Hi Michelo, this is definitely a great mod to do and was part of my own mods I done to my 650 as soon as I got it home from the dealership. I chose to rivet my ones on but it means drilling the mud guards
I wish I had done mine when I got my bike, would have save my bike a bit. There was the option to put rivets in the one I got too, but I was so impressed with how strong the adhesive pads were I genuinely could not pull it apart. For a bit of extra insurance I put a beed of silicone on the under side to stop moisture going in-between the two sections. Thanks again for tuning it 👍
@michelod.i.y.5202 I had most of my mods before I took delivery of my bike. I was buying bits and bobs every month and when the bike was ready I more of less had everything for it. Have a look for a rad guard too if you haven't already got one then that's that end pretty well protected
@@BMCMOTOUK I would definitely do the same when I'm ready for another bike. Had a good look at the 2024 CB650R when I was at the motorbike show, was quite tempted. The Hornet 750 visually disappointed me, parts on it look like they have been made to a budget. The front end looks practically identical to my bike which they have been doing since 2014. One motorbike repair place I went to was putting me off putting rad guards saying the can damage the radiator, not sure how much truth there is in that.
@michelod.i.y.5202 I gave the new 2024 CB650R some thought but I've decided to hang on to my 650 for the meantime as it doesn't owe me anything plus her indoors wants a new bathroom and if I blow my savings on another bike I think she would kill me lol. I completely agree with you on thd Hornet. It looks cheap and unfinished, plus the lack of rear mudguard will no doubt do the bike any favours
