I grew up in former Yugoslavia and survived a war that was happening in my country staring at 1991 and ending at 1996. It was the first event that I thought of when I heard you speak of upcoming planetary event. This time around I am located in USA and I hope and pray that this transit does not manifest in the same manner as it did back then. We can only wait and see. 🙏

Oh!!! This is fascinating. This Mars cazimi, comes after healing and grieving the loss of my Dad. The cazimi of 91' I was grieving the loss of my mother, she passed on my Dads birthday of 1990. Mom was a double Scorpio, my 1stH Scorpio, natal Saturn & Ceres in Taurus. The Mars cazimi's seem to give me just the right amount of time to hit the floor, sink into the floor, and begin to rise again.
Hugs. I lost my mom within a few months of that 91 cazimi too.
Sames. My dad died last November and this weekend November 19 is the anniversary of his memorial 🕊️🥹
I am very fascinated by this transit, as I was not yet born in 1991. I was born on November 16th 1997 (yes Happy birthday to me!)
So this is the first time experiencing this. Besides being a scorpio Sun I am also a scorpio rising having both at 23 and 24 degrees of scorpio. So not only is Mars my ruler but also It‘s my birthday and this is happening on my sun/ascendant degrees. I can really feel this huge rebirth moment.
While I was born and raised in Switzerland my family is from the balkans and many of them lived through the fall of yugoslavia. So much of relatives still live in various parts and I will visit them soon, hope nothing similar happens.

This is amazing. My son was born Dec 93, when this conjunction between sun and mars occurred in my 5th house! Literal cord cutting and separation marking a new beginning!! ❤
I was born during the Mars cazimi in ♉. I'd been conceived in contention- absorbed a twin in the womb and ended up being the only ginger in the extended family, immediate rejection (younger sister heralded as the Golden Child) and "parentified"- I became responsible for fixing how I "had ruined their lives by being born". Recurring themes of lack of security, instability and social conflict growing up. I don't recommend being someone else's karma, but I can attest to the magick of such an astrological event- received a strange call in the middle of writing this that is nothing but glitchy dial-up noises (been a wild month). I went back 2 years to 1989.The opening of the Iron Curtain and tearing down the Berlin Wall, was a process before the fall of USSR in 1991. Mars cazimi in Libra was around 10/4/89, but the diplomatic relations to allow passage to those who couldn't cross the border started in early Aug 89...eventually leading to the fall of the wall Nov 9 1991. Tense negotiations and leaders stepping down happened around the Libra cazimi late Sept/early Oct in 1989. I think we can give a little wiggle room to Mars transits in relationship to the chart of a nation, lunar transits, or other triggers. If you look at the flow of events in 1989, leading to dissolving the Eastern block, the big moves happened right around a Mars cazimi reset in Libra (working through diplomacy), then 2 years later during Mars cazimi in Scorpio 1991 (executing the task), which is the final completion. The stages of dissolution fit the Mars cycles. I'll be paying attention to what's happening with Ukraine, which is essentially old USSR territorial beef, over the next month.
Yes, in general major transits do echo out in both directions in time. I did a deep dive into Jupiter Neptune cycles and found that to be very true. It is on my astrology channel Astro HiFi. Even the extreme levels of migration that we see happening all over the world due to various circumstances are related to the Jupiter Neptune conjunction that we had, if you look back historically with the last time Jupiter and Neptune were conjunct in Pisces the same thing happened with major migrations, people moving to different parts of the world due to famine or war or what have you.
Also thank you for sharing this information about how these Mars cazimis coincided with these world events. It's interesting that the USSR fell during the last Mars in Scorpio Cazimi because I feel like Mars in Scorpio really wants to push for a complete overhaul, and with Cazimi finally has the full power to do so. It's like things just cannot be at all what they were. We will come out at the end of this with something in the world completely different from what it was before.

The morning before the Mars Cazimi 1993 - which was Christmas - my mom caught my dad on the phone with his girlfriend. Explosion, severing, conflict. I was 14. As I learned astrology the last few years I found out he was having all 3 major midlife transits at once at that time. Now this information about the Mars cazimi. The context has been enlightening.
In 1991 I was living abroad and it was a transformative experience. Now, I'm living abroad and in an intense transformation. the cazimis not in Scorpio were all conflict related. Moves, leaving jobs, relationships. But in Scorpio, for me sun, rising, mercury seem to be times of massive transformation.
This is amazing to think back and see how these times in my life consistently rhyme and flow. It reminds me of the journey of The Fool card to The World card in the Tarot. As well as the Wheel of Fortune card (Journey song stuck on repeat in my head now!) Endings and beginnings are one and the same. Beginnings and endings can only exist if both are present. We cannot know what light is without the contrast of dark. It’s so beautifully mystical! How this rhythm within is a rhythm of one... I have no words…

I guess the split up of Charles and Diana could fit into the 1991 period? Officially they split in 1992 but likely it was happening in 91 and Charles being a Scorpio, I’m calling it! Haha. 1991. Huge events in my life. My spiritual mentor had died. I went to Mauritius. Sold my business. Got divorced and went to India. I hope this current aspect doesn't trigger this kind of radical change.

Well... I have to double check a couple of dates, but... almost every Cazimi there must have been a resolution of some inner or outer conflict because I started either writing or making art of some sort... this video was so enlightening! I had just turned 16 October 1991. November 16 me and my best friend were walking to my house from the boarding stable where my horse was. As she and I were walking home, she was struck by a pickup truck. The driver kept driving and never stopped, just left us there on a country road. I ran a ways to find help, unfortunately she died the next day. They eventually found the driver, but I was never the same after that.

Since you drew a blank I have one for Aries Mars Cazimi in 2013...traumatic dissolution of engagement that catapulted me 3000 miles away, literally the same week. Natal Mars in Aries close enough to cazimi, which fits the tragic events leading up to leaving (plus he ruined my birthday!), right on time to trigger my natal promise.

Very cool! So seems like Sun/Mars happens every 2 years, in different signs, and so individually some old conflict in one particular area ends to start a new cycle. Though 1991 was definitely massive: the dissolution of the Soviet Union giant, Yugoslavia. And then conflicts started within those areas, like some ethnic movements there.
I was born in 1996 so i remember events since 2008: moved city to go from primary school to high school (sagittarius), 2011 god kicked out of high school and changed my social circle (aquarius), 2013 end of high school moved to live on my own (aries), 2015 started working in my first carreer related summer job(which i wouldnt have found if it wasent from the pivotal event in 2008. 2017 was in the beginning of a very pivotal relationship (conjunct my moon in leo), 2019 the end of my first season working at a new job (highly regarded company in the field, my 11th house), 2021 leaving that career and retreating to a hermit mode (my 12th house)allowing to make space for clearing the remnants of my pivotal relationship and making space for my now husband, 2023 giving birth at the cazimi in scorpio my rising sign. all very pivotal and drastic changes THAT LED ONE TO ANOTHER wow didnt make the link between this and the mars cycle thank you

February 2011 was when my dad, “Rocket Man” passed away.
Hi! I had my birthday on November, 26 th and I was born in 1991. One of the things that really caught my attention when I took a look at my Solar Return Chart was noticing that Venus, Mercury and Mars were all conjunct their natal positions. The conjunctions were exact or one degree apart. Mercury was about to turn retrograde, also! The only difference was that this year Mars was already in Sagittarius, whereas when I was born it was still in the last degrees of Scorpio.
I was like, how usual is that? I did some research to find out if this was something that happened around your 32nd birthday, but I find nothing.
Anyways, I take it as something special, as a year encouraging me to go after my Soul's purpose.

I think to the way people can miss how a transit is showing up in their lives also is they get fixated on a particular aspect of the symbolism. I saw a recent discussion online where a person was convinced there would be themes of romantic obsession in their life when Pluto transited their Venus. Well of course that is not going to be what happens for everyone. There are a multitude of ways that these planetary energies can work together.

In Africa Eritrea seceded from Ethiopia and became an independent country. Up to this time the International community allowed African countries to repress any uprisings that could lead to secession. The borders drawn by Europeans for Europeans in the late 19th century had to be maintained at all costs. This secession was a major change.

So fascinating- my life saw everything from non conflict to conflict - Oct 2006 in libra - I went to interior design college and libra is my 10th house where I have my natal Venus and Mercury conjunct! 2008 I lost my beloved dog to cancer which was devastating to me. I got married in 1991, getting divorced 2017, a happy move. So all over the place as far as being able to label them ‘good or bad’

2002 August the cazimi in Leo 18° conjunct my IC and my Dad's Ascendant. My Dad had a serious stroke. 2004 September Virgo 22° cazimi, he passed away. 2008 December Sagittarius 14° conjunct my Venus and Descendent, I was in a divorce. 2015 June Gemini 23° in a conflict with my boss and later in August I left. 2017 Leo 4° conjunct my Jupiter opposite my Sun. I completely cut off the ties with my hometown.
I feel like my experiences is more about cutting ties than being in conflicts.

In 4 th house my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer she was in ICU touch and go
What were the astrological transits like during the time of the Partition of India (Both India and Pakistan became independent nations in 1947, and I think that was also around the same time that Israel became a nation). These also had a lot of events leading up to the actual separation.
May/June 2015 - that was the end of my first relationship ever. It was sad cause I behaved terrible back then, makes me ashamed of myself and sometimes I wanna go back to fix it.
July/Aug 2017 - had a friend who I considered close back then. We did mетн back then and he ended up steeling my phone and running away.
Aug/Sept 2019 - had this "friends" circle which made me believe I was part of a "real men team" but it was just me embarassing myself
Oct 2021 - the ABSOLUTE GREATEST depression and desperation in my life, I didnt felt like I had a reason to live. I had another relationship drama and was almost gonna κίΙΙ myself with drυgs.
RIGHT NOW - I almost ruined my career and Im waiting to see what will unfold next week.
It may not be because of the Transits, it could be just me being irresponsible and ungratefull.

Interesting bc mars rules my 2nd and 7th and each of those years I had something involved with money or relationships- when it was in libra (my Asc) it seemed to point to a rebirth of self. Right now I’m in a mars ruled, scorpio 2nd house time lord year, so we shall see…
This transit was a part of my Saturn's return. Start of a relationship 2021. Ending this new moon. Seems like I get in legal issues at this time as well.

The series of these starting with 1991 through to October 2006 were ALL related to me relocating, first from California to South Carolina and from there to North Carolina then back to California then to Toronto and so on and so on - literally to the month, i was leaving a place, community and people, in some very dramatic ways - major emotional upheaval between myself and others. The remaining series were more intensity related to romantic dynamics (including a similar situation where i dated a man in separation with his wife - did not go well but i learned several things too!). 2011 i escaped an abusive relationship and proceeded to go into hiding. Anyway, very poignant to track these transits (and not all of them were dramatically negative ha ha!)
I really don't see it in my history. Could it be that my Libra Mars isn't very strong in my chart being a Capricorn sun?
I have a big question. I love these tracking exercises so much, and I appreciate you noting all the Cazimis of the past. They gave me dates to track in my own life. But the last video, (November 14: Mars Cazimi in Scorpio: How it works and Why it's Special) you talked about Mars/Sun Cazimis in a much more positive way--- as being ambitions, actions towards our goals, a moment of empowered action, will, power....courage, strength, determination. You did mention conflicts (as part of the shadow side of Mars) but overall, I got these Mars Cazimis as almost goal setting and strengthening our will and determination FOR something.
But here, both in the larger political frame and in your own life, you are tracking conflicts, almost exclusively. Severance, cord cutting, ends and beginnings of conflicts.
I was wondering if I should more be looking for conflicts AS the seeding of new desires and ambitions and goals, or if I can just have the goal-setting itself as the seed. Or is the seeding ABOUT goal-setting consciously? I'm just trying to understand what a Cazimi does in a person's life---- light the fire towards something? or burn it all down to find something new? (I know that my cazimis will be different because of my chart, but I guess I'm asking what I'm looking for: Conflicts or Goal-Driven quests?

Good question! Just because I noticed meaningful conflicts, doesn't mean that is what everyone else will or should notice. However, while there were cutting of cords and conflicts, I would say in my case that every single one of them represented moments of tremendous empowerment, at the exact same time. So, it's interesting how conflict and empowerment will often come together in these moments. Cazimi doesn't just DO one thing...it is a symbol, a multivalent oracular symbol, that can represent a variety of different events or experiences, and themes, that are consistent with the core of the archetype. An empowered Mars moment can be a moment of conflict, which likely requires courage. IT could be the sign of burning something down and cutting a cord. It could be a moment of empowerment physically or emotionally, where one is able to assert oneself more easily or with great effort express something that is very difficult (as in choosing to get a divorce from someone who is sick or abusive). So many possibilities, honestly! I took a more positive approach this week, for sure, but if you listen back you'll hear me discussing how the combination can be about "meaningful conflict," as a core theme... I hope this helps - it's a great question!

Conflict and Empowerment co-present in a Mars cazimi! That's very fascinating. I went back and tried to find the Mars-Sun Oppositions too and their dates to see if I could SEE what had been seeded by what developed during the Opposition (which I guess is probably a conflict too!). It's given me a lot to track! Thank you again.
I was thinking the same as Adam mentioned the different dates throughout. A couple did mark the end of conflicts, two I was driven to change moving countries.Another two, 2000 & 2006 I gave birth a month before the transits & had career changes where I started when both my boys were 1 month old. I remember both bringing me inner conflict. Am I being a good mother & 2013 I started a business. Most of these transits, I would say I, were definitely driven for big changes in my life.

almost every one i was in a weird transition of homelessness or close - some version of chaos rental houses being sold, separation, later removing in... crisis accommodation .... aaaand coming up our eldest son is moving out we dont know how to afford living here with our youngest son.. just an fyi for the patterns o_O
My parents separated in 1989, but I am pretty certain they actually got a divorce in November of 1991. I need to ask my Dad(my mom doesn’t even remember that I was born at night/she told me noon and it was actually 11:23PM haha).
October 2006 is when me and my first gf had a big break up lol interesting
December 2008 was right as my ascendant was progressing into Sagittarius!
Random but February 2011 was one of the best months of my life, my wife and I had just met a few months before and February 2011 had taken our relationship to the next level!
Right around June 2015 I was arrested (for something incredibly stupid) and went to jail for like two hours and it started this terrible court process that was eventually thrown out (because it was all nonsense and everybody knew it)… for context’s sake, I was outspoken and a little unbalanced in my disdain for authority and I took it upon myself to stand between the police and a loved one who was having some trouble at the time and they flat out threw me on the ground and handcuffed me lol This all bled into the beginning of my Saturn return also 😅
July 2017 I was starting a new job that I was not thrilled about and Leo just happens to be my natal 10th house
