Thanks for sharing why you can get by with an older truck, because you do the work saving over 140.00 per hour. This is how it was done by owner operators back in the day. Used to see some guys overhauling their truck in a truck stop parking lot. Awesome job

@@TruckingTogether I saw a guy at Bigelow road overhaul a mack and I did 2 full rounds from Minnesota to Los Angeles and he was just buttoning it up when I was on my way out for the 3rd round. He had other drivers offering to help out too. Those days are gone forever, and it's the loss to these new tank top shower shoe wannabes .keep your head up and don't look back. Luke ch 9 vs 62. I had complete confidence in you that you would fix it !! When you have a few spare dollars I would highly recommend you get a large tent or something to pull the truck under when you are working on it to get out of the sun..........also get a large out door / shop fan ........ Working in the heat drains your energy .......and for me makes me lose my temper faster. Just a thought. Great to see you are back on the road.

Before I retired, I noticed that they were moving towards that cheap plastic loom. I see that it just doesn't stand up, getting brittle and sharp. Perhaps, next time you run into a wiring issue, there is a better quality aftermarket loom use can "sub" to protect those vulnerable wires? Congrats on the successful (and money saving) repair! I think I enjoy watching you work on the truck as much as I enjoy watching you on the road. Martin, you are a true professional and Alice, you are a great business and family partner, too.

A witch was flying her broom along when she noticed that all the other witches were flying on vacuum cleaners.
She thought, "Am I the only one still driving a stick?"

Martin , you the man. But please tell me why you didn't take and put the truck in your Air Conditioned shop to work on. It would have been much cooler. Where you live and the heat, the shop should be a priority. Is the winters there just as brutal ?

No winters here are mild, 60s during the day mostly.

Saw the truck in Eugene, OR going south bound on I-5 on Wednesday. Tried hollering at him on the CB, but I was going the opposite way, so I don't no if he was able to hear me.
