      Every day of him playing in the actual strong era !
      I truly miss that decade. Pure attacking tennis.
      Pure shotmakers like Nalbadian, Soderling , Safin.
      Great players like Hewitt, Davydenko, Roddick and many more.
      This is the actual weak era of tennisnin which Luckovic is winning slams against 40 year old Uncle Roger and a bunch of social media kids.

      @@along1298 I agree with you in a way but I think Del Po's forhand is too flat and he strikes mostly down the line but Fernando's dyagonals are rockets.

    6:55 is the proof of what top players can do, the speed at which Fernando decide to go from the split step into his forehand to return the serve is astonishing.
    He hits it mid air, deep into the court with huge power, freaking insane.

    I got his autograph at the Us open in 2007. Very nice to the fans, and he was surprisingly muscular for a tennis player. Very broad shoulders, I would guess over 200lbs.

    Players like Gonzalez made the 90s and 2000s eras more interesting than the 2010-2019. These generations have more attacking shots than the 2010s gen imo

      @@loichte6831 Thiem is like Gonzalez but if he traded some pure velocity for a lot more spin. That's not to say Thiem can't flatten out his shots, but he usually prefers putting lots of spin.

    Great highlight reel. Missing the presence of any of the great shots to beat Nadal in the 07' Australian Open. One of the few matches that I've seen ever, where Rafa was completely beaten, and the best years of Fernando's career.

    Gonzalez is just a shade below Rios as Chile's best male tennis player. Rios is a personal favourite in my opinion but Gonzalez can be argued to be Chile's best player

      I'm not sure. Rios reached the number 1, but his career was short. Gonzalez and Massu won gold medals in the Olympics and their careers were more stable.

    Best decade of tennis ever! It had
    Legends like Agassi, Sampras and Roger.
    Greats like Safin, Roddick, Hewitt.
    Monsters like Nalbadian, Gonzalez, Davydenko.
    Talented up and coming players like Nadal, Novak, Delpotro, Murray.
    One thing I have finally realized is that 2010-19 was the actual weak era of tennis in which Djokovic has encashed massively by beating 40 year old uncle Roger and a bunch of average players like Anderson and social media wannabe kids.

    These terrific players just show us how competitive the so-called "weak-era" greatest Federer dominated. Kids look at Zverev, Tsitispas, or Medvedev and say they're better than the last generation, but the fact is Federer's generation was far more superior than today's.
