New Bajaj Pulsar F250 and N250 | First Ride Review | PowerDrift

- Meet the brand new Bajaj Pulsar F250 and N250. The new 250cc Pulsars are based on a completely new platform, that, Bajaj says, will replace the entire current Pulsar line-up in the next 18-24 months. And Bajaj has done a fantastic job here. It's easy to forget that you are riding a Pulsar, especially with that super-slick 5-speed gearbox, superb quality components, and fresh design. Talking about that gearbox, before you complain about the lack of a 6th cog, we suggest you ride the Pulsars and then judge. Because Bajaj has set the ratios so well that you don't miss it. While the F250 will co-exist with the 220F for now, the latter will be discontinued soon. The N250 is mechanically the same as the F250, but has a few changes here and there like a tubular handlebar, lack of the bigger fairing, and some more. With a near 50:50 weight distribution, the 250 Pulsars handle much better too. But all of this is subjective, based on Shumi and Varun's first ride. We shall find out how they fare against the likes of the Yamaha FZ25, Suzuki Gixxer (SF) 250, and their cousins, the Dominar 250 and the Duke 250, in a comparo soon.

Compare to Dominar 250 ?
@@hra After varun's comments on f250, i'm soo impressed. i would personally suggest to go for f250 but I think a bit logical to wait for sometime until we get some user experiences about the motorcycles.
Hi @Powerdrift , can you compare NS200 and N250 because price wise they're very much in competition.

I feel Bajaj hasn't targeted someone who IS looking out to buy a 250cc for his/her passion, rather someone who is going out there to get a 180cc or a 200cc, sees the price tag of these 250cc bikes, takes a moment, slightly stretches their budgets and gets home one of these!
I think they looked at the rising fuel prices and thought let's make a motorcycle which can be used for daily purpose.
Precisely, the feel good factor of having a 250cc and comparatively good economy than say a ktm is more than enough for the kind of buyers this bike is targeted at.
Exactly it will be the target
@@bhargavhangal4094 yes your statement is v true, I'm also looking forward to buy duke 250
@@Vikrum_ According to Bajaj these are pre-production units. Basically engineering samples, so there are a lot of fit and finish issues that'll be fixed in the final customer version. We'll have to wait and see.
I also took delivery of N250 (techno grey) last week , did a trip of 500 km from kochi to vagamon to idduki to munnar and back to kochi, sharing my initial review. Bike looks damm good ,is comfortable , gearing is butter smooth, pickup is amazing . This is a 3rd gear bike you can ride the bike in 3rd gear from 20 kmph to 80 kmph easily. Didn't touched 100kmph till now waiting for 1st service . I rode the bike in hills and didn't face any issues in cornering , can easily touch the knees to the road. About breaks front is damm good , rear is ok not a lot of bite but it's good since it has single channel ABS. People who are complaining about the 6th gear, listen to me you will not be even able to use 5th gear in the city traffic. I still didn't used 5th gear in my whole trip. You can easily do 100-110 in 4th gear.
Now about the cons , bike is heavy . It is a bit difficult to maneuver in parking. Other then that my bike fell to the side while parking because there was gravels on the road and both footpegs broke instantly , soo keep in mind even if your bike is standing still and it falls to either side the foot pegs will break instantly, bajaj should improve the quality of the foot pegs. Millage that I got was around 30kmpl but in the display it shows 39kmpl.
Overall value for money bike no issues in engine , refinement, pickup, torque , comfort and most importantly looks. Peace out ✌️
Bro are the seats comfortable for long trips? Do you get a back ache or butt ache after riding it for long?
Bro is your N250 wobbling in 120 plus speed bro 🤔
Mileage is 30? Other reviewers told it's 38kmpl
bro how did u calculate the mileage ?? I also own N250 (black variant with dual channel ABS) and in my console also it showed 39 kmpl only..i thought i was getting around 40.. Can you pls explain how you managed to get the actual mileage pls?
How is the bike now? How is its built quality holding up? Is it still intact or became all loose like many pulsars
The design slowly grows on you. Gotta say the front section looks like the discover had a face lift.
The N250 looks like a Kids imagination of A MT
Ye India hai bhai ek windshield ke chakkar me Gixxer sf 250 jaisi behtareen bike ki sales dheemi hain. This design will never grows on Indian minds. Pulsar 220 apne time me nayi cheez thi. Usne Indian bike market ko nayi definition di. Ye bas ek nakaam upgrade hai just like Karizma ZMR. No matter what they're offering. Young boys will never love this. They need sick unique affordable bike with goddamn road presence. Hum buddhe ladko ka time nahi hai. They Love KTM , R15's and Ninjas.
Bass yahi sunna reh gya tha
@@visordownn yeah naked version sucks big time. That design is worst. F is somewhat okay.
Lol
Engine and all is good but who’re the designers at Bajaj? I mean look around in the market what kind of substandard designs they come up with. Seems post 220f they’re all in slumber. Pulsars like 220f and NS Adventure were far far better in design than this quirky thing
Sachme yaar. N250 could have been a proper street bike. With handle bars raised like mts and dukes and all the others. And tanks could have been wider. Bajaj experiements with so many models. Lol
Yes these are weird. Rc was good
Lol
I have a 220 and the only thing i miss in that bike is four valves. The bike is quick from zero to triple digit speeds but struggles to hold that speed on the highway. Wish bajaj updated the 220 with four valves just like hero did with the xpulse.
I have a 220 and haven't had any issue on the highway. What speed is it struggling to hold?
Agreed, and a 6th gear maybe? I'm being a bit greedy but that'd be great.
Man, what the hell is wrong with bajaj , they really did fuck the aesthetics of the bike . Pulsar 200 Ns is still the coolest bike of Bajaj in terms of design and the grunt for that segment .
Bro!!!
There is nothing wrong with Bajaj.
They played safe.
These two pulsars are not in a league of 200NS so don't compare it with 200NS.
If you want sheer power + performance + aesthetically well designed + 6th gear than just go for 200NS.
and and and...........
If you want a mature bike which can do all your daily duties like city commuting , weekend breakfast rides and highway crusing than you can go for these two motorcycles.
This has nothing to do with ns and rs. It is replacement of 220f. And then n250 can handle the competition well (Gixxer, fz).
They may upgrade ns and rs separately
that's because Bajaj worked by themselves and they fucked up
bajaj bikes with Kawasaki and ktm are really good and iconic but now bajaj suddenly went 10 years in past
bajaj doesn't know how to make their own engine at all
@@watchitdogs2280 wow short thinking. Bajaj can make their own engines, but when you have already quite similar engines from ktm, why bother to make new engines which will cost a lot of money for R&D? Besides the engines on these two bikes are relatively new but still some components will be borrowed because it is cheaper than to make a whole new component
You dont understand the reason behind the launch of these bikes then. They were never targeted for high revving and high performance, since it is supposed to be a 220 replacement, Bajaj designed it more like a 250cc commuter with good enough power and decent handling characteristics, hence why it has 5 speed gearbox and 2 valve engine. Not everything is about performance bro, people have different wants and needs, you have to know that
I can't believe Bajaj finalised these designs. Looks inspired from Hero Xtreme series, Yamaha's fz 25 series and the old faired Bajaj's own Discover.
I don’t feel that way, looks definitely feel like they have come from AS200. However N250 doesn’t feel like its Pulser-ish.
@@go2za_yami779 bro don't look only at the visor. Look at the tank tank, the exhaust, the grab rails. Only the visor looks like AS that too from a certain angle, more like the faired version of Discover.
There is a hint of rtr in it
@@go2za_yami779 it's sneakily MTish from the front
I was more inclined towards Karizma. Like how a Karizma would look if it were slightly modified.

I don't understand why so much hatred towards these motorcycles, they are just fantastic and doing a job very well that they are made for... i.e. daily commuting. Liquid cooling, 6th gear, wider tyres, usd forks are only required when there is a actual use of these otherwise why would anybody want pay extra price for no reason.
+1
Exactly, your comments are reason for hatred of this bike... When it comes to yamaha, people complain they don't give r15 and mt15 usd but when it comes to Indian brand everything can be negligible...😂🤣😂.. Why does 150cc yamaha bikes need usd while 250cc bajaj don't? We all know n250 copied mt15 shamelessly but we won't complain because it's 250cc for the price of mt15.. 😂🤣😂I'm not saying its your or bajaj fans/riders fault.. But many haters are mt15 fans calling the hypocrisy of Indian 2 wheeler buyers because n250 directly compete with mt15...
I have not seen idiot like you this year.
Liquid cooling is better than air cooling.
6th gear doesn't make bike worse.
Wider tyres helps the bike stabilization. Why only 130 section tyre ? Even FZ 150 with 125cc like power have 140 section tyre. So 150 section tyre is must for 250cc.
USD forks handles the bike more than other suspension. So its a good thing.
Cleverly the powerdrift and you completely missed the absence of dual channel ABS. It's only have single channel ABS . It's like handling the bike with single hand. So dual ABS or not ABS . Other countries has all these feature as basic standard.
@@rajeshranjan5170 You got to be the dumbest and most ignorant person here. There is only one bike in the same price range and that is the FZ25. They made it affordable and it is for city commuting on harsh Indian roads. It is not there to compete with any sports bike or such, liquid cooling is not required on a bike producing 25ps at 250cc. They have to target every audience and make bikes according to their needs.
@@THUGPUTIN i never complained...not even a single time, trust me. I still have an opinion that r15 didn't require USD forks neither ktm duke/rc 125, 200 did require usd, 110/150section tyres and bigger disc with radially mounted calliper and same can be say for a TVS apache lineup. Everything here is done just for an asthetic purpose without realising their actual use even bajaj had done so many nonsense things for a multiple time. What's important is a reliable, high quality machine which serve best to a target audience i think yamaha FZ25 is most likeable motorcycle here .
The way I see it,
These are solid everyday motorcycles with actual useable power....
& as history suggests , spec sheets are just numbers at the end of the day & do not define how motorcycle may feel or ride.
Exactly
Just look at the rr310
Absolutely. The amount of hate these bikes got on Instagram was shocking. And i was explaining how these were mature practical machines to them and all they cared was 1. No USD Forks 2. No 6th Gear 3. 250cc and just 24 bhp??? No one cared to see the rpms at which these made those figures. 😥
@@virud16 and what about the new rc 200? I think that was the most underrated and hated ktm. That bike is just lit and people hate it just because the look is not good enough comparing to previous one
@@virud16 you're right. The price would be in duke200 range had bajaj given all of those. Just look at what happened to rr310.had all the hyped up features

In terms of look
I still love the Pulsar 220F and NS200.
I still love how it revs, how it goes.
Thats just bilnd obession
i mean hating F250 even when its clearly better than predecessor.. that has to be a blind obsession with 220f
Yeah , in terms of looks , Ns Looks Lot Attractive
@@aseemsayyad6478 Blind obsession? N250 looks better than NS but 220F still looks better than F250
bajaj tried to do extra with F250's looks and it just feels skinny and brittle. Only someone who thinks "new means better" would agree.
Lots of polarising opinions.
I believe Bajaj has played it safe and well. Fits perfectly in their portfolio without undermining the Dukes and RCs.
Also the Dominor
@@anirudhps1150 I feel the 250 Dominar is a little out of place currently with these new Pulsars coming it. It needs to redefine the hyper tourer aspect of it to stay relevant. Maybe more adjustability, features, etc to make it more distinct.
I feel the main reason this pulsar didn't get the dual channel abs and a sixth gear is because of the Dominor , including those features would have made this bike around 1.7 on road while the Dominor is around 1.8 on road. But now these two have a gap of 20k which I feel is needed so that Dominor is not undermined.
I feel these will be very easy to live with bikes.
@@anirudhps1150 Yeah. There were reports where Dominar sales were down to single digits just before the Pulsars were launched. Dominar is the middle child now, needs to do something remarkable to get the attention. 😂

They forgot (or forced not to) mention the design, color schemes are clearly inspired by Ducati, Yamaha MT15 and Hornet 2.0.
Also, when they review bikes other than Bajaj, they deliberately compare them with bajaj Pulsar and also mention how good Pulsar is. When they review Pulsar, they don't compare it with any other company bikes. LOL

Bajaj have done a remarkable job with these 2... It feels very much difference...
Please ask them not to replace the 220f. That thing is in our hearts. Although needs modern features but dont want to see that out of sale. New technology should be added and the 220f should definitely stay on sale a decade more.
How many will u buy to keep to up for sale?
@@samhandique2631 this isn't your toothpaste bro. You dont need to buy the same thing every month. You dont buy a motorcycle every month. If u really want to know the popularity of 220f go stand in any Indian city roads. U ll get the answer (if u r not from a remote village/India/earth, go RIP).
@Sam Handique.. I think you don't know about the 220F ... A Motorcycle introduced in 2007 and still it's one of the Leading Bike in India. NS200 was a perfect rather complete package when launched even with TVS's solid RTR200 BS6, we still get highest torque plus 6th gear in NS200. For 90s kids and young uncles like me (35 to 45) who are not enthusiasticly young anymore and not boringly old yet, we need a 250cc motorcycle with upright posture, all safety features and comfortable pillion seat for the spouse. That is an untapped market
Then this is the bike for you.
Test ride and decide!
@Jag exactly.. coz with age you don't want too racy bikes just something practical.

Dominar 250 and fz25 are those bikes, but yeah test ride the options and decide
I can't figure out what these bikes bring new to the market because if someone wants performance they'll go for KTM or Gixxers, and if they want comfort and refinement they'll go for the FZ25 or Dominar. All these looks and justify their price better than the Pulsar 250 twins.
These bikes are everyday stylish commuters with just the dose of performance for occasional highway rides.Perfect intro to new pulsar lineup.
If Bajaj is litsening, scrap the NS160 and use this platform to build a N160/175.

I dont think so it is same like 200ns not perfect as 220f
Bajaj did such a poor works with the ergonomic of the bikes. 250f just simply looks like the upgraded version of discover 125. Nothing special. As for 250N, it looks similar to yamaha mt. Bajaj could have done much much better. 220F still the best bajaj out there. Better to get 220 instead of 250f or 250n.
I dont get it why people hate these bikes
They are very much practical and VFM.
Bajaj is playing safe here, people should treat them as per that only.
In my opinion these bikes are just Great buys!

Excellent motorcycles by Bajaj!
But honestly, nothing in the world can replace the legendary P220f!!!
You can live in dreams . Whatever
Yes 220 has live maintance as its perfect without any maintance tensions.. good level seating good torque ... Good socks.back mostly
I don't thik. This bike will replace 220f.. cuz legends never die...
They should have given a 4-Valve engine, poor choice of engine seriously. This would have made a day and night difference all together, they could have charged the extra money for the extra 2-valves, but even at 1.50lac, it would have been a whole lot different story than this. I am disappointed to be honest, feels like they added a bigger bore and a new engine cover to the old 220F engine.
That wasn't the point. They already have dominar for that. Two valve engines are extremely cheap to maintain. This is all about affordable upgrade to 220.
2 valve = more practical, wide torque.
@@AKDEO also slow reving and dominar 250 with 4 valves makes more torque.
@@AKDEO at lower rpm.. tye torque curve for much bulky Dominars is very good inspite of the 250 engine. This is like more practical.

Bajaj has done the job nicely . they take the time and crafting India's favorite entry-level sports bike
Maybe we expected too much from the pulsar 250s. These bikes could've been so much better, but they did not want to eat into the sales of the Dominar 250 and the KTMs and the Husqvarnas.
Also, anyone in this budget definitepy wouldn't go for a 250cc bike given the rising fuel costs.
This feels underwhelming.
Oh man... What an awesome entry of our hero Shumi g !!
which bike do you recommend in heavy traffic and cornering N250 or F250
With the launch of the pulsars, bajaj seems to have turned a blind eye towards the dominar 250 which IMHO is good value- more power, modern drivetrain(4v, 6th gear), dual channel abs, USD forks, liquid cooling and touring friendly for 20k more. With just 4 dealer dispatches in september and indefinite waiting periods with dealers having no clue when they'll be allocated new units (trust me i know coz ive booked one). All for pushing the new pulsars which frankly seem like they are decent commuters at best in this class :-/

Bhai ye bike mix of both hai. Tour karna hai Domi lelo I own one and its a sweet ass budget tourer in both avatars.
Now Bajaj will continue this design for next 10 years with minor colour update 😐
Anything that gets me away from the 150CC displacement catagory. I know how Shumi said not to spread hate but I can't justify the on road price of a certain Japanese 150CC bike ending with an M. Where as this is absolutely a steal. I've been dying inside ever since Honda discontinued the CBR250R. It was a fantastic motorcycle that I couldn't afford at the time. But this. Feels like a dream come true. A 250CC light on the pocket, pretty slick looking motorcycle. Motorcycles to be precise.
I guess Bajaj's partnership with Triumph will bring forth a new breed of performance oriented machines. This is the start of a beutiful relationship based on a heap of displacement.
Well said. There is no replacement for displacement but given fuel prices, the R15M does make sense for the tech and power it provides for the price. I still do think the Gixxer SF250 at that price is better. Coming to the new Pulsars, just get an FZ25 if you need a 250 at this price. Its better any day.
Great video Guys ❤️🔥. Looks eh... In photos. Let's see how they turn out in the flesh.
Thanks for the review and it was very charismatic as usual.
I see few things could have been added
1. How much the twins are touring friendly?
2. Why should I buy these as with few thousands more I will get the dominar 250 which has better hardware and features.
3. Even though you touched upon the competition for just few seconds, what exactly does bajaj bring to the pulsars as a positive considering fz25 alone per price point. We should probably not consider the gixxers as they are more premium and to be pitted against the dukes.
Your second point answers your first.. need touring? Go Dominar.
Need city bike, maybe the new gen Pulsar 160/180 shall do. Need a bit of both. Take one of these.
@@siddheshgharat6300 thanks for the comment. This could be a generalized opinion. But I will wait for the answer from the folks who did the review as none of us haven't touched these so far in flesh.

Nicely done....
But what Iam missing in your videos is a dedicated shot of the bike's exhaust note
You guys are fun.. Always a laugh-time whenever I watch your videos.. Good job Guys..
Thanks for Ride review, I was waiting for it ❤️
Hope it answered all the questions!
@@powerdriftofficial Yes it Did 👍
Back then there was only 1 king ... the 220F. Now there are many competing for the throne😅
I feel the age of half fairings in India are gone. Let's see.
Awesome review Shumi and Varun👏👏👏
Thanks Abhilash!
Happy to see, new bikes being lunched with new designs but not much difference in power and torque then NS 200cc. Overall,Delighted to see new ones coming every new month. 👍. By the way is the tank body fully metal, plastic or fibre? Awating, more lunches in the coming months. Anxious and excited. Loved your review. Take care and see you soon.
N250 with more colour schemes, will buy one for sure
U r review inspired me to buy fz25
Savage!😁
For a reason, i know this comment is just for likes. These are a lot better than fz25
@@jayace3458 then u should not comment here....
@@jaisreeramsd34 I'm not saying a punchline
Reviewer themselves said that these machines are much better than fz. But still yamaha fanboys gonna talk shit. Your fz doesn't stand a chance against these. Performance, mileage, looks, comfort everything. Fz25 is most unrefined yamaha bike and also have the worst gearbox. Headlight looks shit, console looks shit. Total crap of bike.
I am not sure. The 5-Speed Upsets me as much as look of 250F but 250N - 6 Speed would have been the Talk and Also Power Figures are not as per Expectations.
If they give more power then who will buy 200ns and 250 dominar, or even duke200
But They have given the same power as ns200(delivers in less rpm) and more torq in oil cooled engine
to target lower budget sales in 250 cc badge
A few tweaks in the existing design of the Pulsars with addition of liquid cooling would have been great...I don't see any point in reinventing the wheel...
Waiting for ONE variant with BLUE COLOUR and DUAL CHANNEL ABS and SIGNATURE PULSAR DUAL HORN might HAVE small hike in the price.... that's ok for me.... it's my suggestion for this bike...
I'm looking forward to the RS series 🗿☕
Reduced tank capacity, same tyres as old pulsar ( an issue still not fixed ) no dual channel abs .. am happier with fzs25 rather than this.. even old 220f is ok for me if Bajaj decides to reduce the price after this bike’s release
Same here. 130 section tyre on 250cc bike ? Bajaj sucks.
That side fairing just keeps reminding me of the Honda Stunner.....😐 I'm agreeing with shumi on this (like always), the N250 looks better to me...
24.5bhp Pulsar F250 far better than a 18.5bhp R15, obviously i'ts not fully faired but looks awsome 👌 performance is solid. Compare to R15v4 14.2nm @7500rpm but
The pulsar 250 in 3000rpm you get all the 21nm torque, so pulsar F250 is more quicker & powerful bike.
F250 looks like AS200 biger version and N250 is mix of Hero extreme with mt15.
Maan liya ke engine acchha hai, power hai, refinement hai, sab hai, par wo chemical X (look factor) nahi jo old Pulsar me hai, to kya karu? 😐 ab me job chhod du...? Kuchh to gadbad hai daya

Anyone know when they will renew the NS200 and RS200? and with what specifications?
Design is evolved which is fine, engine is very smooth and torq-y thats good, chassis is good, brakes are decent and appropriate for this bike thats good as well.....but can someone pls suggest bajaj that a dual channel would be just right for a bike which is meant to be ridden in city(even as an option)?
I really hope bajaj is considering dual channel as optional after release...rest all is well.
Loved ❤️ the video. As effortless as these Pulsars.
Thanks Debajit!
@@shu_mar You made my day. 😊
It's so apathetic that today's modern commuting motorcycle "designs" feel like they're inspired by speedy sketch with a rough concept showing some sort of form. They feel like "Feet forward motorcycles" concepts with slight tweaks here and there...certainly because they need to be "economical" at the end.
We're you expecting a "Tron" bike for 1.4 Laks? 😀. How else do you expect them to design a motorbike? With tracks at the back and jets in the front?
@@girishs1755 Atleast not like a Discover-AS crossover for one and Ripping MT off for another. If they can design RS, NS hack the old 22F how could this got finalizeed?
And you wanna tell Hero and TVS ain't designing stellar looking motorcycles under 1.4L? Didn't you saw the new xpulse 4V and RTR 160?
@@visordownn looks are subjective. What you consider good looking, I may not. Stop thinking you're the absolute judge of everything. I think the hero extreme looks ugly and the 250f looks great. To each his own.
@ 7:28 "f is for fairing and n is for nangu" wata hilarious statement...schumi, ur sens of humor is grt along wid varun's....reminds me of this song - forget jhoomar re ...bikers say 'shumar re, shumar re'
Both of the Pulsar is fairly different yet besides eachother. But from the design aspect , the N happens to be the cousin of MT from the face and for both after engine till rear they resemble NS200 and Dominar respectively! Yet from my side , I would go for N250
Excellent job Guys, Shumi is never gonna leave Varun alone for sure😝👍🏻... That N 4 Nangu was epic though🤣
Thanks Anup!
Thanks for an awesome review. ❤️
Each time I see you guys together, it feels like you both are Chacha & Bathija. 😂
😂😂😂
So will there be another sibling of n250 like n150 or something like that
Yes.....n150 and f200 is coming
Loved the last cinematic sequence is added ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻👌🏻
Engine character as you experienced is like 1st gen pulsar. Wished this was a classic re-visit.
I miss 6th gear in 220 everyday
I don’t think you will in the F250
I just want to know which track was playing in the background at 4:28 ... anyone?
Amazing video !! Greetings from Brazil, we're excited to receive both Bajaj's models next month !
6:55 it's looks like discover 150 🤭
Bajaj bikes that were manufactured before 2010 were of excellent build quality and power but whatever was released later are plastic dabbas.
Don't no about the bike ....but for sure this Channel is good ...thumbs up 👍 the way you gives information.... 🙏🙏
Thank you Shiva!
Look at my both brothers... They are on fire... Lot's of love from kolkata....
Thank you Sanjay!
In search of VVT tech we lost 4 valves. 😂😂 nothing special from pulsars
Dayum bro ! Couldn't stop laughing 😂🤣
Waiting for Hero Xpulse 200 4V review.
Oh yes, that is next!
Its fun to watch shumi and varun sir together in a video 😍
They should have let the split twin set headlight stay! We still love those even after a decade
Sorry but it can't replace pulsar 220. 🙂
Nobody:
Literally nobody:
Shumi:
N means Nangu 😂
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Should have added monoshock and usd forks and 250cc to the existing 220 .. That would have been the perfect update
It's 22.15 as I've done watching this and I'm taking a big nap (going to sleep). 😂. As usual amazing review this. Shoutout from Bengaluru ❤️
