I'm sorry but Jeff is right to all you jealous losers out there saying ow he lighter , no he puts 110% in every single time he goes out in the surf kg got nothing to do with it skills and 100's of hrs put into it that's why he is so grate and will all ways be only 1 Jeff Hubboard same with Dave Hubboard . All I know is his bat tail bords work ✋ down thanks for the bord Jeff 😍 😎 Jeff Dave Hubboard 1# respect 💯10%
I can air , roll, even air s and reconnect on air spins, it happens easily, I can even land usually, when I was unwell and out there all the time in shore breaks I could finish and complete the wave, in recovery I very very rarely land and carry on going, I land very often behind the wave or stall without thinking, very often it’s the waves way of telling me that the rides ended, Jeff Hubbard thanks I will practice I’m only 36 and I love bodyboarding and plan to do it for life so I will practice. Hubbard is in another dimension probably from doing it time and time again. I have today a fresh set of skills and perspective amen
After watching Jeff vids busting airs for so long, I finally found this video!🙂 I was always amazed with this humble guy and looked for him for inspiration ever since I started riding the bodyboard 4 years ago! 🙂 Huge thanks to Bodyboard-school for making this happen! Couldn't be more thankful for it! I love bodyboarding for life!!!
I just bought a Hubboard Scifive, and plan to frequent San Clemente soon. Thanks, Jeff for your inspiration. Oh, my board is in the mail. Im stoked to get back in the surf.
I remember the first time I saw a bodyboard to do an air. It was Mike Stewart doing a roll on ESPN the contest was televised. Blew my mind and every time I went to the beach after that I always tried to do one I live on East Coast so the waves aren't that great but I was able to do it a couple times
Me too! I saw that giant air roll at pipeline Mike did like 5 feet above the lip. My walls were covered with pics of Mike and Ben Severson. I was at Huntington beach bodybording and Mike was out. We were on the North side of the pier, I was going left, he was coming at me going right full speed so I pulled off the back and he hit the section and did a giant Air reverse like I never seen before! I'm talking around 1990. He was levels above everyone else! I'm sure Jeff got alot of inspiration from Mike.
@@troycote4503 yep that was the contest at pipe. I remember he did it legit above the lip and must have dropped like 10feet to flat. Considering I think it was the first one ever done in a major contest He laid it down sweet and set the bar real high on how it should be done
bodyboarders deserve respect from surfers. from surfing major waves that surfers wouldnt at the time to airs. shipsterns was ridden by a bodyboarder 1st. so many waves
@@BodyboardSchool i find it interesting that Jeff's pro model is just so different from pretty much every other pro rider's model. in comparison it seems that everyone else is riding the same board.
Pretty simple. Worth being reminded though - Practice! Great interview, thanks.
No way round putting the time in! Thanks for the comment : )

Ahhh the days bodyboarding was on ESPN. Epic memories!
A true pioneer 🤙🏻
True words, he rewrote the book on air moves.

Bat tails... that's a surprising tip... straight from the boss...
Yeah another interesting tip was that Jeff rides a slightly wider board..
@@BodyboardSchool i find it interesting that Jeff's pro model is just so different from pretty much every other pro rider's model. in comparison it seems that everyone else is riding the same board.
@@joaomiguel1988 yes, good observation. But it clearly works so well for him!
@@BodyboardSchool works really well! but i find it odd virtually nobody else uses a board like his.
True damn inspiration
Nobody goes bigger or is better! FACT : )
Great!!! Thanks

I'm sorry, I don't understand what your comment means? You live 7 houses down from Jeff Hubbard? If yes, that's a good neighbourhood to live in!
its like a dirtbike hitting a ramp
He looks so annoyed 😂
