I spent years searching for this music. First time I heard it was back in 2014 or 2015 in a WaW custom map, back then I was just starting playing zombies and didn't understand a thing... Oh the memories...
I’m happy you found the music. The song “Hell’s Gate” is from the World at War soundtrack. I used it in this video and in the remake of this. Also, I don’t have much experience with custom maps, although I’ve heard some are really good.

FINALLY! For years during that one mission where you fight with Reznov to take over Germany & then you need to destroy some anti-tank cannons, this song played during the mission & I always wondered if it was an actual song. So thank you!!!
I like how terrifying this song is and how it matches the climax ultimately. These are no longer innocent forces conscripted of the Red Army. These men watched the millions of deaths the Third Reich costed their country, how much destruction they brought, how inhumane and pure evil the enemy can be, unparalleled to this very day. They no longer need soldiers behind them threatening them, these men became animals and a lot lost a part of themselves if they lived long enough as they’re fueled with vengeance and hatred. They want to kill. And this song captures this perfectly.
I run through the battlefield as bullets fly by my ears, inches away from shredding my face. Artillery shells explode around me, killing my fellow comrades, mortally wounding the others who are fortunate to survive the blasts. As I sprint towards the trench, I fell a sharp pain in my eye, but only for a split second. I awake in a old, torn concrete building at night. I barely make out a full moon through the dense fog outside, but through the fog, I also spot several figures shambling toward my location, closing in on me.
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT when I finished the campaign. I thought that this is it. It's all over now. War is over. And then this bloody cutscene plays, figures come out from the fog like ghosts and this shambling person speeding on me. Then the text written in blood. I didn't understand nothing of this. What is going on? What is happening? What do you mean Nazi Zombies?! Then, I was thrown into this concrete building with nothing but pistol to defend myself. Round I. Demonic laugh who seemed to taunt me. Mock me. Abuse this situation I'm in for his cheap laugh. In the distance I could see unnaturally big moon lighting the whole place with dead insensitive blue light. I can see shamblers closing in on my position. I realise I stuck in this barricaded fortress with nowhere to run. I leave the building and the fog will envelop me and these monsters will get me. I then notice paintings on the walls resembling weapon. I can interact with it and I get my gun that will be better than 1911. Zombies start to rip my barricades off. I start shooting. I grabbed my wall gun and aim for their glowing eyes. For their glowing yellow eyes. No pupils, no emotion. Just pure animalistic rage and hunger for blood. I shot the head clean off from one of them. And it still walked. It bled out eventually but it walked. Walked to get me despite missing his head. Round is over. The next one is coming. I must defend myself. I must survive this. The next wave grew stronger and more furious, they became faster and more tenacious. They grew in numbers. They grew from everywhere. And I'm surrounded with my shots running low. I see two options: Upstairs and through the door. I choose to go up. I see writing "Ascend from darkness". And I saw the field, the moon in all it's glory. Shambling zombies are now runners. I see a horde coming and destroying my barricades from up here. Little did I noticed they sneaked up on me from behind. They nearly got me. They are stepping in. I must proceed further. I go and see the backyard. They were coming from the forest. Right next to me is airplane I crashed in. They are everywhere. I barely made it. There's too much to watch out for. I started to doubt that I can make it. Next round is upon me. The light can not help me with rising darkness. I need to lay low. Downstairs I see a mysterious box with question marks on it. I open it and it spined the wheel of fortune. The mystery box rolled the fate of what gun I get. I saw a whole arsenal I could only dream of. And I got shotgun. Not bad. But what is this anyway? Is this some kind of twisted game? This can't be real. No one of this can be real! I must be dreaming. Yes! This must be a nightmare. After all I've done, all I been through. I must be stressed out. The ghosts of war still haunt me. This is a reminder of horror I've seen. I'm now currently lying in bed, somewhere home. Or somewhere comfortable away from the past events and areas. This soon will all be over. But the fear... The fear was strong. The terror was pretty much real. No matter how much I experience this I cannot wake up. I can't escape this horror. I'm all alone in this dark room below against a horde of monsters. They are coming. I'm trapped. Barricades are ripped apart, walls falling down, stair getting flooded. I'm getting swarmed. No matter how much I tried they got me. All I can see is the whole place from above as I hear flesh and bones getting ripped apart. I hoped it was over. Until I heard this laugh... *NO!!! THIS CAN'T BE! THIS CANNOT BE IT! I FAILED YOUR BLOODY GAME! LET ME GO! I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE!* I then pressed escape and saw something off. The "Resume" button is now "Resume carnage". *Am I in hell?! Am I really in hell?! What did I do wrong?! I was doing what had to be done! I drew the nazis back from where they came from. They plagued the whole Europe with their great evil! I was following noble cause! WHAT DID I DO WRONG?!!!* The game then continued like a loop. Everytime I failed it would restart the suffering. I then looked at the mission list and saw it at the end of the list. *Nacht Der Untoten.* Night of the Dead. Description said: "You drove them deep into the heart of the Reich. You thought they were dead. ***You were wrong."***
Thank you! It’s pretty much from the soundtrack and I added the round change at the end. My new version of this is better because I was able to put it together more seamlessly.
In Nacht Der Untoten, Verrukt, and Shi No Numa, there can only be 24 Zombies per round. Therefore, it would no longer be intense, but just common background music. Would’ve done much better in COD:BO past round 10. And Despite that critique, nice idea.
I feel like World at War and Black Ops (and maybe Black Ops II) should get the Modern Warfare 1 and 2 remaster treatment. With the campaign, multiplayer and zombies, of course.
@@flipyapd2321 My hope is after MW3 Remastered, Activision along with Microsoft will step their game up and bring us the Treyarch game remasters. If the deal goes through, Microsoft will have 30 studios under Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda and Activision Blizzard. At least one studio should be able to work on it. Microsoft has the money and resources to make it happen. All we can do is hope.
pov you just finished off the japanese and are heading home when your truck gets hit by a plane leaving you and your three friends to find a bunker and then you start seeing dead nazis eating your friends and you realize your mission is to survive.
Just playing the co op with my friend last night and god I forgot how good this campaign was. Haven't grown up with cod but this has to be my favorite.
Imagine if playing campaign and you finally beat the SS forces in the Reichstag’s entrance, and before you know if you hear the zombie round change and hear zombies coming out of the parliament and now have to fight nazi zombies
