👍🚗🚗🚗 I once went there for a bonnet for my blue car. He said "I'm sorry, I've no blue bonnets in stock. I've got red or black." I said "I'll take the black one, back in the 70's it used to be trendy to have a black bonnet, made a car more sporty." He said "I like that, I'll knock a fiver off the price"! Bagillt Car Spares is completely "old school" and to be honest, I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Another excellent and informative video, John. The water outlet you mentioned, is known locally as The Holy. (a reference to the holy waters of the well in Holywell.)
Point of Ayr colliery was knocked down to make way for the wind turbine from the sea . Also they reckon the coal at the point of ayr went over to the tip of the Wirral .
I have lived in this county on and off since 1971, and am loving these videos, thank you for an informative trip out.
Glad you like them!

Thanks for sharing - I'd noticed some mention of The Holy, but I decided to research it a bit more and keep it for when I visit Holywell!

Great info there! Thankyou.
I've got plans to look at the Point of Ayr in a future video!
The owner of that site let me in to see the capped mine shaft and take photos in 1990s
That's awesome!
