    These are not "mistakes" made by tourist, but strong suggestions you are giving to tourist what to do.

    Can I suggest that you get the best of both worlds going to Brienz - take the train to Breinz, then the Rothornbahn, return and take a cruise back to Interlaken. You can easily do this in a day, even if you need to travel to Interlaken from within the Jungfrau Region

    I was super lucky to stay in Unterseen for a week in September 2018. The weather was very warm and sunny. With the Swiss pass I went to Lucerne, Bern, Zermatt, Montreux, Vevey, Lausanne not to mention Lauterbrunnen and Kleine Scheidegg, Thun, Spietz, Brienz, trips on both lakes several times, went to Titlis mountain (excuse the spelling mistakes). Fell in love with Switzerland and hope to be back. I have also visited Lugano and Geneva of course. ❤❤❤🤍

    Tks for this amazing video! I’ve some doubts…I never visit Switzerland and also Interlaken on the last days of February and first days of March, can you please confirm to me if it’s mandatory to have winter/snow tires or if the “four all season” tires it’s allowed?
    Cause I will rent my car in France, and the car won’t have this “winter/snow” tires on the rental company, only this “four all season”.
    Also in Interlaken area, not on the Alpes, but at the regular highway…was necessary to use chains for the tires anytime?

    what about if i have global pass it will cover the mountain trains or cable!!!please let me know I am going there in March ....so I should buy ticket asap....but I am so confused.....which one I should buy!!!

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  4 года назад

      Dalia ferdousi it will cover trains however trains to for example jungfraujoch peak and other cable cars will require an additional ticket. With your global pass you can get a discount in some cases. So you can research the mountain tops you want to visit, if they are included or how much extra it costs. I understand with the Global Pass you travel entire Europe. If you only travel Switzerland there are other options.
      Please let me know if this helps or if you have more questions!

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  4 года назад +3

      I think the cheapest holiday homes are on Airbnb itself! Or call the accomodation owner up directly and negotiate 😉 also, public transport in Switzerland is planned in a way that there are always station nearby. It will not happen that you will have to walk 1h or so... but as a point of reference, the more remote your accomodation the less frequent the public transportation. If you go the website of the Swiss Travel System (www.sbb.ch) you can check nearby stations and travel times of your accomodation. You can easily enter street names on the website and it will tell you the nearest station and how frequent etc. let me know if you have more questions!

      Hey Sourav, if you visit only Bernese Oberland its okay, but Interlaken is not best situated for you plan I think. You will either have to pass through Bern (30min) or you through Lucerne (1h) every day to then get to other locations. • @SwitzerlandInsider

      Yes, the scheduled cruises on Swiss lakes are included! You can look them up on sbb.ch (our national rail service website - enter dep and arr city and among the rail and bus services you will find ships as well) or on the website of the respective lakes. For cruises on Lake Brienz or Lake Thun, the website bls.ch will help you find more. There are a few cruises in Lucerne (e.g. sightseeing boat Saphir) or private sightseeing cruises which you need to pay separately. In any case, try to get on a paddle steam boat if they are available on the lake you wish to go :-) Have fun!

      Supreetha Bangera hey! If you have a Swiss Pass you can go to Grindelwald or Wengen. If you like to go more up, i.e. Jungfraujoch you will have to purchase extra tickets. Make sure you mention the Swiss Pass as you will receive a discount on the extra ticket! Jungfrau trains are running on schedule and have limited space. To make sure you get a seat at a specific time, you can make a seat reservation. This is recommended in high season. If you don‘t reserve a seat and it‘s busy, you might have to skip a couple of trains until there is space for you 😌👌 hope this helps ❄️❄️
