The problem is not OM being late, the problem is being silent. Any other normal company would issue constant (every couple-few months) updates/press releases.
OnwardMobility holds a special place in my heart, it somehow revived the whole, 'Downfall of BlackBerry' lesson by choosing to keep silent. It's actually quite amazing how this whole process has been. When someone says, 'I mean, it can't get any worse can it' The answer should always be Yes.. yes it can get worse 😅
Appreciate your Blackberry updates, not many others are taking the time to do so. While not using a BB device now, I used several in the past and will always have a soft spot in my heart for them. Thanks for keeping the faith!
I fail to understand why Onward Mobility cannot communicate out what is happening even if it's limited information .I understand the challenges of bringing a new phone to market currently but to not communicate anything at all is unacceptable.
OnwardMobility and whatever outdated device they might manage to cook up killed itself with silence. I left and I am not going back. They really should consider hiring you.
Wonder what bb number actually are. Rim was so big and then everything changed so rapidly. My first smart phone was bb curve. I loved it and still remember being on AT&T and loving free messaging etc. oh well great to reminisce.
Happy New Year and very much appreciated. Moving on from a Key 2 LE to a Pixel 6 later in 2022. As indicated by yourself Pixel is one of the best alternatives for BlackBerry users to move on to. Was hoping for a 5G 5evice however this is my 4th year with my Key 2 LE, had to uninstall the Hub as it wasn't working properly and slowing down the processing time for everything.
Same here. Been hoping I could get a new BlackBerry to replace my Key2 LE. I really want a quality keyboard, but if a replacement doesn't quickly show, it's a Pixel 6 for me, too. Have had BlackBerry phones for almost 20 years. Sad.
Thank you for always keeping us in the loop. I really tried to hold out for the new BlackBerry, but of course Onward Mobility continued, and continues to remain silent. I had to get a new phone, so I now have the iPhone 13 Pro Max. IF they EVER come out with the new Blackberry, it better be a flagship with all the bells and whistles. I really wanted a new one, and I'm very disappointed it didn't come out last year, as promised....
I have always used a Blackberry and currently using a Key2. Even though the handset does everything I want it to do and more, thinking how old it is. But the battery is dying on me, have to charge it 2 to 3 times day. If OnWardMobility would just speak to us and give us some time frame, I'm sure us loyal blackberry users will wait for a handset. It's the not knowing. I am tempted to by a Samsung S22 ultra, when it comes out this month. But if I like many others knew when a handset would be coming out, so I could hold on for abit.
IT'S ALSO A SHAME that with the following of Blackberry devices that were popular, like for example the BB10 devices, that there isn't a software development company that can't help with a fairly easy to use process for owners, or maybe a service they could provide where you send your phone in, and they would install a new/customised OS to extend device lifespans that have hardware that are 4G/LTE upwards say... I know there are ways that people can install alternate OS's on their Android phones... Shame there isn't a better known alternate support for BB's... 🤔🤔🤔 😎🇬🇧
I'm from the Philippines and my Blackberry Bold 9900 and Blackberry Classic are all good and function as a phone for data, calls, SMS, and wifi. It's not yet end for the Blackberry fans here with 2G and 3G network connectivity.
My question is does OM not want the current BlackBerry user as their buyer? It kinda feels like they are abandoning the existing users. At this point the phone feels like it's still over a year away from market.
You hit the nail on the head. I don’t want a titan or something that resembles a blackberry. I want an actual blackberry. I want that full on support. But saying nothing is just not going to cut it. I knew blackberry was cutting support, so that was my cut off point. I assume it will be the same for many others in that thinking. Onward mobility can’t be blamed. Really with whatever is going on in the world, Blackberry should have aloud for this. The last remaining few will migrate now. Probably buy new devices and not bother with the new blackberry if it finally does come to market. HMD global managed pretty well in the pandemic with devices branded as Nokia. The real problem I think is that phones just simply are not a focus of Blackberry anymore, and given the complexities of the market with the pandemic, I just don’t think it’s likely to happen. As said if major OEMs are having trouble, how can a startup manage. They will have no buying power at all. An example of how hard it is….. Nokia phones for the last 6 months on release have been using the Snapdragon 480 chipset. It’s the lowest 5G chipset. What that means really is that Nokia in order to deliver a good update schedule and to have a good price on chips has firmly lodged itself as budget to midrange phone OEM. They are doing pretty well, but profit margins are very small. Onward mobility will obviously be facing the same issue aside from software. So I just don’t see how they stand a chance with a deprecated market and limited buying power…… and Blackberry who have clearly moved on. Nokia forged tight connections with Google and Qualcomm very early on. Onward mobility clearly isn’t in the position. I honestly think if we do see a phone it will be to little to late.
The apprehension of the onward mobility team to go social can be understood y the fact that their website still says BlackBerry coming in 2021 even today
Man, I've been watching your channel for some time, and I have to say your videos have been extremely helpful as a blackberry user. I just bought one of the last remaining key2s I could find in box. Paid way too much for it, but it's worth it. BlackBerry classic works to this day. Keyone is still like new minus battery life. You just don't get this quality with phones anymore.
hey i too am somehow flying under the radar (on AT&T no less!) with the BB bold... phone & text still working, email sending but not receiving as of this afternoon but I think that's because i was deep into filters on the BIS which, duh, disappeared yesterday. So it is stuck into all eternity correctly defaulting to "do not send message to device". OK by me.
My Blackberry Passport is still working, emails, text, and phone calls are still available. Is anyone else still able to uses their Blackberry? I am on T-Mobile.
Still waiting until now to a New BB phone but I think it is not possible this year. Will get a Unihertz Titan Pocket by end of the year, while holding on my Keyone 4GB 64GB Version.
Necessity forced me to abandon my BB Prive;. Went with your suggestion and picked up the Pixel 6. Thankyou so much for your recommendation. Very happy with the phone. You saved me hours of research and guess work about what to buy. Need your help. Have not been able to transfer my text messages from Prive to the Pixel 6. Verizon (my carrie r and where I purchased my phone) tried a number of transfer programs but no success. Texts were not saved to cloud or backed up. Any ideas? Thank you for all of your help and excellent videos which have been so helpful. Be well and happy new year!
@@georgeklimes7604 if you have the luxury of some free time, you should save all your important stuff from your phone onto your PC, and reset your phone back to factory settings. basically doing a "clean install"
@@joshdheda8776 Yeah, I might do that. Cannot hurt. The sudden issue with the phone occasionally slowing down to the point where you are waiting 10-15 seconds for the name to pop up when sending a text is maddening. There are other slowdown issues as well. And I am getting tired of having to delete apps.
I'm still waiting like so many others, but I'm happy that Onward has given me some hope. I understand that there are a lot of hurdles with chips and such, so we will need to wait a little longer. My BlackBerry Motion is still working well, and I've got a second one as a back up, so I feel like I still have time. I'm located in Canada on the Telus network, and so far as I understand it this will be fine for some time yet. I hope the new phone coming out from Onward will be something like a Priv, as that was one of my favorite designs.
Just a note to thank you for your posts. I've held on to my beloved Blackberry KeyOne hanging on to hope, but in November decided to switch to another phone (which I absolutely hate -- I still love and adore my Blackberry with its keyboard). Thanks to your posts I've been able to keep working without interruption.... but the moment there is another Blackberry I'm switching back.
It seems customer loyalty is being let down by BB. I wish they brought out a new phone in 2021 but I have moved on. BB should be bending over backwards to keep these loyal customers but really it seems they really do not care where lots of other companies do.
I owned the Blackberry 8703e all the way to the Key 2. If they ever some how come back I'll buy another. Now using a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra but will always love Blackberrys
For what it's worth, I bought a Titan Pocket about a month ago (locally here in Spain), yes it's bulky and weighty, and the keyboard layout took some getting used to, as did the small screen - and then just as I was adapting to it, my BB Key2 LTE Atomic Red arrived from Hong Kong! It's a refurbished model but is like new and so far works perfectly fine, and was under US$300 (actual price €254) with free shipping from HK. Sure, I had to pay around US$100 import fees, but that still makes it around US$400 door-to-door, so less the asking price as mentioned in this video. All that said, still much prefer that OM stay afloat and release the beast before summer 2022.
Thanks always for your updates Adam. Still holding out on my working KeyOne here in Canada on Rogers Wireless. The battery is starting to have stability issues and might have to replace the battery at my local shop. Fortunately BlackBerry repaired the bug with the Hub email software in its last update so emails work again (header information on email would disappear when replying/forwarding making it useless). I can hold out for the OM BB, fingers crossed. Enjoy CES!
As a former Blackberry user, I constantly wish I could use a BB where I am. Unfortunately the last Priv I tried would not work on AT&T where I am. I think Onward Mobility will bring a Blackberry soon, but I don’t think it’s going to have a perfect execution. I also have serious concerns about the features we all enjoyed will work on the new device. We will see. I will say I do enjoy the Apple ethos. Maybe one day BlackBerry will rise out of the ashes again!
The Blackberry icon on my two old 9320's extinguished and now I face a return to Outlook. I amassed 20 email addresses and the thought of keeping on top of the many missives received is daunting.
All I am looking for is reassurance that Onward Mobility is still in the game and I get the impression from this video that they are. And, yes, more communication from them would be helpful.
I just love your videos, as I love BlackBerry, just wondering you said January 4, but online said February 2022 will shout down right? (I ask that because we bought an One Plus 8T, and my husband is on the road coming back Friday, and we isnt set it up yet, so u think he will be dishonest tomorrow? ) thanks for all your info, and Happy New Year!
Calls, WiFi SMS, Gmail, still working just fine here. I wonder if this was not blown out of proportion... That said, this is truly the end of an era and it's sad... godspeed, BB 10. You were amazing.
@@cpl8168 Could very well be, or one final attempt by the media to paint BlackBerry OS as dead… Z10, Z30, Classic, Q5, Q10, Passport and Leap all still working like champs
@@HammerheartBloodeagle Actually my comment may have been a tad premature. It appears I cannot verify my Blackberry ID on my BB10 devices. So in turn that means BBM does not work.

Carrie Bradshaw on the show Just Like That uses a Blackberry Key. It’s her main go to phone. Show was made in 2021 so idk why she has it but it’s neat to see it. However. Have to say I no longer use Blackberry. I have let go of my Z30 and placed it in a drawer due to the Email no longer being supported by BB10. Only thing you can use is the clunky browser, the really good music player, calculator and notes app. The phone itself no longer supports email which is a shame because the email worked perfectly for my job so I was able to land corporate emails on it and keep track. I’ve been a full time iPhone user now since 2019. The camera the lack of apps just made it difficult but I had the BB Z30 rocking as my second phone for work. IPhone now handles apps camera media and corporate emails. I use a Yahoo App for the personal emails
Sad news about black berry. I have Z30 it stopped detecting SIM last year in May 2021 and only shows "emergency calls" where as the servers were shut down only this year in January. So I was wondering what could be the problem? I have already wiped my hand set several times in the past and checked the SIM slot but to no avail and the problem remains the same. Can any body tell me if some one having the same issue and was able to resolve it? I just wanna use this handset to make calls. Secondly since, servers have been turned off for balckberry classic is there anyway one could make phone backups and restores ?
Thanks for the update! I am still using a Priv with At&T and so far it works ok. I guess I am going to wait and see what Onward Mobility comes out with but its good to have options if that doesn't pan out. Thanks again!
Thanks for the updates. BB user since 2007, currently (not sure for how long😟)have key 2 w/verizon. Hoping it keeps going. Loath every every current phone, will most likely get flip phone if it doesn’t work properly.
Verizon states they still support Key2. Personally my KeyOne works great on AT&T. What about the Astrode Slide 5G? Are you going to review that phone. Thanks
My bb k2 is about to die.... I held on as long as I could....going to Samsung I guess... any recommendations for blackberry users for the next phone? So sad there is no key3 and bb killed phones.....
Yea, ATT killed my classic February 1. So, I fired up my Key2, but two weeks ago, ATT killed my ability to make or receive calls on my Key2, but I could text and web surf and social media etc. Although, it fully worked at my home with my microcell. Keep in mind, ATT told me last June the Key2 would work on their network post February 2022. The person I spoke to must have been confused as, oddly enough, the Key1 is on ATT post February 2022 approved list, but the Key2 is not. Btw I paid $750 last June for the Key2 based on what ATT told me. Now I have a Samsung 21. Pretty annoyed I waited on Onward Mobility.
That's exactly what I tell my customers before they buy a device from me. I give them alot of info before they buy a phone from me. Your totally right, Tmobile accepts way more phones than ATT.
Brother TechOdyssey thanks for telling us that they just had the year wrong for announcing the new Blackberry 😉 also thanks for keeping the hope alive for us Blackberry lovers! Second choices, Pixel 4a 5g / 6 or the Titan Galaxy pocket. Funny' how everyone wants to relive the 70' and 80' music, tv shows, cassette's, clothes, and endless remake movies, yet they can make a dam' phone with a keyboard. Where are all of the millionaire Geeks who could fill this void? Dosen't anyone have a 3D printer to make Blackberry phones?
Yo! Hope you're having fun in Vegas my friend! Great way to start out the new year. Wish I could make it this year. I'm in Arizona, but personal stuff is really bad right now. Maybe next year I will finally get to say hello in person! I'll bring you some craft ginger ale. Haha
Thank you for the update, even if it was disappointing. I'm on T-Mobile with my Key 2. Hopefully it's fine. AT&T towers don't like my phone anyway. I'm going to give It a couple fue more months, but then I might start looking at the Note as a replacement. My front camera has been broken for a year. It's overdue.
Do you have the Key 2 or Key 2 LE? I have the LE and couldn't get it to work on Verizon yesterday. May walk over to T Mobile. What version is yours? Mine is BB100-5. Thanks
if i needed a new phone right now , i would probably find a note 10 on amazon or ebay, still plenty powerful and still geting full support. would cost a feller about 400 for a good new or refurb unit.
Hi Adam, thanks for all the updates. I'm a recent subscriber, but have followed your updates regarding BlackBerry for the last couple years now I think. I guess the real questions for me are, how recently have you been able to get information from Onward Mobility that a new 5G device is still in the works? And in your own opinion how likely do you think it is that such a device will be available in the next 2-3 months or so? If not in that timeframe, what kind of timeframe would you imagine yourself, following conversations/updates from OM? I, myself have used pretty much most BlackBerry devices since my 1st ever device when the Bold came out. I am currently using my old KeyOne as my Key2 broke accidentally. My plan was to give up on the wait for an OM phone, and get a Pixel 6 device if there's no concrete news about a new BlackBerry by the end of Jan 2022. Just wonder if that's advisable if OM are still a real company and are still working on a BlackBerry phone? Thanks again for all your updates, and hope you'll be able to clear up some of my queries on a future video. Better yet, fingers crossed for a new BlackBerry very soon.
Is anyone else getting surveys on your Key One asking what you like about the device. If there is no new phone in the horizon why am I getting these surveys through the support centre app?? weird!
Ive got a key1 here in the UK. I'm lead to believe it will keep working but I imagine it will stop being supported at some point. I'll plough on till then at which point I'll have to get a new phone... sadly.
I've got a playbook that they just shut down it only works on Wi-Fi how in the world did they ever write to shut down a piece of hardware that's been purchased that works on Wi-Fi
I have always thought the death of blackberry has been about funnelling people into Google so that US Alphabet agencies can spy on you. Your experience seems to confirm this.
The things that Onward Mobility DO WANT TO BE CAREFUL about it... 1 - How old/dated is the hardware going to be/feel, going on the basis of a phone they originally designed/planned 'Some time a go' with the chosen processor/internals they initially went with, compared to when they finally release the new Blackberry phone/s... 2 - Knowing that they are late with release, they DO NOT want to rush the final procedures as they could end up with a device with bugs and issues.... 🤔😎 🇬🇧
Have you reviewed the Moto Stylus 5G any thoughts on it? I just got one due to AT&T Service discontinuing Service for my BlackBerry Key2 at the end of the month "i.e. I am trying to hold on to my BlackBerry as long as I can" which then I will start using the Moto Stylus... I did'nt want an expensive phone so I could pay it off fast so I would'nt be in a Contract in hopes that OnWard Mobility will release the New BlackBerry 5G soon... Thanks for the Updates on the BlackBerry as well...
To be honest, onward mobility picked the worst year to drop a phone, new manufacturer with a giant slew of chips shortages worldwide and shipping issues/delays/shortages. Like people are saying just be upfront. I'll wait
My wait time for OM is up, I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and I will really miss my Q10, it was hard to give up and I stuck with it till the end. OM may not do well in all this.
Hey. What does TCL mean by saying they will not support devices after august 2022? “In 2016, Chinese manufacturer TCL picked up the license for the BlackBerry Mobile brand and released the BlackBerry KeyOne and BlackBerry Key2. ... TCL, however, stopped making BlackBerry phones in 2020 and said it would support devices until August 2022.
I was using bbone for almost 4.5 years. I was waiting for onward mobility new BB, but, it never materialized. So I had to switch to Samsung S20FE. Although I am happy with the new phone, still miss the blackberry.
Thinking of switching from Passport to Key2. But concern about how old the Android OS is on the Key2 even though it received a security patch back in July 2021. The replacement cost of the Key2 is quite high. I bought a new red edition from Best Buy in 2019 when it was around $600. It seems difficult to justify the cost at the time. But perhaps the Key2 needs to be released to fill in the Passport gap?
I am one of those early BlackBerry dinosaur users, I go back as far as the 6510 device and early 2000's. That is a 20 year relationship! I would leave in a minute after how we have been treated, BB does not deserve us - just need somewhere decent to go. My key2 still out does what's out there for my needs but I know that will not last forever as use and abuse of daily driving will eventually catch up with my phone. I also use a PRIV on an almost daily surfer in hopes of sharing abuse on my devices for longevity. Appreciate the option ideas for us ! Safe travels
Video that needed to be done, all things considered. I got a Motorola in the spring of 2021. Works well enough and while I miss having a physical keyboard, it actually gets updated. I really need to sell my Key2 LE though... the fingerprint scanner still works too!
Long story I will write elsewhere, but Verizon would not allow me to port my number internally to my Key2 LE tonight. They flat out said it won’t work. So I need to go buy a new phone in the morning. 😭
I am not clear after listening about TMobile support of a Blackberry Key2 LE. I currently have ATT, and wondering if I should switch to TMobile. Please advise if my understanding is correct - When ATT goes to 5G it will not support Voice over LTE on the Key2? However when TMobile goes to 5G will TMobile support Key2 LE? TY so much
Thank you for this video! I'm switching from a KeyOne CDMA to a KeyOne GSM unlocked on T-mobile (from Sprint). Is there a problem with changing phones and networks at the same time? Thank you for your help.
Yeah, Onward Mobility has had over 16 plus months since announcing they were going to put out a Blackberry 5G phone back in August 2020. That’s plenty of time to get chips and etc to build a phone or at least show what the phone will look like, specs, and etx
What did I do? Well, I waited right to the last minute for Onward Mobility to at least say something. Then over Christmas I searched and research and came back to a brand that I have always went with for my laptops. Sony. Yeah, another problem there because they bowed out of the computer game in or around 2015 when I bought my last VAIO. My new phone is arriving today. The flagship Xperia 1 iii. After using and loving my BB Bold for 9 years I know I will have a frustrating time. Yesterday, my Bold was supposed to stop working altogether, but as of today it is still working exactly like it has for the past few years, not really doing much but allowing me to text and use the hotspot, which I'm connected to right now. It even rang yesterday! So phone calls too. Reminds me of midnight 2000 when everything tech was supposed to go berserk, but didn't. Anyway, that's what I did. Good luck to Blackberry lovers everywhere, finding another love.
I couldn't hold off any longer switched to a used galaxy s10e I bought for 200 . I'm actually pretty happy with it especially the size of the entire phone. The camera isn't quite as good as I hoped but other then that I'm thrilled. I wish OM would just communicate with us let us know what's happening . I'm still looking forward to a new blackberry phone although I dont think I would get it right away if and when it comes out .

My Verizon Blackberry Classic is working. Today is 1/5/2022. I guess Verizon still has 1X for phone calls. I checked the apps and they all still work. Text e-mail no problem. I use the Hot spot to run my computers and the 54 inch TLC Tv in our RV and it works, Netflix steams via hot spot in full HD on the BB. Casting works great also in Full Hd 1080, Face book works what app works no buffering. I have had this phone for 8 years now. A well built phone.

I keep getting snail mail, voice and e-mail from Liberty (formerly AT&T in Puerto Rico) telling me I can get one of three phones to replace the Black Berry Brick I currently use. Of course, all three phones offered suck. They also offer $400 towards any other phone in their inventory. I've been a Blackberry user since 2009 and if I am forced to jump to another brand phone then chances are I will never go back to BB. I do not like being forced to do things I do not want to do but if I do cross over, BB is out of my life on principal alone regardless as to how good their new phone is. Besides, I kind of think that what they will be eventually releasing will be out of date by the time it hits the stores. Basically, another Blackberry Brick (BBB).
Is there still a cooperation contract between blackberry and onward mobility? Have they cancelled the partnership? On the internet cute of onward mobility they still say that the new phone will come 2021. Even if they manage to launch the phone, who is going to buy it?

I bought a battery online for my BB a few months ago, maybe you can get one that way.
I will buy the Key2 battery replacement I just found on EBAY 🙃
I’m having the same battery issues with my Key2LE. And freezing more often too. So sad….Will still buy a new one when it comes.
@@bashful7000 new battery or the *crossing fingers* new BlackBerry 2022?
New BB definitely when it comes. Buying two bridge phones to replace my dual sim BB. No comparison despite the huge investment.
Going to hang on to my Passport SE to the bitter end! Still working today on Mint Mobile for calls and texts.
Does it still work now? It's actually Jan 04 (tears up)
IT'S ALSO A SHAME that with the following of Blackberry devices that were popular, like for example the BB10 devices, that there isn't a software development company that can't help with a fairly easy to use process for owners, or maybe a service they could provide where you send your phone in, and they would install a new/customised OS to extend device lifespans that have hardware that are 4G/LTE upwards say...
I know there are ways that people can install alternate OS's on their Android phones... Shame there isn't a better known alternate support for BB's... 🤔🤔🤔 😎🇬🇧
Lies again? Must be hot
@@NazriB wot u on about? 🤔😒
I'm from the Philippines and my Blackberry Bold 9900 and Blackberry Classic are all good and function as a phone for data, calls, SMS, and wifi. It's not yet end for the Blackberry fans here with 2G and 3G network connectivity.
That's what I'm wondering is this only for the US? Cuz I'm in canada and still ok I was worried lol
My question is does OM not want the current BlackBerry user as their buyer? It kinda feels like they are abandoning the existing users. At this point the phone feels like it's still over a year away from market.
Still using my KeyOne with AT&T.. so far so good..
BlackBerry will come out with a new Classic in mid 2024. Mark my word.
As far as I know, Onward mobility closed its doors. So no new phone is coming : /
I just wanted Blackberry to update the BlackBerry Hub Suite, give it a modern look and try to integrate the hub with android more.
Still using my Key2 LE. It's in perfect condition and works fine, I can certainly hold out another year if I have to
Me, too. I am starting to have more memory full issues and have to delete apps to get space internally. The MicroSD is not the issue.
Amazon or facebook should but BB brand name
They still selling the Key 2 Le, and for how much?
@@georgeklimes7604 if you have the luxury of some free time, you should save all your important stuff from your phone onto your PC, and reset your phone back to factory settings. basically doing a "clean install"
@@joshdheda8776 Yeah, I might do that. Cannot hurt. The sudden issue with the phone occasionally slowing down to the point where you are waiting 10-15 seconds for the name to pop up when sending a text is maddening. There are other slowdown issues as well. And I am getting tired of having to delete apps.
I'm from India
My BlackBerry leap works fine
I'm still waiting like so many others, but I'm happy that Onward has given me some hope. I understand that there are a lot of hurdles with chips and such, so we will need to wait a little longer. My BlackBerry Motion is still working well, and I've got a second one as a back up, so I feel like I still have time. I'm located in Canada on the Telus network, and so far as I understand it this will be fine for some time yet.
I hope the new phone coming out from Onward will be something like a Priv, as that was one of my favorite designs.
Well, it looks like, that the only change so far is a missing BBID icon in a top right corner of the screen. Fingers crossed to stay like that :)
OnwardMobility's mission is to prevent you from buying a new phone by keeping that magic silence and in the end never release anything.
My Bb classic is still working well!
Built like a brick
It seems customer loyalty is being let down by BB. I wish they brought out a new phone in 2021 but I have moved on. BB should be bending over backwards to keep these loyal customers but really it seems they really do not care where lots of other companies do.
I owned the Blackberry 8703e all the way to the Key 2. If they ever some how come back I'll buy another. Now using a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra but will always love Blackberrys
Blackberry should of sticked to their own OS and worked and app compatibility.
BlackBerry is not dead it's just in a coma right now
For what it's worth, I bought a Titan Pocket about a month ago (locally here in Spain), yes it's bulky and weighty, and the keyboard layout took some getting used to, as did the small screen - and then just as I was adapting to it, my BB Key2 LTE Atomic Red arrived from Hong Kong!
Did you order the one off Ali? I was considering lol but had some poor reviews on seller
In Europa (Serbia) BB Passport still working!
All I am looking for is reassurance that Onward Mobility is still in the game and I get the impression from this video that they are. And, yes, more communication from them would be helpful.
Thanks for doing this video. I appreciate it!
Same here. My Passport, Z30 and even Q5 still work exactly the same as before. I too wonder if this is sort of like the Year 2000 computer scare.
@@cpl8168 Yep. That was the BB centric that went down. BB World also dead. Still, sideloading applications is still a possibility and the core of calls, SMS, email sync and WiFi all working for me so I can live without BBM and World.
I feel lucky as a Motorola loyalist that I did not have to go through what BB loyalists are going now and my company is getting stronger day by day.
Thanks for the update! In Canada we have all the new 5G and LTE networks but 2/3G still works too.
Thanks, Adam. . . . . . . Keep your toes crossed!
Thanks for the update! I am still using a Priv with At&T and so far it works ok. I guess I am going to wait and see what Onward Mobility comes out with but its good to have options if that doesn't pan out. Thanks again!
I never gave up on my bb still used my classic mainly for email, its my favourite device for email till date
Thanks for the updates. BB user since 2007, currently (not sure for how long😟)have key 2 w/verizon. Hoping it keeps going. Loath every every current phone, will most likely get flip phone if it doesn’t work properly.
I really don't know why OnwardMobility shed some hope and then quietly decided to go on stealth mode.
Look for "unihertz".
It has at least a blackberry-ish look and keyboard : )
Ugh. Sorry you had to go through all of that.
I don't know about you Brother Adam but virtual keyboard with my big thumbs are a real struggle! Take care, enjoy CES and may God Bless you and your family
I'm still using a KEY One on AT&T, still looks brand new. No word on the phone stopping. I'm think for a replacement, the Galaxy Note 20 ultra, Or the A52, 5g, Sd slot 1tb.
Fantastic comment!
Miss my playbook man
I have always thought the death of blackberry has been about funnelling people into Google so that US Alphabet agencies can spy on you. Your experience seems to confirm this.
My Blackberry Key2 stopped working today. I'm in Dallas Tx and have Metro Pcs
Yeah I remember KeyOne had issues with the screen falling apart and the spacebar not working
I have not but I’ve heard but I’ve heard it’s a decent phone. You’re welcome.

I have the Key2LE and works well with Verizon, haven't heard any thing about the support for the phone.
I'll buy it off you
I am one of those early BlackBerry dinosaur users, I go back as far as the 6510 device and early 2000's.

I got a Motorola in the spring of 2021. Works well enough and while I miss having a physical keyboard, it actually gets updated.
I really need to sell my Key2 LE though... the fingerprint scanner still works too!
I'd buy in Toronto lol
My mom has a BB Key 2 Lite on Verizon and it still works as of right now!
Long story I will write elsewhere, but Verizon would not allow me to port my number internally to my Key2 LE tonight. They flat out said it won’t work. So I need to go buy a new phone in the morning. 😭

@@The-Heart-Will-Testify that garbage still works fine for me and would use it anyday over a some ridiculous sheep slab
I've been using my Key One with Verizon since I got it (way back when). Fingers are crossed it keeps working 🤞

We don't even know if we will be using Apple products 10 years from now. All something to ponder
I was hoping so much for Onward Mobility to be a success. However, their silence killed it, for me anyway.
Even though it's sad, I probably ended up with a better phone than what would've been a new BlackBerry ;-)
Part of me thinks that if the Onward Mobility device was imminent Blackberry would have continued support for a few months. Am I overthinking this?
