Initially yes but I think the flexibility it provides with topo outweighs that. In 2025 there is also a new excavation button. If you do a lot of topography stuff there is a plugin called environment by arch intelligence that is great for more customization.
@ i tried 2024 1. padding just work like a floor, its make no sense to modeling a floor by model in place 2. padding has slope on them 3. i can make a filter padding to show on plan: which is excavate and which is fill in (which in my case in 2024 only show the fill not the cut because revit doesn understand) 4. new cut fill schedule doenst work, it shows 0 cut and 0 fill it wwas very FRUSTRATING - i downgraded to 2023 , i consider it is a big bug- they should have both system instead of pushing evrything to newer thing, if they fix in 2025 why not a patch in 2024?
