I find it rather odd when people choose to kill Flowey in the end. It seems they think this is some kind of "gotcha" moment where he gets punished, except that's the exact opposite of what actually happens. Flowey wants you to kill him, to prove that he is right, that you are just a petty murderer and that mercy is a weakness. Killing Flowey basically means he wins in proving that you are pathetic, so I don't understand how someone can be told "you are a bad person" and think "oh yeah, I totally did the right thing"
It's not that killing Flowey proves you're a petty murderer, because he himself says its the only way to end the game (even though he's wrong). It's the fact that the potential of killing is in you, which satisfies him.
he killed asgore a few minutes ago after asgore's speech about accepting the human and being like a family. then makes your life hell for a few minutes. from the perspective of the new player, all he's ever done is evil. Adrian, you HAVE to play the pacifist ending. 1. You're currently missing huge, extremely crucial narrative details from the pacifist run. Without those, a lot of what happens in Genocide won't make sense. 2. Genocide is a SLOG. It's designed to emulate those classic mind-numbing RPG grinds, so you can't just kill every monster you meet, you have to keep running around every area until the random encounters stop. It's a whole meta-textual thing. Edit: for all the beef down in the comments, I changed my comment and now it should satisfy both sides

@@wix-1-3dgcjt6 I am uncertain if he skipped dialogue. I think he was reading fast. I thought the same you do multiple times, but he also knew what they had said or what was happening. He killed mostly small characters. I dont think he killed any boss/main character, simply because he saw more of their personality and thought they were good people, unlike the random monsters ""attacking him"". Undertale is a work of genius. Toby is constantly giving you both reasons to fight back, as well as reasons to spare them. If you ask me, by design you are meant to kill at least Toriel. Toby tries to trick you in to doing it, to teach you that actions have consequences in this game. Same with undyne, she is trying to murder you, she is scary and headstrong, she cannot be spared. Another trick to try and get you to kill some char and then deal with the consequences. Mettaton is a more subtle attempt. He is invulnerable always you fight him until his last fight. And he is always antagonizing you, so when you can finally harm him some people might feel like they are now supposed to whack him. Even if you kill no one, in the end you are guilty of Asgore's death. All of this is to encourage you to do a pacifist run, to give each individual a reason in their own personal journey to now try and save everyone. You do a disservice to anyone if you tell them or push them to do a pacifist run first. Its perfectly posible and you are helped by the game to do it in a first run. But it has to be YOUR choice for it to feel like YOUR game. Each person has a different route and thats one of the amazing things about Undertale. If you do pacifist on your first run, it feels amazing when its by your own hand and decisions, not because someone told you to. Even if that person was going to do pacifist, you stole that "I did it on my own!" feeling from them by pushing pacifist on them. Someone who kills toriel and then restarts the game to try to save her, you steal that agency from them, and the cool changes in story. Dont tell people how to play Undertale. The killing is fine, that's how you natural discover the game. It was designed that way and it did it's job. I'm pleased to see you spared the bosses. It's the constant skipping that is incredibly painful to watch. If I wanted to have a headache watching someone guess what was just on screen like a crackhead, I'd watch XQC. I am genuinely glad you liked the game though. I hope you'd give it the respect it deserves if you continue it in the future. It's not a race, it's an experience.
Dude now you HAVE to do the true pacifist ending, for that make sure: You NEVER kill anyone you become friends (and maybe date, but no spoilers) with everyonr you can and make sure that before you go to asgore, you go to Alphy´s bathroom (you´ll understand, trust me) glad you decided to play this awesome game!
When fighting flowey at the end and it changes the heart/souls it looked like seven deadly sins and when you get to the act it looks like it changed to seven heavely virtues(sorry for my bad english)
I always find it fascinating how most people start off by just going at it like a normal game, kill monsters. But by the Toriel fight, most people rarely kill again and begin to question their initial killings. So good.
That is the ending for neutral ending if you want to get 2 ending left the genocide one or true ending The genocide one its easy just kill all monster or grinding until all mosnter is killed and true ending is just dont kill singgle monster in undergrown
I'm super glad that you enjoyed the game you did, but man. I'm going to sub because I really want to see you play through the other endings. You got a really unsatisfying version of neutral (but... it was your choice. ;) lol). I recommend to play pacifist and then genocide! Your knowledge of the existence of pacifist, neutral, and genocide, as well as knowing you could spare Toriel clearly affected the way you played. It sucks that you killed "regular" monsters but kept the "main" ones alive. It was clear that you wouldn't be able to go down the emotional rollercoaster you couldve gotten on a neutral route. Really hope you play the other two main routes. There is a lot of story and gameplay you're missing out on! It is far more satisfying than what you got. :D
it's tough for Alphys fans (me). she's the most consistently overhated character. i guess that a lot of people (especially first time players) don't really have the background for her character from True Pacifist, but still. doesn't make her any less overhated
Good video! I recently got all endings (technically not, but I'm no Shayy) of this game and it's amazing! edit: also it's great to see people actually getting to play the game how they would instead of just getting spam comments saying "OH NO YOU KILLED SOMEONE YOU CANT GET PACIFIST ANYMORE NOW YOU HAVE TO DO GENO!!!!!!1!!1!!!!" and then not getting to see the impact of neutral.
Pacifist and Genocide is the Hardest Gameplay. But Genocide build very different with those Bosses that keep you from beating the Game. For Pacifist, is really hard when you only have 20 HP and bad dodging skill 😅
Definitely play it again, I'd recommend doing pacifist first as genocide has some "lasting effects" that don't disappear after a reset. The game has a creepy way of knowing what you've done, kinda cool. so many unique dialogues if you do small things differently.
For a better ending dont kill anyone flowey included don't even prees the fight button and don't you think you could have been friends with undyen maybe you could visit her house to hangout after you fight her
IMO The neutral route is only a fraction of the Undertale experience. If you decide to "finish" the game I would recommend doing the True Pacifist route, and then the Genocide route last.
if you want to pay for temmie's college buy (from the turtle, gerson) and sell her a ton of cloudy glasses, over and over, then you can do it more and get temy armor, which has the highest defense in the game, sorry I'm so late also alphys shows you the answers with her hands in the gameshow
I must inform you that there are not just 3 endings, but 93! Yes, you were right between the pacifist, genocide, and neutral endings, but the neutral ending changes between who you choose to spare and kill!

and make sure that before you go to asgore, you go to Alphy´s bathroom (you´ll understand, trust me)
glad you decided to play this awesome game!
Gotta get all the endings man its so good
You gotta do the other 2 endings
NOOOOO MATE U HAVE TO SPARE FLOWEY AT THE END TO MAKE HIM UR BEST FRIEND
When fighting flowey at the end and it changes the heart/souls it looked like seven deadly sins and when you get to the act it looks like it changed to seven heavely virtues(sorry for my bad english)
this video has been cooking in my fyp for a while
I always find it fascinating how most people start off by just going at it like a normal game, kill monsters. But by the Toriel fight, most people rarely kill again and begin to question their initial killings. So good.
That is the ending for neutral ending if you want to get 2 ending left the genocide one or true ending
The genocide one its easy just kill all monster or grinding until all mosnter is killed and true ending is just dont kill singgle monster in undergrown
1:55:17 If a friend ever asks what Undertale is, show them this.
Also at the end, flowey is permentantly gone unless you true reset or something, idk what that means
I hope you do the other endings
we need more content like this 😭
finna binge this one now 😈
I'm super glad that you enjoyed the game you did, but man.
Wow
u first
You named your character after my nickname and it took me so off guard lmao
finally someone i watch playing undertale so i can see if it is worth.
worth just downloaded the game wish me luck.
bro you where later than me and i literally ignored playing it for 7 years how did you even acomplish that
Can’t wait till next year when he makes part 2 😊
1:43:03 "I like how the game teaches you about new mechanics and slowly lets you get used to them"
sans: no
My favorite youtuber playing one of my favorite games? I just know this is gonna be a good evening😊
Did you get the dio references in the mad dummie fight
the two other endings are far more awarding imo, you should try those out if you could
Love how he never once used the act menu after the ruins
We need to see you play more old gems like this one, happy to see you play more games cant wait for more
Pacifist and Genocide is the Hardest Gameplay. But Genocide build very different with those Bosses that keep you from beating the Game.
For Pacifist, is really hard when you only have 20 HP and bad dodging skill 😅
it's so amazing that everyone makes tge same papyrus voice
I hope it was fun to play undertale for you and i hope we will see more of it🎉🎉🎉
Definitely play it again, I'd recommend doing pacifist first as genocide has some "lasting effects" that don't disappear after a reset. The game has a creepy way of knowing what you've done, kinda cool. so many unique dialogues if you do small things differently.
You might’ve missed some dialogue with sans at the dinner, people have probably already told you though.
You sound different since the last time i saw you, not a bad thing tough
5:00 falls in hole "this is kind of easy". if you watch enough playthroughs you will learn this is the hardest puzzle in the game
Bro your the best youtuber
For a better ending dont kill anyone flowey included don't even prees the fight button and don't you think you could have been friends with undyen maybe you could visit her house to hangout after you fight her
Still waiting for it
IMO The neutral route is only a fraction of the Undertale experience. If you decide to "finish" the game I would recommend doing the True Pacifist route, and then the Genocide route last.
if you want to pay for temmie's college buy (from the turtle, gerson) and sell her a ton of cloudy glasses, over and over, then you can do it more and get temy armor, which has the highest defense in the game, sorry I'm so late
also alphys shows you the answers with her hands in the gameshow
heheh... the old whoopie cushion in the hand trick.
it's ALWAYS funny.
I love how everyone gives flowey and toriel the same two voices
hehe I'm so glad someone gets to play the game blind. it's so rare but so fun to see someone playing the game for the first time.
BRO I ENVY YOU PLAYING UNDERTALE FOR THE FIRST TIME IS A RIDE THROUGH HEAVEN.
I must inform you that there are not just 3 endings, but 93! Yes, you were right between the pacifist, genocide, and neutral endings, but the neutral ending changes between who you choose to spare and kill!
