      @trixxart777 I'd like to imagine that he now know EVERYTHING but is under NDA (by Scott, I mean: you get him in your retirement vid?! There has to be a deal! Like, "I'll be in the video, and I'll even tell ya the full story... But you just gotta sign this NDA for me real fast and be in the FNAF Movies"). It's like Pink Diamond with Pearl. Scott is PD, Matt is Pearl.

    I think it's very clear that Michael Afton's character from the games was divided into multiple characters for the films: his guilt and remorse about his brother's death was given to movie Mike, the part of him who remained obedient to his father and helped him carry on his work was given to movie Michael, and the part of him who wanted to pick up the ruin and devastation his father caused and to take responsibility and atone for his own involvement in that harm was given to movie Vanessa.

      How I see it is like this: The Games, the Books, and the Movies are each their own timelines separately but they share the same universal rules.
      If an item or concept appears in one of these timelines, then it fair game for it to appear in the other timelines. ( Example: Charlie being a robot child in the books and M2 being Edwin Murray's robot child in the games. )

    • @dnidaz2553

      Tbh it just feels like the books are just an excuse to have an ACTUAL story because like for the first few FNAF games there was not much, we didnt have names or any real plot, just events that just happen with no rhyme or reason

    Bro completely forgot the logbook exists as it hard confirms Michael Afton and Mike Schmidt are the same character, and that the FNAF 2 game literally shows us there are more than one spirit inhabiting the animatronics than just Charlie. Also, are we just going to ignore the movies and games being in separate timelines? Not every detail has to be the same for both mediums. The films are a reimagining of the original story, just like the novels (Silver Eyes trilogy specifically).

  • @rifarira9160

    I think why there's two mike here is because the movie go for the role reversal route. Golden Freddy is the leader and protector of the children, while the Pupppet becomes the vangeful spirit-instead of vengeance toward willy her are flipped toward the parents instead.
    Vanessa, as the daugther of Willy, becomes the one who wanted to redeem herself from his father legacy while Michael is the one who wanted to help their father-basically Vanessa is the game michael while michael is taking elizabeth role for the movie. So, since Michael is now detached from Mike, Scott decided to split them apart because movie Michael is basically Elizabeth.
    Even further, i think game Michael is splitted into three characters for the movie-Mike, Vanessa, and Michael. In the past, before we came to a conclusion that Mike is Michael, we thought Mike is just an unfortunate security officer-i think this is what movie Mike based on but much more fleshed out to be a major player to the story. Vanessa is what we think game Michael is, the one who wanted to clean up WIlliam mess. And M Michael is only the bearer of the name but is actually just Elizabeth gender bend, grown up, and alive.
    Also, Vanessa being possessed might be a reference to game Michael getting possessed by Ennard, and to game Vanessa being possessed by glitch trap to make the Vanny persona AND might also be a reference to novel Baby.

    • @rifarira9160
      @rifarira9160 4 days ago +38

      Another thing, could it be that Scott goes with Vanessa because the actor's name is Elizabeth? Maybe for multiple layers of reason like to avoid weirdness and also a cheeky easter egg or lore hidden in a meta way.

      How would the Logbook make ANY Sense?? It clearly shows that we play as the same person in Fnaf 1-6... (4 is debateable, but that doesn't overly matter rn)..
      This whole theory is just "What if we take the Main Character out of the series?? :D".. it just makes the fnaf story Boring, when it doesn't need to be.

      Or Mike realized HE was disposable. If Mike was helping his father he would have known he was a serial killer. But maybe Mike thought he was special, just like Vanessa was surprised when William stabbed her. Then Mike realized he was sent down to Sister location to die, and that's what made him vengeful.

The FNAF 1 phone call is in FNAF 4 so Michael was in FNAF 1, he saw Phantoms of Whithered Animatronics in FNAF 3 so the same person in that game was in FNAF 2 and Scott stated "4 games, 1 story".

      It's a portmanteau of Lowkey and Genuinely. Meaning to feel something genuinely but express or acknowledge it in a subtle, understated, or non-overhyped way, essentially "truly but quietly". It's used online to convey authentic feelings without making a big fuss. It just means "Truly, but keeping it lowkey".

  • @jeremymorris345

    I think you are looking at the whole Sister Location timeline placement backwards. Mike isn't smelly because he is a purple corpse, he is smelly because he is tampering with the animatronics for his father, William. The animatronics that we are explicitly told are smelly. Michael going to Sister Location is just another location where his father asked him to go to. Another thing, Remnant is shown to have healing abilities. There is a good chance that Michael is no longer a purple corpse by his next appearance.
    (Also, Mike Schmidt, if he is seperate, has no reason to tamper with the animatronics nor to come back.)
    Additionally, Mike and Michael absolutely have to be the same character. We know Michael is the player from Sister Location. The Security Logbook, which is owned by Mike, has Sister Location reference drawn in by Mike. It also has FNAF 4 references drawn in by Mike. FNAF 4 has the FNAF 1 Phone Call audio in the background and the same animatronic movements/layout as FNAF 1 (which Scott explicitly said wasn't an Easter Egg). The Security Logbook has the FNAF 3 office as the main set dressing. FNAF 3 has Phantoms which are explicitly the FNAF 1 and 2 animatronics, implying the guard has experienced them. There is no world where they are two seperate characters in the games.

    8:08 The Funtimes don't have souls, they have condensed agony, which is basically the same thing except it means each animatronic doens't have an individual soul corresponding to it

    • @jurrienvallo6826
      @jurrienvallo6826 Day ago

      I would actually like to agree with this theory because of the unnaturally erratic behavior of the funtimes(with the exception of Baby)
      The remnant metal from the endos didn't just store the souls, it trapped their agony as well.
      The act of melting the endos and creating the liquid remnant subjected the material to enough heat which freed the souls but what remained within the remnant was their agony, now in a more condensed form. Which is why higher temperatures are required to completely neutralize the remnant, or at best, destroy the "battery" that stores the agony and dispersing it.
      If the MCI were in the funtimes, they would not have appeared before william and had him springlocked.
      If Molten Freddy had the MCI souls, he would've attacked Scraptrap and Baby if they ever saw each other but as far as we know, he's aware of their presence because they have to be coming into contact with one another whilst traversing the vents. It would not make sense for the dead spirits to ally themselves with their killer and the one person they ousted.
      So this theory makes Molten Freddy an agony-powered construct.
      Now, there is also the Soul-Fragmentation theory where William merely took parts of the endos but the ghosts themselves were still tied to the building. William merely took pieces of their supernatural essence then melted them into a condensed form to make the "life-giving" power more potent, but this resulted in the creation of erratic and violent monsters.

    No offense but I hate this theory and will not support it. Not only do you need to take a LOT of the movie at face value, but you also have to accept parts of the Mike = Michael theory, but without the thread of connection Mike being Michael adds (ex: Fritz being Mike makes no sense as Fritz and Mike being "stinky" doesn't have any connection if Michael, the rotting body, isn't WHY they stink.)

    Wait so if Mike Schmidt is a separate person, which Mike was it that wrote in the survival logbook? The answer seems to obviously be Afton but why would he have a survival logbook in the first place if he was never actually a night guard? And also another thing, why would Cassidy/David be saying to Schmidt “It’s Me”? That was something that fit really well with Afton being the night guard.

    Let's just not overcomplicate it
    Mike is Michael. In the movies they make it clear that michael doesnt want to be called mike. But in the game universe he does use the name Mike in both Sl and the Logbook :p
    I just think scott wanted a villain in the fnaf 2 movie and he already made Mike schmidt a different character.

      There's a basis recently for Scott splitting his characters in two. In Tales From The Pizzaplex, we learn about (that version of) The Mimic and the Mimic1 program. The Mimic in that story gains an affinity for the White Tiger doll, even representing itself as it during Tiger Rock. In Secret Of The Mimic, however, we find out there's actually TWO Mimic programs, with Mimic2 (M2) being the one to undergo the game version of that story, while Mimic1 (M1) had its own thing going on, with becoming Fiona and all that

    The security logbook proves Mike is Michael because it takes place in FNAF 1, and it also proves that SL takes place before FNAF 1 since he references the exotic butters in that logbook. The second movie actually proves that SL takes place much earlier in the timeline, since Vanessa was a little child when Circus Baby was already fully built (around the year 1982 - seeing how Vanessa was the same age in the 1982 flashback as she was during the Circus Baby scene). If the “original” animatronics were melted down to make Ennard, that would actually explain the change between their endo-02 models from FNAF 2 into the endo-01 models in FNAF 1.
    At least you tried though.

    Hey, Tom, have you ever thought that Michael Afton was just a sweaty teenager in 1987 and 1993 as Fritz Smith and Mike Schmidt? The Logbook actually hints at Michael tampering with the Animatronics and working with William. Then we work as Michael in Sister Location, then 3 and finally Pizza Simulator.

      Maybe Elisabeth and Vanessa were both William’s daughters with Elisabeth dying and Vanessa (maybe being gaslit by William into blaming herself about her sister’s death) plays along as William’s little helper till she decides to stay up to him by the end of FNAF 1. It would explain why Baby already has green eyes and Vanessa is more scare of her(she knows what she did)

    This is a great video and I love what you guys do but something that just doesn’t sit right with me is the importance of Mike (Schmidt) being overlooked. I truly believe his connection with William through Garret could be something worth looking more into.
    The plot has been so dishevelled lately that the first conclusion I was able to come up with was that Garrett was kidnapped, and rather than being killed, I can’t help but wonder if William had kept him for a while, making Garrett a potential candidate for the crying child. (Not sure how David would play into this then, but part of me wonders if David had died pre-bite, and that the bite that Michael was involved with had actually been garrett) it would explain motive for William to actually kidnap, as that isn’t quite his style yet. We never see him kidnapping other kids as far as I am aware. It doesn’t explain why Garret would have been able to go out into public to see his friends / Freddy’s. However there is an undertone of Williams own children becoming influenced by him, as Vanessa alludes to becoming nearly possessed in his presence. Michael also seems to be under this influence with how he willingly allows the RUclipsrs to expire. I wonder if they all could have been manipulated to become one big family, which would later become one of the things to haunt William. It may explain why Garret is constantly locked in his room. He could be influenced as well. William does have five family members if you include himself, maybe candy cadet was also referencing him trying to tie his family back together after a great loss, which ends up forming into an obsession, leading him to do what he does. I believe Mike’s point of view will give us great insight, and though he may be on his way out in the series, the idea of Garrett connecting Mike to Michael would help advance the plot in a way. Michael may have seen the missing pieces that Mike was searching for.
    I could be totally reaching, as my memory of fnaf can be spotty when it comes to timelines and the most recent discoveries. I love your work! Thank you for providing so much for us!

Also in FNAF HW tape girl said that Fazbear entertainment makes up excuses when they’re about to fire someone. P.s you guys should check out The Unwithered Truth’s videos in FNAF 1 and 5, they’re pretty good.

    • @The12thCrashmaster
      @The12thCrashmaster 3 days ago +1

      The Help Wanted explanation is fine, but i think it's more likely that Tampering with animatronics that head dead kids in them would make you smell bad. This is very likely the main intention since it's paired with the Odor twice for Mike and Fritz (both Michael), and its evidence from the original games.
