Looks quite similar to one of my cats. Interestingly, he doesn't seem to give a crap about water running on him, and water runs off of his fur like a duck.
I owned one like this, has to get her a new home when I moved. They let her go outside and lived next to an overgrown pond that next to a swamp area. One day they hear this splashing and out of the bushes come Persephone with a catfish in her mouth about half her size. She was sopping wet couldn't care less. This did explain why she stopped eating her cat foot.
All (as far as I know) species of cat are born knowing how to swim. It's instinctive. It's actually incredible if you think about it; not a second of practice and they know how to paddle and stay afloat.

This is normal for most kittens, ignorance is bliss, dur.... Cat normally grow out of this but a few do not and still like water, rarely.
