In 1972 my firt bike was a 650 lightning. I remember as being a 1969 model, but not sure. I do recall it had the "push off pull on" petcocks and it had the smooth rocker cover. Do you know what year it could have been?

Nice! Did they have the tank rubber in 67? Also the side cover badges, are you sure it's not a 65 or 66?
All is correct for an early 67 lightning. All models (even the OIF versions) featured a tank rubber. Thanks for your interest!
