Aloha Wah!!! A fellow follower born & raised from Oahu, HI. I must say a job well done with these dishes. Also note, these dishes aren’t really categorized as Hawaiian dishes but more so Local Hawaii dishes. Keep up the great content, been loving your cooking series + camping series of course.
Aloha from the east side of O’ahu! I always love watching your content. Thanks for sharing your version of local Hawaii food! Wish I could’ve run into you guys while I’m home on a work contract! you and Weyli are my favs to watch on RUclips. 😊
when i read “Hawaiian Recipes” i was excited to see you making puaʻa kalua, laulau, squid lūʻau, lomi salmon, and pounding kalo into poi. you made Japanese-inspired musubi created in the 1980s, loco moco created in Hilo, Hawai’i in the late 1940s, and a dish from a shrimp truck started in the early 1990s using a then-state promoted aquaculture shrimp farm in the North Shore- all local foods from the islands. next time you’re in the islands, venture outside of touristy Waikīkī to eat authentic Hawaiian food at Helena’s, Haili’s, or Highway Inn❤
I love your videos so much! I can't get enough. Waiting for a new video is torture 😫 😢 Your content and peaceful attitude is so calming and soothing. Love you guys 💛
Aloha greetings from Oahu Wah!!! 🤙🏽 so glad you enjoyed what Hawaii has to offer. Just wanted to note that these dishes aren’t necessarily Hawaiian.. They’re more so categorized as “Local Hawaii” dishes. But absolutely have been loving the cooking content!!! ☺️
@@LaChina392Be nice. She is correct. These are NOT Hawaiian dishes. You can find out for yourself online what traditional Hawaiian foods are. For example: Poi, Lau Lau, Squid or Beef Luau stew.
Love the recreations of all the local dishes. I won’t gate keep, but since I love you and weylie so much I’ll share. May not be much of a secret since there’s so much videos on tiktok but if you finishing the garlic shrimp with oyster sauce, it’ll taste exactly like Giovanni’s!😉 Glad you guys enjoyed your stay!🤙🏽
Awesome video! Love it. I like to cut the shrimp open with scissors. Faster and cleaner. Noticed your HI meals didn’t have vegetables 😂 going to try your recipes! Thanks
Great video! I really enjoyed it. Some constructive criticism, it’s hard to see yellow text on your light colored countertops. Maybe outline the text in black or have a contrasting color for easier reading. ❤
The dishes look so yummy! 😋 But seriously tho, if someone offered you a chance to open a restaurant, would you do it? Or are you content with creating food videos?

Hi Wah, any chance you would make a vegetable video in the future?
Yes I totally needed this! How much shrimp did you use for the and how much of the dry ingredients in the mix? Is it cheaper at 99ranch/Hmart? 👀
The dishes look so yummy! 😋 But seriously tho, if someone offered you a chance to open a restaurant, would you do it? Or are you content with creating food videos?
I can’t cook so I’m going to subscribe and learn from you.

Add bay seasoning next time in the shrimp corn starch. Fire

Good job Wah! Both you and Weylie make some bomb food 💣.
