You look especially beautiful today. You've convinced me to pick up Darling Girls which I've been on the fence about and I'm absolutely going to get that Megan Fox book. My ex would have left me dying with the nurse too.
@@ReadingWryly I live near Rockwall. It was awful. I decided to drive to a park to record a video and 1/2 way through, my phone stopped because it got over-heated.
I added Darling Girls and The Widow on Dwyer Court. Both sound amazing. My favorite books from July were Incidents Around The House, We Used To Live Here, and Night Watching. 💋
I also enjoyed the Red Dragon movie. Also, if you’ve never watched the tv show Hannibal, I implore you to do so. It’s SO SO good. The first season is actually a prequel to the books.
Oh! Good to know. That makes sense that they would make a prequel. I thought it was odd that the book started after all of the Hannibal stuff went down. I guess Harris wasn’t anticipating Lecter to be as popular as he became?
Mads Mikkelsen’s Hannibal is very different than Hopkins but really good as well. I also forgot to shout out Manhunter which is the OG movie remake of Red Dragon. William Petersen (from the original CSI) is Will and Brian Cox (the dad from succession) is Hannibal. Not artistic like the other versions (Hannibal is actually a fairly small part) but a fun 80s time. Anyway…enough of that. Hope you have a wonderful reading month in August!
I’m looking forward to reading The Stepford Wives. It’s one of those books that I can’t believe I haven’t already read. I actually had to ask my library to order a copy because for some reason none of the libraries in the city had a copy, if you can believe it! Another great wrap-up. Thanks as always for sharing your thoughts. 💋
That will you let me into your heart comment made me have to sleep with the lights on last night haha🙈😂Love your videos but dont think i will be reading that one😬
💋 OH MY GOD. Your delivery of the "will you let me into your heart?" line. When I tell you the chills I felt and how my every hair stood on end! I maintain that this is one of the freakiest books EVER. And okay, this is going to sound like the dumbest question ever, but when you showed your notes, I was like WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?? Is there an app or a special thing you are using? Please tell all! And you've sold me on the Megan Fox book, especially now that I see the illustrations. Does it list the artist? Is it Audrey Kawasaki? (Pretty sure I recognize her style, I've got her work hanging on my walls!) Best book in July: Fruiting Bodies by Kathleen Harlan. Worst book (I'm very sorry to say) was The Madness by Dawn Kurtagich.
😂 The creepy delivery is my forte. Omg, the artist IS Audrey Kawasaki. Your art knowledge is so impressive! So, for my book notes I use the goodnotes app on my iPad and I ordered the template from Etsy called Reading Journal from the shop Brighter Plans. I’ve since modified the template a little to customize to my reading, but I love it.

The book by Lisa Kusel sounds so intriguing 💋💋
You look so beautiful in this video! Hair on point! Love the vid as usual xxx 👄 👄 👄 xxx
Ugh! I am so over this heat here in Texas.
It was 101 yesterday and I was happy for the relief. 😅

your hair is majestic !!
😂🥰 Thank you!
Incidents around the house… amazing….5 stars for me.

Yay! ❤️🙌🏻I need to talk about We Used to Live Here. I’ll DM you. I don’t know how to feel.
I feel ya about the Texas heat 🥵Incidents Around the House was 5⭐️ for me, so creepy. I just started reading Darling Girls today!
Nice! Happy reading!
👄I never thought I would pick up a book by Megan Fox but her book sounds interesting. Enjoyed your reviews and thoughts of all the books mentioned.
Thank you! I never thought I would read a book by Megan Fox either. This life is funny that way.

Wow!!! I can’t believe the library didn’t have a copy. You’re doing your part for the people! 🙌🏻😂
One of us knows sounds like it would have been so good
Red Dragon is an amazing movie as well … I loved that book too :)
I’m so ready to watch the movie now!
@@ReadingWryly it’s pretty dark but quite the psychological ride.
The Shining is one of the few movies I like better than the book. lol. I read Megan's book this month. I'm legitimately concerned for her safety.
Oh how funny! Wait. Megan’s book? Is that the title?
@@ReadingWryly no, Megan Fox's poetry collection. Sorry, I can see how that was confusing. lol
@@ladylovesteadreads oh!!! lol. It was the first name basis that got me. Seriously though. I feel that.
That will you let me into your heart comment made me have to sleep with the lights on last night haha🙈😂Love your videos but dont think i will be reading that one😬
😂😂😂That’s fair.
I don't see how you can have your hair down in this texas heat!
Most of the time I’m in the AC. I’m so pale this summer, I just don’t go outside. 😂
A recent book I loved was “What Happened to Nina?” by Dervlin McTiernan. So good! Check it out.
