- In this video, we will learn how to convert a Simple Sentence into a Complex Sentence.
What is a Simple Sentence made of?
It is made of one independent clause only and it can convey one thought or more than one thought.
What is a Complex Sentence made of?
It is made of one independent clause and one or more dependent clauses.
The independent and dependent clauses are joined with a subordinating conjunction.
This is the list of subordinating conjunction. And to remember this list, remember this phrase:
On a white Bus.
Exercise:
He hoped to win the prize.
Due to ill health, he has resigned.
This is my office.
Answers:
He hoped that he will win the prize.
As he is ill, he has resigned.
This is the office where I live.

"Being quite contended,he never complained " is the example you have given to change simple into complex.
May,I change it as, " He never complained because he was quite contended".
