New York is the mecca of Hip Hop I started rapping in 1979 or was it 78 before the commercial success of East Coast Hip Hop I had a neighbor who had moved here from New York who had a lot of cassettes and that's where I heard hip hop so before the sugarhill gang even we came famous I was already rapping in Los Angeles California. And I owe all my skills to the East Coast
I think Bloods, Crips, crack, and the LAPD played a big part in the rise of Hip Hop in the city too. I know Gangsta Rap/G-Funk gets all the attention but you can't forget all the alternative acts throughout the 90's-00's in LA like The Pharcyde, Freestyle Fellowship, Tha Alkaholiks, The Black Eyed Peas, Jurassic 5, People Under the Stairs, and Dilated Peoples.
The dude obviously doesn't know shit about hip hop or else he'd know just how fucking important the pharcyde and the fellowship were to rap history BUT WHATEVER
I hate when ppl call this guy a culture vulture he really be putting in effort and knows his history way more that almost 80 percent of black people. People need to stop hating on him fr
An appreciation and devotion to understanding the culture has nothing to do with his race or anyone else’s... respecting a culture is not appropriating it... I have mad respect for time he takes to research and spread this info
And it’s funny how y’all think u know more than us when we r the primary sources literally in the shit 🤦🏿♂️ 😂 I have direct sources for uncles / dad and friends. I’m literally wat this whole video talks about
@@ZELLIS Who even said they know more about it than the people who were alive and there during those times? Dumbass. No wonder you can't pull more than 1k views in.
I forgot Detroit but what the fuck does Miami have to do with hip hop HISTORY? Clown. And I thought about Cleveland but Bone just isn't enough I don't think. Maybe a Midwest episode with Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland would be best.
More content like this please!!? This was a very polished, informative, interesting and enjoyable! Great entertainment Trap Lore Ross! Even better than your last album you put out! Thank you bruddah, keep it up!
Damn this is real quality stuff. Really awesome to see you do this type of videos, always amazing to see a well done look at some history. Props to you! :)
Just had to comment twice, I love this man. I'm a Los Angeles native myself and this video was spot on :) your attention to detail is appreciated deeply
Love your videos dude, always well researched and entertaining. It’s hard to find channels that love every part of hip hop as much as I do and cover stories like you do so keep it up my guy 👍🏼👍🏼
Quality stuff TLR, I think you’ve reach a plateau with where you at right now so I see this as a great quality vid to really help put you up over the plateau. There is a huge market for this type of content. Also, do a 6ix9ine video and release it when he gets released!
After watching a lot of Trap’s videos, i’m starting to think “Skrrrrt” is his favourite adlib, lool! Keep doing your thing sir, I appriciate how funny as well as informative your vids are! #KeepItUp
Great video bro, glad you gave The Game his props. He’s got a lot of haters for whatever reason. I almost shed a tear at the end! You’re always welcome in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX if you do a Post Malone come up bro 💯
Yooo loved this. Vid Was hella accurate. Never knew about the original riots in the 60s. So much history here. Kid from ATL that has loved smoking to G Funk for years. Also, you made a Freudian slip at 10 minutes 51 seconds and called it G punk 😂
To this day, Doggystyle is the most sublime, enjoyable, perfect rap album, from start to finish, that I have ever heard. Snoop is not my favorite rapper, but Doggystyle is my favorite rap album. I keep that cd in my car. Just perfection. 👌
Bro made a whole video just to flex on us that he’s in LA 😂
_ UTENTE333 😂😂😂🤣
Did you see his supreme shirt ?
😂😂😂😂
you ended with 2019 but forgot to put up shorelinemafia , 03 greedo , g perico , drakeo etc.
