Lovely steer. Sure seems friendly enough. Make sure he gets plenty of time with your daughter while he's still young. Don't want him just getting used to the adults only. Sooner or later she'll be helping out with feeding and caring for him and he'll need to know he can trust her too. He is a beautiful big boy, thats for sure. And he has a great personality. Loved watching him play with his goat family, his humans, and his new ball.
You will be very greatful you spent the extra time on this waterline Just like there is no such thing as too many wall plugs in your house, there is no such thing as too many stand pipes on the farm. ( Mary Carl I love love love the Zerc shirt.) Remember this when you put in the water line for your flower farm. Moody was missing his family . It takes about 3 to 5 days for the adjustment. Cattle are herd animals and he is missing his herd. The goats will probably become his new herd. The hay cradle is a way better idea. Excellent choice for goats and a steer together. He is a dairy breed (Holstien) and will always look a bit lanky. Fun Video.

We had 1 end of metal pole the barb wire rolled off of and Dad had the other end. So heavy, the pole bent from weight of new rolls. By time we finished the fence. Each of us brothers could carry a full post per shoulder and walk it all the way to the holes dug for each post. In Highschool i was only 99lbs and that was after we finished the fence. 75% of the fenced in area was woods and all terrains. Pasture, then pine trees, then hardwoods , then huge rocks to boulders then a swamp always wet area. Yes our fence went straight thru it all and back to creek then other side was all good land for fence back up to pasture. I did not take PE in high school as I worked enough already. At 99lbs - 9th grade (freshman), I could beat almost entire football team in weight bench press. But I looked weak as ever. THE REAL STORY WERE the heifers…. We lived in town. Farm was 2 miles in the country. We camped out year round in woods. From Friday till Sunday morning we would be home to go to church.. The cows followed my brother and I when we camped out there and stayed with us “”unless”” they heard Dad’s truck coming down road. It had a unique sound, they would hear it all the way back at the creek and run to the barn to be fed. Well, we had a ww2 army tent round with tall center pole. We rolled up the 3ft sides to let air flow until dark then rolled sides back down. It was huge for just us 2. One night we fell asleep. We had rifles for coyote, snake… hunting if season since age 10. And (EARNED) permission to have them without Dad at age 10. We respected what damage they could do and knew all safety handling procedures. OK, OK, the cows…. We fell asleep gun on each side by each of us.. big flashlight at our heads and fell asleep….. 2am, so dark you could not see your hand at your face…. I woke up to deep heavy breathing and a grunt/almost growl sound. Yeah, we had black bears but not often…. I elbowed brother and whispered…… be still, you hear that ?……. He whispered back… yeah, and I think it is in the tent with us…. We listened 1 minute more. I said to deep of breath and snore to be a coyote…. He said yep… I think we have a black bear. I was closest to what ever it was! I told brother, you grab the 243 deer rifle and aim across me laying still. I’ll turn on big light on third foot tap. 1……2……………………..3! We saw HUGE REFLECTING EYES 4FEET FROM MY FACE! BIG AND BLACK!!!! Now…. We both at first thought we were going to be killed by that black bear. The BEST RIFLE TRAINING KICKED IN……and he held back from shooting!! I scanned the HUGE BLACK HAIR TO SEE THE SIZE OF THE BEAR,!!! Then I saw……….THE END!!! (And a cow’s tail whip over her leg……. We both busted out laughing in relief!!! Two oldest heifers had came in the tent and laid on the other half of the unused area inside tent!! We both had to run out and PEE! Then came back in to sleeping bags to sleep…. I woke up with one cow’s head on very edge of pillow touching my head. Lol. But I can say…. If we were back at creek and all cows with us. Any of us could say….”go to the barn and we will feed you in a while”. They would all walk slowly to barn with calves if they had any. Also when camping and all 6 had calves, they stayed in campsite. Only one heifer came in tent…. But ALL CALVES CAME IN and slept with us. The calves layer on our sleeping bags up against our bodies as a dog would do. Yes we had German Shepard female dog. She was there in middle of calves being a mother to them at night. We had to be careful as they grew up fast in size, they still tried to all snuggle with us and we would get rolled on by accident….(BUT THEY quickly moved off and checked us)…Lol. We bred each heifer each year when old enough. We raised the bulls to just over 2 yrs old and sold 5 to beef market and butchered one for family meat for a year. We had to raise side of tent so they would not try and all crowd in. But instead lay partially in tent. We took grand kids as 1yr old and the cows were very gentle riding them on their back at a crawl pace… until the grandkids turned 3yr, then they walked normal speed. Lol The baby could walk between all of them while they waited for food or even eating…. The cows always watched out and were careful NOT TO STEP ON OR BUMP the grand baby down. Sooo amazing the care they took and gave to the little ones. As teen, If tired, I would ask one cow by name to let me ride to barn…. She would let me jump up on her back and carry me. I switched between them to give all the opportunity as they loved to be touched/petted and be ridden by us. You-DAD…. spend time every day inside pen with steer. Get a horse brush. Brush him down completely! He will love it. Hot summer, run hose over him and give him a bath then a good brushing after. We did that with young bulls as we took them to local fair for competition! Once steer is used to it…. Let daughter do it…. I never had a rope to lead them. I trained them to walk beside me. Then hand gestures/movements, the bull would turn certain directions while walking. He learned my voice sounds to turn left or right or stop and stand still.. Like a horse he raised his foot to be inspected or worked on by us or veterinarian. We always helped with each birth. Lost only 2 in many yrs. Breached with umbilical cord around neck/choked.. we ended up having to wench out the baby. We all had our full arms inside at difficult births to help turn baby just right or help pull a leg out at first if stuck. (Kids grow up fast but by natures birth. Biggest blessing ever.
Sorry….lol. 35yrs ago… vivid memories. I’ve raised all wild animals native to Georgia. Tamed many wild including black bear. I am very attentive to animal behavior. Your steer…. He is soooooo loving. He is like a dog wanting to be rubbed and touched. You could train him to lay down in trailer (with sides) to go riding, same as taking dog places…. No joke. But takes focus and training safely in driving around in yard many times first. Then he will expect to ride every time truck is cranked up. Lol My dog (toy poodle) lived 21 yrs.. he traveled car, motorcycle, airplane,… everything. Hotels, motels, ASIA, all of USA. He died last yr Christmas. I have his ashes and picture by my recliner. That much time…. He became a son. Now, I want a miniature goat. Though outside and plenty room…. I’ll train him as well as dog was trained. Weekly baths, train him for inside house as well. Watch tv … lol.(keep him in living room only for short visits)
Sounds like you had a wonderful wholesome upbringing, children these days would be lucky to experience such a fun life. Learning responsibility, love for animals and surroundings sets you up to be a well balanced adult!
I wish my life growing up with values and morals, quality extended family gatherings often. As a child you pulled your weight in workin wher you physically could in happiness contributing to the family needs. Proud responsibility. To small for labor at 11 I drove farm equipment and truck all over county, town gathering hay while adults loaded it and rode carefully on hay. Sheriff smiled and waved as he knew my role and my pride doing it. Lol Maybe I should start a channel recollecting the old times in what AMERICA lost along the way. Would there be any viewers?
Just a little tip. A lot of first time ranchers forget to take the twine off the bails when they put them out. Make sure you get that twine off because that can cause a lot of issues if they eat any of that. Add a few chickens and they'll help keep the flies down. They will eat the larvae out of the manure.
@@judylloyd7901 Need to be in the same paddock for them to eat the fly larvae from the ruminants' manure. It is a bit difficult for them with a fence separating them. The geese poop they have access to is not really an issue. Birds have a very caustic stomach environment, so as not to hurt the shells of their eggs (remember: cloaca). Fly larva don't like bird poop for that reason. The poop of the ruminants on the other hand is full of yummy goodness for a growing larva. Especially cow pads.
@@lovfroCity gal so impressed. You just blew through a mix of chemistry, physics, anatomy, biology and God knows what else in one sentence and it certainly was not on my SAT. Is this a thing all farmers just know? Is such knowledge passed down through the generations? Do you have to go to school for this type of information?
I purchased the ball for the horses a long time ago for a dog I used to have. Her name was Trixie and she tore up every ball that she had. When we purchased the horse ball, it lasted until she passed many years later. I agree that the larger ball is better. I just love hearing how ya'll discuss things as a family. I have no doubt that Moody will be extremely happy. God bless you all for your care.
I love how you all care for the animals. Moody will never be a meat steer. Your kindness has saved his life. The ball was a great idea. We visited the Navarre Zoo in Florida. I felt some of those animals needed a ball too. It simulates their mind and gets them to exercise.
My Dad had a holstein like Moody, his name was Alfy. He would follow my Dad like a puppy dog, would rub his head on Dad's back. It was super cute. Moody playing with that ball was so cute!!
You did right with the water line and access to each pasture area. setting it up where they share a water between pastures is "always" a bad idea. Reason is if one animal gets sick then you have it contained to one pasture. If they share water... all that share get exposed. I'm old and have gone through this. You did good.
Did I miss something? I saw you putting purple primer on the pipe and then pushed it together. Where is the glue? I am assuming that you had put the glue on the inside of the pipe
@@simonesmit6708 The purple stuff is the primer to clean and prepare the surface for the glue, and is sometimes required by code. There is blue glue but it looks blue, not purple. The glue used is a different color than the PVC so how complete coverage is and so inspectors can see that the glue has been applied.
You don't have "livestock" you have pets! Enjoy all of your pets and don't worry about what other people think. Having water right where you need it will make life on the farm so much easier! Go Moody, time for those new shirts.
Living Traditions built a dome over their cradle to keep the goats off and to protect the hay from the weather. Thank you for giving Moody a loving home.
Yes their dairy cow was in a pasture with the goats and they would climb into the hay holder and poop on the hay, sleep in it. HIDDEN HEIGHTS FARM JUST HAD A VIDEO ABOUT THEIR HAY RACK, PUTTING 4 X 4 WELDED WIRE TO LINE IT, AS GOATS WASTE LOTS OF HAY.
“Cows” really appreciate a shade tree in the summer. If you don’t have any place with trees, a moo-vable shelter would help spread the ❤️ 💩 around. Chickens 🐓 also spread that fertilizer. Cow 💩 is awesome. I predict that having Moody will teach you things about cow poop you never knew you needed to know😂 Remember Moody can hurt you just because he’s big and strong. By petting him over the fence so much you may pay when you are in with him someday. That comment about throwing you in the air … we just don’t want that to happen EVER.
Yeah....my pet steer knocked me down in our garden when was 10 or so. He was gone soon...so...be careful protect the children. Big puppies don't know they can hurt ya....sorry to say...Also those little horns too ...still a steer....not a nice doggie....
I would say that from how amazingly friendly Moody is, he was very loved. Just the fact that his former folks were willing to give him up, shows that they cared very much for him♡ And boy, did he land in the pasture of plenty!!!♡♡♡
i adore y'all so much. going from having no plan to have cattle straight to, "oh, no! we need to get our boy STUFF!!" just so you can take care of a baby that just needed a home. y'all are great. :-)
It's so pure and happy to see Moody and Joe playing. You guys are doing a good job taking care of him. And you are good enough owners to realize you don't know everything and are willing to learn. Thank you for giving him a home.
I am laughing out loud at the Tongue! So glad this big guy ended up in such a nice place with kind people!:) Sometimes we don't get the pets we want but get the ones we need and who need us. Watching him play with the ball is adorable! I did notice in the first video he does look thin in the hindquarters. Maybe wasn't fed properly or de-wormed before.
The cool thing about cows is that they don’t care what you call them 😂. Cow or steer, he obviously loves you guys regardless! Welcome to the fam Moody. You are fixin’ to be spoiled.
@@ClearAdventure cow is a mature female bovine, bull is a mature male bovine, steer is a young male or a castrated bovine and heffer is a young female bovine
I LOVE Marycarl's name! This is my first visit, and I'm hooked. Your family is so uplifting! Moody is like a big schmoozy cat...how sweet! Subscribed! Oh, my gosh...Moody playing with the ball is so adorable! Who knew?😁
I absolutely love how well you guys care for your animals. With all the violence going on in the world, it truly helps to restore my faith in humanity. Thanks for the video. Keep us updated.
Eventually, you might want to consider putting some ducks in with Moody. They'll pick through his manure, eat any fly larva, and help to break it down faster and spread it for you, unless you're saving it as fertilizer for your garden that is. That said he loves you already! I think he loves being with the goats too. Edit: Check out Lester's "Hay Bar" he's built for Tex and the Bigs. Best version I've seen thus far! You might want to make your own version that would suit the goats as well in the future so that all can eat from the same bail, it stays dry and less work for y'all!
Moodys tongue wrapped all the way around Brooke’s arm. MaryCarl’s Zerk shirt is awesome. Jason your laugh is healing. Joe licking Nugget is hilarious as is Joe trying to headbutt Moody. Great video again.
The hay is great . I use to buy hay for outside beds for the out side dogs . It just seem to make a better bed kinda like a nest . The straw seemed like it fell apart more .
Great Vlog today, I ❤️ed it! Moody is in 7th Heaven now. He's found the Bovine Goldmine. No worries about running away. A big clumsy lovable puppy dog. Watch how his tail "wags" but Not shooing bugs. That's his playful & happiness meter, another trait bovine share with dogs, goats, & pigs. 💕 Congratulations 🎉 & a hug 🤗 for the generous love 💕 you share with All of God's wonderful creation. And thank you for sharing your blessed lives with all your cyber family members. ❤️
Be sure to have someone check out Moody's feet! He'll need regular claw care. Edited to add: look into cow brushes too (big round brushes they can scratch themselves on)-- Moody might really like one!
MaryCarl, I wore my silkie chicken tee shirt today to the doctors and got lovely comments. The ladies in the office couldn’t believe an 11 year old drew such a wonderful picture of a chicken.
He must have been very lonely at his last place. He’s obviously happy with ya all. Likes all the other animals, and you guys as well. He is cute and comfortable.
Moody is just a big ole sweet baby, who hit the jackpot at the Cog Hill Farm!!! I laughed so hard at him playing with the ball. Yes, Moody is finally home, and a contented 'cow'! Looking forward to watching him grow, and more of his antics. God bless
He actually looks like he is in decent condition. You should be able to see about 3 ribs and pin bones. Look up dairy body condition score. He should be around 2.5-3 on that scale. if you can see a distinct spine sticking out and his pin bones extremely prominent he is to thin but just from looking at the video I would say he doesn't have much gaining to do to stay at good condition.
I am so in love with your new farm and how all the animals have just adored their new homd. Moody is a hoot and such a wonderful addition to your family. Happiness is all around and shines through.
I love to hear Jason’s laugh 😂 and I know y’all get enjoyment out of seeing Moody run and play with his new toy ball 🏀 it’s so sweet how he plays with it and his new salt block he really loves and needed that too this makes me so happy 😀 💕🙏
I'm on your side. Most common usage of the word cow is as an umbrella. There's no other word for it. I grew up near a large area known as dairy valley. We called all of them cows.🐄
Moody sure hit on the right family to be his owners...he's one very lucky steer...and you guys are luckier still to have him...Nugget, Moody, the goats and the poultry....what a clan!!! 💟
Wow, you guys are so cute. Those animals are so lucky to be with you awesome people and you would be amazed at how good this is for your daughter to be raised like this. I just couldn’t stop watching all the love you and your wife have for all of the animals. It’s just beautiful to watch. You are a beautiful family, God bless, not everyone is as lucky or as grateful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
When I was a young teen we lived at Bentwaters in England. I was always a loner type and used to wander all around the countryside. I found a cow farm nearby and just about every day I would go visit the cows. They were in stalls and I would go around and pet them all. They all loved to give me kisses with their large tongues. That is who Moooody reminds me of. Good memories from my younger years. Love
Moody must be in his glory since he always wanted to be with goat friends and he couldn't stay with them before, now he can have a lot of goat friends! We'll see what Nugget thinks about him in time! 💗
I know it feels great to be able to give Moody the care he deserves! I appreciate you asking the right questions to the people who know vs just trying to wing it on your own. It's amazing how many people think they know enough without asking, and can actually cause harm! I want to send momma a pillow to sit on while driving that truck though!! 🤣 Made me chuckle as I'm a shorty and drove around leaning forward to turn to see enough like you do, and when I finally got a pillow....man what a difference. No clue why I waited so long - but there you have it!
Howdy Youngins, Never cease to be amazed at the things people get picky over. My Grandmas favorite saying was "All bulls are Cows but not all cows are Bulls". Reckon that goes for Steers too. Really like your 40 it's just gonna get better. God bless your happy home.
I named my dog Nugget 12 years ago, too funny! He is a cattle dog. Call them cows, the people that demand "Steer" etc are too pretentious. Unless you are talking to a vet about a problem, they are cows. 😊
Its lovely to see the mutual happiness of moody and your family, loved seeing him play with his ball, have you seen the cattle scratchers? They love those, they look like a car wash spinner, there's DIY versions too with broom heads
I'm so glad your family welcomed Moody in. I got a dog that was left in the back yard. She had her growth stunted because of it. I just never thought it would happen to a steer. He's so happy. Brooke I think when you put your head on his he fell in love. His ears came forward and everything. As Chad calls them grass puppies you now have a new puppy. Lol. 😃👍👍😊😉
Moody is so cute! He simply looks like he’s always belonged at Cog Hill Farm. His previous owners must have been so loving to him. He does look like an adorable puppy. I love seeing him loving you guys.
Moody needs an enclosure to get out of the rain, sun and cold weather. Looks like Moody is going to be a family pet, sort of. An enclosure is very important. PS, New Subscriber ‼️. Vinny 🇺🇸
Moody is bored! Cattle are herd animals and they enjoy company. Great idea to give him a ball and keep him with the goats. He is going to be a really big animal.
When you can see appreciation in the eyes of animals, you know that their life before wasn't necessarily the best. Mooody loves you so much already. When he started licking the mineral block and then went to play! Wow! Wow! and Wow! Then when he was given his dinner he didn't hesitate at all. I love that you all are giving Mooody all of the necessary items and going to have him looked over by a vet. Mooody is just one of the many healthy, happy, love filled critters on your farm. Part of the Cog Hill family. These animals are very lucky to have such great care givers. You all are lucky to have such animals, the love you have towards them is so fulfilling. How can that not make a person feel good, to be loved that much.
Stellar video! So very proud of y'all. Moody is a true, precious blessing. We're so excited to watch your journey with him. He's absolutely adorable! And your pet Emu is one of the cutest pets I've ever seen! Y'all are amazing people! God bless you and all you do!
Your farm should be a sanctuary for all the critters that need your love and care, because y'all love and care on your critters so beautifully.. Mr. Moody came into y'all's lives at that spir of the moment time for good reason. I always say, when choosing a cow for a pet, let the cow choose you 😉😅.. Mr. Moody made the perfect choice.. 🐄💚 He just a big ole puppy 😂💜 ☮️💙🤗 Back 40 Sanctuary has a nice ring to it☺️
Same. I thought “cow” was like “dog”, it covered both sexes. But, between you and Lester, I’m learning more and more about the farm life I’ll probably never get to experience!!
Oh my goodness I loved that video and seeing him with the ball was really fantastic… it reminds me of Tex.. you have enriched Moody’s life and he just loves his new home.. thank you for taking him and making his life a happy life 💕
There are people who love animals and then there are people like you guys. Thank you for showing humanity to each other and to other living beings in this world. I had forgotten during these times that there are good people around the world and it has given me a big lift just when I needed it. Cheers and stay safe (From Australia)
Somehow I came across your page & WOW, you guys & Moody are awesome. I can’t wait to be introduced to all the others animals and learn more about you guys by watching past videos. Definitely subscribed & glad I did - thanks for all you do for these beautiful animals and looking forward to getting to know more about your wonderful family 🙏🏻❤️🐄 🐐 🐈⬛ 🥰🙏🏻. Mary is absolutely beautiful - love her gorgeous hair color & her personality is precious, what a doll baby 🙏🏻🥰!
CHFF, You hit all the immediate boxes for Mr. Moody...the big thing with Holstein Steers is consistency, as they are always looking for rewards in the shape of treats and feed...his demeanor has settled down and he was super starved for human contact...my guess by his brief filming sessions with you both is that he was a bottle calf...once the vet checks him out, his hooves get trimmed a bit, he is dewormed, etc. you all got a beautiful steer that will love you unconditionally...Cheers from Maine.
I think you're right, Moody acts like a hand-fed pet. These animals and birds are a lot of work, and worth every minute. I wish I had the resources to do what they are doing. Living the life!
Ran across your video this morning, can’t stop watching! I’ve never seen ANYONE that was able to pet a Emu and MOODY is something else all together! He is going to be treated like a family member and thrive on your farm. You might want to fill the ball with more air so it will be less likely to get stuck under things in his pasture. Plus it will roll better and bounce off of things he rolls it against. I was raised in the country in Oregon, so this brings back memories of the late 1960s. I am 64 now and have lived in the BIG CITY (Denver)most of my adult life. But about 20 years ago I moved to Pierre SD. A big culture shock coming from one state capital to another. When I flew in for the first time, I thought we were making a stop in a small town before we went on to the capital. How wrong I was! Well, I’m back in the country again! BRAND NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE! Looks like Moody is going to be spoiled rotten which is already obvious. He'll be spoiled more then any steer in Alabama 👍. Y'all take such good care of your animals and, it shows. The attention to detail and interaction you give/show is priceless. KUDOS to all Y'all. Blessings Laurel 😁💗
Moody reminds me of Moo from Lester’s Ima Survivor Sanctuary. He doesn’t realize his size and strength! He is just a big ole baby who knows he is loved!❤️

Lol
The baby could walk between all of them while they waited for food or even eating….
I loved hearing your memories. What a wonderful childhood!
Lol
My dog (toy poodle) lived 21 yrs.. he traveled car, motorcycle, airplane,… everything.
@@smartassist9700 thx for ur story, I love animals n am vegetarian, fruitarian n pescatarian.
Lol
Maybe I should start a channel recollecting the old times in what AMERICA lost along the way.
There are chickens running around right there on camera.
Very good advice there, people!!! I didn’t know this about chickens and fly larvae!!! Wow, you guys are really helpful!
@@lovfroCity gal so impressed. You just blew through a mix of chemistry, physics, anatomy, biology and God knows what else in one sentence and it certainly was not on my SAT.
Y'all are so sweet. Brought tears to my eyes knowing Moody has a home now. He's so happy. Giving Brooke those loving likes. 💖🥲🥰
I love how you all care for the animals. Moody will never be a meat steer. Your kindness has saved his life. The ball was a great idea. We visited the Navarre Zoo in Florida. I felt some of those animals needed a ball too. It simulates their mind and gets them to exercise.
You can call him a cow or whatever you want to. He’s is living a great life because of you guys ❤️
Mary's design is very good. Also, to the designation word police, tell 'em, "It's my cow and I'll call it what I want".
Right!
My Dad had a holstein like Moody, his name was Alfy. He would follow my Dad like a puppy dog, would rub his head on Dad's back. It was super cute. Moody playing with that ball was so cute!!
I had no idea how much I needed Moody and the Cog family to make me laugh and feel joyful. Thank you for sharing 💞💗🥰
You’re very welcome ☺️
You did right with the water line and access to each pasture area. setting it up where they share a water between pastures is "always" a bad idea. Reason is if one animal gets sick then you have it contained to one pasture. If they share water... all that share get exposed. I'm old and have gone through this. You did good.
Did I miss something? I saw you putting purple primer on the pipe and then pushed it together. Where is the glue? I am assuming that you had put the glue on the inside of the pipe
Think wise, not old.
@@TheSwitzertrainer The purple stuff is the pvc glue.

Yes great idea and much needed!
@@dorothyallen3614 Looks like a lot of us watch the same channels!
Just Love Moody!💕💕💕 Thank you for taking Moody in and Loving him. You guys are so wonderful. Moody is one lucky cow.
“Cows” really appreciate a shade tree in the summer. If you don’t have any place with trees, a moo-vable shelter would help spread the ❤️ 💩 around. Chickens 🐓 also spread that fertilizer.
Cow 💩 is awesome.
I predict that having Moody will teach you things about cow poop you never knew you needed to know😂
Remember Moody can hurt you just because he’s big and strong. By petting him over the fence so much you may pay when you are in with him someday. That comment about throwing you in the air … we just don’t want that to happen EVER.
Yeah....my pet steer knocked me down in our garden when was 10 or so. He was gone soon...so...be careful protect the children. Big puppies don't know they can hurt ya....sorry to say...Also those little horns too ...still a steer....not a nice doggie....
putting him in with the goats was smart because cows are herd animals in nature
Moody was a good addition to the family he is settling in quite well and he gets along so far with everybody and he loves people
Moody is flocking chasing the ball. How cute is that
Ok y’all, I know I am kinda late on this but “I am Team Mo-Jo!” Watching those two play together tickles me! :) So Awesome! Much Love !
It makes my heart so happy to see Moody enjoying his life. You are both such wonderful, caring people. Thank you for caring and taking him on.
Hi
I would say that from how amazingly friendly Moody is, he was very loved. Just the fact that his former folks were willing to give him up, shows that they cared very much for him♡ And boy, did he land in the pasture of plenty!!!♡♡♡
Love the way you guys care for your animals' mental well-being as well as physical!
i adore y'all so much. going from having no plan to have cattle straight to, "oh, no! we need to get our boy STUFF!!" just so you can take care of a baby that just needed a home. y'all are great. :-)
I've definitely found a new fave!

Marycarl that shirt is so cute...your a very talented young lady..
Moody is so sweet! Love seeing our sweet animal friends being loved and treated well! 💕
The cool thing about cows is that they don’t care what you call them 😂. Cow or steer, he obviously loves you guys regardless! Welcome to the fam Moody. You are fixin’ to be spoiled.

Oh, my gosh...Moody playing with the ball is so adorable! Who knew?😁
I absolutely love how well you guys care for your animals. With all the violence going on in the world, it truly helps to restore my faith in humanity. Thanks for the video. Keep us updated.
One spoiled Bovine. I haven't laughed this much in a long time - - again helping me to recoup from surgery - -thanks loads.
Moody is so adorable! And how happy he is with you all! He loves his new ball !
Moody's a lovely boy and so lucky to have your family adopt him. You're all awesome!
Moody is one happy steer. He was frolicking and that means he's extremely happy. Can't say that I blame him I would be happy living there too.

I love that you care as much about your animals happiness as you do their health.
Happiness is all around and shines through.
he REALLY loves your wife!! and she's so good with him!! may The Most High bless your wonderful family for the kindness you show all his creatures!!

I'm on your side. Most common usage of the word cow is as an umbrella. There's no other word for it. I grew up near a large area known as dairy valley. We called all of them cows.🐄
bovine
Cattle covers cows, bulls, heifers, and calves.
And steers
Lol, I grew up near a farm, so I know! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin AKA “Americas Dairyland”. We called our milkers cows, but I sure wouldn’t have called the bull a cow.
Moody sure hit on the right family to be his owners...he's one very lucky steer...and you guys are luckier still to have him...Nugget, Moody, the goats and the poultry....what a clan!!! 💟
Hey there people your show is awesome, moody looks like an old time mix call Holstein fernsteen.great milkers and super moms.cute.
There are nutrients in the skin of the banana... Cows do have 4 stomachs they're gonna ruminate on that to make sure it gets broken up just fine.
WOW I NEVER SEEN A COW TOO PLAY WITH A BALL WOW MOOFY IS SO VERY CUTE WITH THE BALL U GUYS GAVE HIM .🙂

A tip for group feeding horses that should work for the goats is to divide the food and include an extra bowl. Three goats, four bowls. No fighting.
I’m enamored with Moody the steer. He’s like a big baby wanting to play. How sweet!
Howdy Youngins, Never cease to be amazed at the things people get picky over. My Grandmas favorite saying was "All
bulls are Cows but not all cows are Bulls".
Lol. 😃👍👍😊😉

CHFF, You hit all the immediate boxes for Mr. Moody...the big thing with Holstein Steers is consistency, as they are always looking for rewards in
the shape of treats and feed...his demeanor has settled down and he was super starved for human contact...my guess by his brief filming sessions with you both is that he was a bottle calf...once the vet checks him out, his hooves get trimmed a bit, he is dewormed, etc. you all got a beautiful
