Anyone can tell stories but it takes a special talent (which you certainly possess) to do so in a captivating manner so as to keep your audience interested and focused on your topic until the very end. Keep up the good work my friend.
Thank you thank you I can’t say it enough
And driving in New York traffic Mooney doesn’t skip a beat !! Good stuff 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✊✊✊
If he was racist he wouldn't have gone down to the South in the Civil Rights era and kill those white people who were beating up black people.
Nice job on this one -- it's one thing to be a good storyteller but to do it while driving through Brooklyn takes it to a whole new level. Your channel is one of the very few that even my g/f watches with me, usually over breakfast. Keep up the good work!
I love this 👍

You just drove by nino gaggi's house where Dominick montiglio used to live! That's another video..love them all! Keep up the good work!!
At what time/point in the video did he go by Gaggi’s house?
On the left turn...on cropsey Ave..around bay 22...2nd house in on the left...I think it's 1939....in any case it's on cropsey and it has a white garage door ( not in video)

@@MariaDiaz-mn4bs On Google Maps it appears it's in Bath Beach, but shouldn't it be in Bensonhurst?

Good old Brooklyn New York, I miss it, my home town, I like watching your stuff Mooney, because I get to see Brooklyn again, once you drove down the street I used to live on, grew up on, I miss it, thanks again bud
Thank you for watching!
We call it The Dump.
Your videos and narration are terrific. Keep them coming.
Thank you. I’ll keep going as long as you keep watching👍
This brought me back. I grew up in Bensonhurst in the early 70s & 80s before I moved to Staten Island in the 90s, it was like I was driving through my old neighborhood. Thanks for the video. By the way, you passed right by Sammy The Bull Gravano’s old construction office where he had DB killed when you drove on Stillwell Avenue. I think it was DB.
If he was racist he wouldn't have gone down to the South in the Civil Rights era and kill those white people who were beating up black people.
Holy Mother of God ! Have you seen what it looks like NOW ????
Same here, late 70s til 1991. So many familiar places, including my old house make appearances in Mooney's vids.
Thanks for sharing all your videos. You have a special talent that keeps your viewers captivated. At times it literally feels like I'm right there on the scene with you.
Keep up the great work & sharing these videos. I know I sure enjoy them.
Thank you & God Bless

Interesting story Mooney, very well told , scarpa was certainly not a man to be messed with , When you live that life surely You are on a path to self destruction, thank you for sharing this 👍
Mooney, next time your on Ave U, go down to Nostrand Ave and on the right is Brennen and Carr. There, you will experience some of the best roast beef sandwiches you ever had, in my opinion.
Wow Brennan and carr is still there?? Holy shit
Good job Mooney, very intriguing.

Another nice one Mooney.
Excellent video Mooney !!! During this pandemic when one occasionally questions one's sanity... I hook up with one of your mob vids and I'm reassured, I'm fine. lol :o)
23:23. Not too far from Spumoni Gardens. Too bad you didn't stop by and get a slice of the Sicilian. Great video as always.
Love your videos man
Thanks jake!
Love your video bro, keep up the good work
I'm from Scotland and there was a series sir Trevor Mcdonald did on the mob with scarpa's daughter Linda being in one of them. Its pretty good viewing I'll drop a link and anyone can fill their boots with them if it's your desire.
Where the link @
Yes the celt
Your right. He has a few shows that are about the mafia and their children and/or wife's
It's a good show. A must watch.
Thank you.
Scarpa's club on 13th avenue is Dyker Heights, Brooklyn
Nice video my friend, watching and hearing your truck it remembers me the streets in Puerto Rico when i drove around, i had to replace tires every once in a while because of the holes. I just subscribe after watching a few of your videos. Thanks
Thank you!!
Good job Mooney.. I always wanted to see the wimpy boys social club!!!!!!
What a shame how the neighborhood changed.
It is DISGUSTING.
He met the REAL Grim Reaper!!!
Great video!
The beginning of this story reminds me of a scene in a movie call Mississippi Burning
L&B pizza the best
Sicilian pizza in Brooklyn
Yes sir!
Lol love that place
Yes sit!
I would love to try it.
DiFara’s might be the best in my opinion
You had a great idea with doing these vids..good job bro

I just finished watching the Gatsy LI one, David Berkowitz, and the Dead End city. Great job! I’m looking forward t
To the Grim Reaper also.

Thank you
Lovin your vids bro i love all the mob stuff im in dublin ireland
👍💪
Love these ones mate, you need to do a goodfellas one 😁
MOONEY : 4:17 THIS SPOT is where they filmed The French Connection in 1971 !!!!! Check out the car chase scene !! Back in the day it was a mind blower.
Good like always 👍🏻
The movie "Mississippi Burning" is loosely based on this story; except that Hollywood left out the fact that a mobster was the one responsible for getting the truth out of the mayor, lol!!! Great video!!!!!
Fantastic video.
Only Aids could stop Gregory Scarpa. The Columbo war was one of the most deadliest Mafia wars. It was deadly for those against The Grim Reaper. You didn't go against him and you didn't do anything to his family. If you made the mistake of doing so, you had a date with The Grim Reaper. Those dates didn't go well. Gregory Scarpa was one of the most deadliest Marfia Capos. What shocks me is when Paul Castellano wanted Roy Demeo killed he went to Gravano and Gotti and both turned the contract down. I'm surprised Big Paul didn't offer money to Gregory Scarpa. Imagine that gun fight.
Gotti and sammy turned it down because roy was a killer and knew all the tricks. His crew were best placed to kill him as they could get close
Think I’d keep a distance from Scarfa, but he makes for a good story!
SCARPA. You're crossing his name with Nicky SCARFO,from Philly.
I agree.
He’s dead and the area is 90% Asian. It’s over.
OHHHHHH THE VIDEO IS UPPPPPPPPP
Went to fort Hamilton HS...Nice thanks...
Hey Mooney ✌. Shout out from up north !
What’s up gang !!!
Is there anything you may be able to do about the volume on your videos ? I enjoy them all but even with my volume all the way up it is hard to hear you. Thanks and keep up the great work !
I'm not sure which was more dangerous the Scarpa's or the roads you were driving on...
Lol
That story about the civil rights activists in Mississippi was put into an episode of Godfather of Harlem.
You do a great job my friend!
Dude, if you could do some Canadian hells angels story trips.
They would get even crazier up there!!
That’s on the list trust me
I was in the Pen. With some guys who knew him very well and rumor has it on he would plant a gun after he used it under a rivals porch and have him pinched again rumor I'm not from New York 038 is Boston good vid.
If that rumor is true that’s wild.
Love your channel, can you do something on Joe Armone and Joe N. Gallo.
Nice drive and commentary.
Yo yo...i live in this neighborhood right now. It is more like bejinghurst now
Blookryn
PURE CAPITALISM AT ITS FINEST, AND I'M BEING POLITE. OUR GRANDPARENTS PAYED LESS THAN THIRTY. BUT THE KIDS JUST COULDN'T PASS UP ON THAT OFFER OF 999.999 OR EVEN BETTER 1.3 AND A NICE LUMP OF SCADOLE UNDER THE TABLE . WHY , IT'S STILL A GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD. IT DIDN'T TURN INTO CANARSIE. AND THAT MY FRIEND IS HOW IT BECAME BEJINGHURST.🤑
I left there for Vegas 7 years ago. You knew a chinese guy was going to buy your house . No one came to look at it.
I grew up there, saw it slowly go from Italian mob to Russian mob then I left. I visited 5-7 years later, mid 2000s, everything was Russian and then 2 years later all Chinese. Almost overnight, couldn't even find a newspaper in English.
You are not lying.
You passed my childhood home when you turned into Avenue U!
Always like your vids bud
Another good job the grim reaper is one of the scariest guys besides Mr Neil . I wish they had more testimonials of the people getting shook down how they were approached what was said how the pick ups went down , I’d like hear there stories.
They kept their mouth shut
Cool video. Crazy guy! Love the videos. Watch those lights honey!!
Lol
@@NEUTRALDROP what's up Papa Mooney!?
@@probablynotwearingpants6228 yo all good how bout you Karl
@@NEUTRALDROP good brotha, you going live again? I was laughing my ass off when you started cleaning the camera lens, I think that was in reference to Stunts fromunda cheese fingers touching the phone.
I still find it insane that Scarpa, Gravano, Casso, Tommy “Karate” and a lot of other’s we’re all running around loose ALL at once. Talk about the most dangerous of the dangerous.
Larry Mazza explains what the pager number 666 meant. During the Colombo war of the 1990s when they wanted to meet each other they would get a number paged to them. Everyone had their own. He stated Greg picked 666. The different numbers indicated who was paging and where to meet

You past his club on 13th ave, why didn't you drive by his house up the block from the library?
Great video,,,did you get a new vehicle. Sounds a lot quieter
Same truck just new exhaust
So do you get your information from any place other than wikipedia?
Watch Larry Mazza interview on Vlad UTube channel and his book called The Life...awesome
Great story!
My old neighborhood. I remember the kid in the bagel shop. His name was Matteo Speranza. He went to my old high school Lafayette. He was a good kid. Well-liked by everyone. At graduation there was a tribute to him. I remember all of it. It was crazy times.
poor kid
tammi are you related to neil dellacroce ?
Good stuff !
Very good. Thx
Good thing he died, he would have definitely been wacked once they found out he was an informant
Ironically, the big boss already knew. Don't believe in folklore that you IMMEDIATELY DIE breaking rules. They care about making money. Every Single Mafia family sells drugs. The money is there. However, "you deal you die" edict is heard
@@AK-dr7pb you get caught you die is more of the way it seems. All greed. No loyalty, no honor and no respect.
I find it hard to believe that nobody suspected Greg of being an informant.Perhaps the ones that were able to just kept their distance/dealings from him.
His brother Sal did suspect it, and Greg had him killed. Hired a couple of guys to stick up a bar where Sal was to look like a robbery gone wrong. Too many people think that Greg Scarpa was fearless. He was consumed with fear in reality. He was also scared to do time so he had his son take his rightful rap, where his son just recently got a compassionate release.
Chris AA that’s horrible having your own brother killed and allowing your son to do jail time.Probably he knew if he ended up in jail his double dealing would have caught up with him.I agree. From some of the video footage and pictures I have seen of him you can see fear/stress in him.Even wearing glasses you can still feel that vibe coming from him.
Watch Larry Mazza interview on Vlad UTube channel.. He will explain all that in that interview in his book called The Life 1 of the best books
Patts Katoey you look like a MOB princess
Bella "T" TBC Larry Mazza is good to listen to but I can’t stand Vlad.
Hey Mooney, Cropsey, Bath, Benson, 86th St, New Utrecht, great memories.. FUGHETABOTIT!!!!!!!
I walked these streets every day in the 80s and 90s…grew up on 13th and 69th used to see Joey scarpa 15 times a day back then…lol
Wow
You don't wanna see what it looks like TODAY !
@@LannieLord I have been back
A few times over the last few years… best pizza and pastries in all of New York in that neighborhood lol
But I finally moved out of New York last year and I’m not looking back!
Like your videos. Sometime I would enjoy a video on the Westies .
Just found Ya subbed 😉 have you done one on Roy Demeo and the Gemini lounge another demonic crew
Oh yes I have. One video is on the lounge and one is about his house in Massapequa.

BROOKLYN BROOKLYN always funky fresh
Not familiar with that area of Brooklyn, as I rarely went to that borough. But I did on occasion hang with some buds in Brooklyn Heights near the bridge. The name 'Wimpy Boys' seems like an odd name of a social club for tough guys. Well, I sure wouldn't tell em' that! LOL. Thanks again Brandon, another great vid!
The name was drummed up out of humor & Sarcasm
I want to ask a question did Anthony Casso lived in Bensonhurst. because I know that his wife Lillian Del Duca Casso lived in Bensonhurst I'd like to know about Caso s dad he was an enforcer in the Colombo family correct me if I'm wrong
Great videos. Should’ve gone down 82nd street. Number 1243. It was scarpa’s house where the shootout happened when Linda was in the car behind him.
Nicholas Grancio, shot dead @ McDonald Ave and Ave U in Gravesend. Columbo Power Struggle.
scarpa even took racism to level 11.
You’re right on that
Greg must have worn protection when he was hanging out the back of Larry Mazza!🤣
Wow, are all the streets 2 lanes? I've never seen that before.
Was next to the restaurant. And 1st one was across the street
Ralph Macchio narrating? Didn't know he was a mob buff. ;)
Hahaha

That's a whole other story.

Hi mate i am from uk..is it safe to go new york now??
Wait! You couldn't use a pager to send text only receive numbers left from using a telephone as far as I know until the advent of the two way which was the predecessor to modern day texting! Maybe I'm wrong but I had many different pagers (because I'm old as f**k) and all could only receive messages in number format.
That’s out of my Knowledge lol way before my time
Just chiming back in 5 months later to congratulate you on becoming knowledgeable about how pagers work!
