I asked the world's top Fortnite players how much money they earn. Follow me on Instagram: / jordanwelch Shoutout to @YourFellowArab for helping us out.
We're living in some of the craziest times in history... you got high schoolers making six figures a year playing Fortnite 😂 There's no excuse for being broke these days.
there really is this is top 0.1 percent maybe even lower. I was top 1k players and didn't make a dime on fort. even in challenger league solos and duos should ahve 2k earned on fort. I had a; scholarship and won 400$ in college events tho
I think one of the lessons here is to mix up your income streams. So tournament earnings + having a youtube channel + streaming + sponsorships + having a product to sell + affiliates and then just hyper focus on the two or three that are just overwhelmingly are the highest earners. A lot of these guys (and gals) will get the most consistent income from steaming + ad revenue building a channel. If any of those top players with a lot of followers create a course or something on how to do this full-time they may eclipse any game earnings. I made almost one million last year by doing courses (not on gaming though but I wish it was!) lol. Great video as always @JordanWelch
@@empary9698 there are many "good" content creators who are not getting the appreciation they deserve. People often wouldn't appreciate you for your "hard work"
I know a lot of friends who tried to become professional gamers (they went all in on gaming and skipped school). Out of all of these guys (probably 30+) I know one guy who actually managed to do something out of it. He is signed to a mid level professional team and makes about 50k from his org, he doesn't stream that much but could probably make more if he really wanted. The rest of them made no or very small amount of money, so they doesn't really have anything. A lot of them invested their teenage years into gaming, have no social life, no education and no real motivation for anything, a few of them even depressed. So becoming a pro gamer is not easy, and it's a very risky way, you need talent and a lot of dedication. Unfortunately most people won't make it at all, and the chance of making as much money as the guys in this video, is incredibly small.
not really about being a pro, more using gaming to make money through either being a pro and playing tournaments/streaming on twitch or any other platform, patreon, youtube etc.

Everyone making new clips, RUclips creators, like you’re competing in entertainment and theirs countless niche, doing the same thing. I’m not even going to touch on the connections cause that within itself everyone knows about favoritism and whatnot but the point being that fame comes with a cost.
