This is so dumb. Thank you for making this video, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make it work. I finally just went ahead and learned how to use Orca slicer since their cutting tool is not only native but also much more intuitive and versatile.
THIS IS SO HELPFUL
Comments like this are why I do RUclips! Thank you!
Hey buddy. It's been a min lol. I needed to know how to do this forever lol. My printer is down atm but hope I can get it back running
Don’t all other slicer have this natively?
I don't think it's mirroring, but it's taking the bottom part and turning it over 180°.🤔😉
Is there a way to remove the part below the plate? I want to rotate the split part after splitting.
THIS!
Howdy fella, I am brandnew to this hobby , ender 3 v3se delivered today still to open box and setup
Q, when you download from thingyverse or cults3d they say model can be printed in any scale I.e 1:24 or 1:32 where do I set the scale after downloading the stl file
Your assistance will be great fully appreciated (it's a slot car body)
I typed in split and nothing comes up. Did they take it out?
I like it. Normally I use openscad and cut out a 0.1mm cube where I want to cut and use the mesh split model. This could be useful though. Now, if it could add connection points like a hole and cylinder so you can snap it together that would be even more useful.
That's a great idea!
You can in meshmixer, ie hole/cylinder to snap together.
@@3DPrintsNW sounds great except I don't know how to use meshmixer. The one time I tried it confused me. I will have to try again and see if youtube has some tutorials on it.
how your CURA ignores half of model while this model is not inside the borders. I can't slice my model CURA says about borders and can't slice it. Help pls
Sorry but I don't know of a single time I would have used this, especially if I can't rotate the parts and maintain the split.
How do you get the custom graphics for the build table in Cura?
How can you split perfectly in half? Thanks in advance.
You could try taking your z-measurement and moving the object down half of that measurement. If my logic is sound that should work
This is not really a cutting tool. It is a duplicating tool. If you could save the cut pieces I would like it a lot better, but you can't.
