@@OscarLiberek , What year is your Varadero? From the dash I can tell it's an early carburetor model. I am trying to get coolant hoses for the 1999 Varadero, many of the OEM hoses are no longer available and I am surprised that no aftermarket silicone hoses are being produced for a bike that was manufactured in large numbers. I wish I didn't have to pull a hose off every time I need to drain the coolant, a bolt and bronze washer is much easier to replace than a hose once it has been pulled off and on a few times. Only other complaints with my Mk1 Varadero afer 125,000 kms of riding is the fuel consumption (thirsty beasts), and the lack of a sixth gear for freeway use. Best wishes.
@@TS50ER My Varadero is also from 1999 :) I feel you man ^^ a bolt and bronze washer would be great ....everyone else does it like that xD maybe there are universal coolant hoses available....I saw some sets for motocross bikes in different lengths and diameter, also very flexible. I hope you can find something in the mx or rode race market! My coolant hoses are still in a good shape but I have 54.000km on the bike not comparable to your 125.000km. ^^ Yeah, my vara is also thirsty xD After I rebuild the carburetor, I set the mixture too rich and know I am too lazy to fix it hahahaha. I hope your still riding on your vara! Stay safe! And sorry for the late answer. 😉
@@OscarLiberek , Thanks for the advice, I will look for some flexible silicone hose at the right diameter. Still riding my bike, just back from a 3,000 kms camping trip. Best wishes to you.
Hehehe it is a great bike! You can cruise and ride fast as well. The right amount of torque and power! Great seating position. With a good exhaust the sound from this V2 is amazing. The fuel consumption is a little bit higher compared to an injection bike. I am very happy with this bike! 😉
A hugely underrated bike that will do that in the twisties, and then proceed to cruise all day on a highway, crossing continents with extreme comfort.
true words man! :) even on the twisties this heavy bike is super agile and feels great!
