We spend the day watching the story unfold on the history channel to remember and respect all that was lost...So sorry someone so close to you was there...God bless, brother...Jim
My stepson is a FDNY firefighter. He developed cancer from working the rescue/recovery from that terrible day. I was working at a Verizon bldg. in NY that day. We had a similar event where a Verizon representative told us we need to leave because the country is under attack, and they need to protect the communication.
Definitely not a day to forget. I was in an elevator pit in downtown Nashville running electrical pipe and kinda like you we were told to go home. Dad was already there and we sat and watched the second plane hit. One of the few times I ever saw him cry like that. God bless brother!!
It was a day not to be forgotten. I'm very sorry you lost a close friend. I was sitting on the side of the road, in a line of cars refusing to cross a picket line. Someone ran up the line of cars telling everyone. The line came down and we all went in, only to see the second plane hit, on tv. Not long before that, i was on a four day cruise. I ate every meal with two buddies from NY. One was a police officer and the other was a fire fighter. I often wonder if they made it through that day, or the residual effects. Have a great day!
Great video, and day of remembrance. I know I will never forget 9/11, it is forever stamped on my memory, as is the Challenger disaster. Both seem like yesterday to me. Thank you for sharing today brother. God bless.
Randy, I believe every man needs a few stumps set up out in the backyard by the fire pit. An enjoyable place to kickback and do some thinking or to just escape for a while. My thoughts and prayers today are with the families of all who were lost in the terror attacks of 9/11.. As we remember as a nation today of the events of twenty three years ago, these family members still live this tragedy everyday. I think of all who demonstrated their bravery that day, like the 343 firefighters in ground zero who gave their lives trying to save others. God Bless the United States of America.
