Ralf Rangnick says he "could not have possibly turned down" the role of interim manager at Manchester United and the German wants to create a more balanced squad to help them compete with their Premier League rivals.
Rangnick has begun his role as Manchester United's new interim manager for the remainder of the campaign after his work permit and necessary paperwork were approved.
During the press conference it was revealed that he turned down an interim role with Chelsea earlier in the year and that he had tried to keep Michael Carrick at Old Trafford.

We have some great coaching talent in germany due to very special system the DFB has introduced in germany. Ole sacked himself by having so much inexperienced coaches around him.. the squad is strong and balanced enough to challenge for the title. Ole made bad decisions and favoritism, greenwood starting over Sancho, look how many chances Sancho created? The first and third goal came from Sancho involvement.. greenwood would look to shoot.

    • @leonnguyen4599
      @leonnguyen4599 2 года назад

I wouldn’t say Ole picking Greenwood was favoritism. Ole wasn’t good enough tactically to help Sancho shine so he chose Greenwood because it works. Always starting Fred and Mctominay, or even Matic over Van De beek is the real favortism

    • @walata11

    • @NextChapterRapper

You guys are talking like we have better options than McTominay at CDM. 🤔
Ole wasn’t tactical enough to adapt to completely shifted balance after last transfer window. Up to that point he achieved top 3 for 2 years in a row. He got us here, now stepped aside for necessary tactical elevation.
However, the squad is definitely not complete. We need:
Out: Pogba, Jesse, Matic, Mata, Martial, (Cavani 😢), Bailly, (maybe Dalot unless he proceeds like he did vs Arsenal)
      In:
      - 2 CBS to compete with Maguire and backup Varane. Make Lindelof work for it.
      - A world class CDM to lead the way for McTominay. He’s a promising lad, but lacks good examples.
      - A world class CM to partner Bruno for Fred to play second fiddle to.
      - a world class striker to compete or partner with Greenwood once Ronnie retires.
      - maybe a RB to lead AWB if Dalot doesn’t make a definite push now.
That’s 5-6 players in, 6-8 players out. What I’m curious about, is if United can become swifter on the market with Rangnicks experience added to the board. Because we have been too slow to really overhaul the squad, like for example Chelsea did after that ban, or Pep did for years consistently after he joined City. We act at half that tempo, meaning while we solve 2 problems, 2 more problems have the time to arise and we remain with a constant lack of average quality. Ole is the first of 4 post-Fergie managers to actually leave a better squad than what he found when he arrived.
I’m absolutely buzzing for Rangnick but I PRAY for the board to actually capitalize on his qualities by putting the absolute wrath of god behind him. UTFR!

I think Manchester United need to lose a lot of the attention they have received for all the wrong reasons.
