You need to listen to the hidden track on FACE called Letter, Jungkook does the background vocals. I agree I wish there was a couple more songs, but I loved the album for what it is.
Because of how this Album was arranged this gave more sense on why and how auto tunes were used in the song Set me Free part 2. Where he has negative inner voices talking in his head continuously fighting with his sanity and state of mind which thankfully he was able to overcome those negative thoughts.
For me it seems like Face off is facing your feelings but just drinking them off and then Like crazy is about wanting to go back and stay in that good time and escaping. At the end he realises he's alone and sadness come. And then he finally realises that only way to move forward is set yourself free of your own enemies and face yourself. But there is many way people can look at it and that makes it amazing. But this album is really like a story. Please react to the hidden track Letter. Jimin said he wrote it to army and it was hidden just in CD and it's so beautiful.
In the interlude I think you missed the most important part at the end where you can hear him pouring drink. Like at concert he seems happy but then he goes to his room and get drunk. But great reaction, purple you💜

I love the 'alone' lyrics, the way he says
"It's gonna be alright" and the voices comes from background "lie lie lie lie lie"
Like, he pretends like everything will be alright but in reality he know that too that it's a lie
To me this was Jimin suffering through a series of events, which involved friendship, the pandemic and how to properly process/face the feelings that resulted from these events. Within this album he candidly shares with us his journey. Jimin has mentioned on several occasion how being honest and open is important to him. So based on his statements in interviews, although he's past this difficult time in his life it's still a time he wanted to get out for his own benefit. We're just here to quietly listen as he shares a part of his journey and healing with us. The drinking wasn't the biggest or even big issue. While it certainly isn't easy to think someone we care about was experiencing such hard times and we were unaware; statistics show he was not alone in being ill-equipped to handle the affects of a worldwide crisis. We all suffered, so I appreciate his ability to bare his raw emotions and thoughts during that time. I love this album, not just because it's Jimin's, the music is just really good. Side note: When he talks about being drunk sometimes he means it literally, sometimes figuratively and sometimes both.
I discovered you a few days ago and basically have been bingeing your vids bc Jimin is my bias and I couldn’t wait to see your reaction to Set Me Free but I had to follow your journey in order. Thanks for sharing your journey!

I like all of them, but Alone is my favorite I think. Love "like crazy" and "set me free pt2" as well. The entire album makes all the songs better imo. Like Crazy (eng vers) surprised me by giving me more clues as to what was going on with lines like "Emotions on ice" and "a dark haze clouding up my eyes"

Love this album and your reaction to it! Jimin's work on his debut album is extremely inspirational, especially since I'm working on my debut album as well! You should react to his live performance of Serendipity when you get a chance!
In the UK, the expression “off your face” means to get very drunk. Considering the song is about getting drunk and escaping reality, I think “Face Off” is referencing this expression. Not sure if its used it in the states.

Thanks for the reaction! It is also interesting that the English version of LC differs in words from another. It's as if he's giving his word to the part of himself that he rejected in Face-off. I don't know if it makes sense.

A story of someone struggling daily. Overcoming a depression is terrible.
Jimin played that song (the one that sounds like a carnival) on the piano in a BTS video…….not sure if it was In The Soop or Bon Voyage…..but it’s one of the few songs he has shown that he knows how to play. I also think the melody it turned into was the song that was playing when BTS were on an awards show and each were dancing in a box like puppets😳

This whole album is about a relationship. He’s not telling that to protect her from army they would ravage her. Jimin dated from 2018 to 2022 to 23 for reasons I won’t reveal but she hurt him mentally. I loved them together so RIP

@@LexListens at least I would recommend watching it. suga said in this episode, that he wanted to make suchwita in order to give his members a platform for their solo projects. so the episode is very insightful. the whole album was made in one year, from discussing his feelings for the lyrics to choreos, mvs and planning promotions. and compared to the rap line, producing and writing was still kind of new for jimin. he also talked about his eagerness and self-expectations in the past which he seems to have faced now. in the like crazy behind the scenes he also told that each song stands for an event.
AND suga told a nice story of how he encouraged jimin when they were trainees. but find out yourself! :D
