Until she trampled that gift, fed me little "white" lies, betrayed my trust or wishes, didn't appreciate me or give me attention when i needed it , when i felt down, alone or damn right shitty. She wasn't there when i needed her most and slowly but surely the love i had withered, wilted and faded away until it was an empty hollow shell of it once was but i knew deep down i still loved her, i still loved her when i broke up with her and i loved her for many months after. I would have done anything and everything for her but she would have never have done the same for me, she didnt do the same for me. But i did, i did everything, went above and beyond nearly lost my best friend of 15 years because i chose her. And so I won't allow myself to be that weak again.
