Goats need more than grass. They are not "grazers", they are foragers. They need woody material in their rumen, in addition to grasses. You are going to need some free choice minerals. I have seen you feeding bagged feed, so that should make up some of the difference. Herd size is very important, so you're making good choices. If a vet is telling you that your animal has worms, they need to give you a load count. Most animals have some presence of internal bacteria, worms, etc, but they should be able to self manage. Discuss with the vet what is considered a healthy load vs a load that is harmful.
I was going to add, that we use a mobile feeder that has minerals, water, shade and hay that we use to follow our herd as we rotationally move them through our Ranch.
Is there a way that that lean-to be used for both padlocks or would that ruin the plan for the parasite cycle to be interrupted? Id watch your videos if they lasted an hour I just love you all!!!
That is a concern…. they could spend to much time in the lean to and still catch parasites, but the goal is for them to spend more time in the field eating. If I see they are spending a lot of time in the lean to I may need to add shade out in the field or keep them out of the lean to unless it’s raining

I'm not all that convinced it's all from the heat though. The heat doesn't help but would you please get yourself checked out with a cardiologist. You are not too young for a problem to develop. My sister just had a surprise heart attack; I myself developed heart issue and my only symptom was being short of breath more often. I ended up with open heart surgery. I lost a son at age 31 with a heart attack. My father had a very serious heart attack at age 49. Yes our family seems to have a history of hert issues but it doesn't need always follow that way. I would really hate to learn one of these days that you had a problem. It's much better to be safe than sorry. When I see my cardiologist her waiting room has some younger patients than you would think. You have a great family depending on you and those sweet grandchildren coming along that you want to be here and healthy to enjoy them for a very long time. This is just you faux 87 year old mother nagging at you. lol
Personally I think that the there should be an̈ age limit of who can run for president. Age 35-59 that way they're out of office by 68. It's ridiculous that there's a bunch of old farts trying to run our country and half the time none of them know what they're saying or doing. They're just being led around like a pack horse. We need someone who's mind is still sharp.

Your grazing idea sounds pretty good to me. Do you milk for the homestead?? We pay $12 a gallon and have to supply the glass jars.
