Join me, Spy, as I land onto a Mysterious planet in Astroneer where I have to develope our base while finding massive crash sites, caves and mines underground that contain a ton of resources and research parts. The base will continue to grow until we blast off into space to find a new planet to call home!

It's great to see so many of you enjoying this series! I realized that there was a winch that can be researched and added to the truck but no clue what to really research to get it as it seems the Crash site and Cave research nodes only give resources now.
Also, what would you all like to see done in this series?

SpyCakes put empty storages on the back of a truck while Mining with the new drill and have the one on the front when it gets filled the replace it with an empty one
It's possible but it might look weird! It would be made of dirt.

when you have the winch you can place it on a truck and attach it to large objects like the solar panel and drag them out of holes and back to base. The solar panel can be tapped into for power, you can test it with your truck. Biggest issue is once you have the panel back to base, how to position it so you can attach it to a base. You can't really flip it or stand it up easily.

Spy you should put the most heavy things from the truck on the front, so it has more power to go over rough terrain.
Thanks for the tip; how heavy is the crane? I'm assuming it's decently heavy so having storage in the middle-front section would be a better option, similar to the one I have, correct?
I think the base of the crane is prett heavy, but the crane itself is kinda light for a crane. I think you should put the crane on the first "wagon", the power supply on the second wagon, and the item storage on the last wagon. That will work with helping it steer better and have more power!
I love these Astroneer videos :) I hope they add more minerals and structures in the future soon and fix some of the lag. I think I'm going to buy this game when it's more finished.
I'm sure they will continue to add some great things; the frame stuttering for sure needs to be fixed as it's very noticeable, especially in my videos at times. Supposedly, that's due to the game saving everything, even all the planets as one file instead of them as separate instances so the game would load them all at once instead of individually when needed.
I think they should make the different planets in difficult dimensions (or worlds, rather), but still when you fly to another planet, It looks like that planet is in the same world, to reduce game saving lag. If you get what I'm saying though :P

Hi Spycakes. LOL - you only need a small generator and organics (you can just grab them as you need) for your cars. Also put energy on the front and back ends too. No need for that setup! You should get everything off the storage and and add smaller storages to it.
Didn't have enough big storage but in the next video I did that.
Put a small move able storage on the crane to have more drills

U should put the storage on the storage module that s in ur truck it helps bc u can have more space
if yoy have the winch print it and tow the solar panel to your base the rest is easy
drag it with the tow hitch to your base

try using the reach modules from other planets
You can actually attach all of the storage things you can on the storage price for truck do you can hold a lot of stuff that's what most you tubers did

And you don't put the seat on the shuttle, you need a special type of seat

Hi Spycakes, btw nice video,can you help me? I lost my way around the world and im trying to find my way back. Is the only way to find your spawn to die? cause I have 2 trucks connected with 6 pieces of research thanks :)
You should be able to see your home marker when close but I haven't really gotten lost like you. Your best bet may be to put your trucks near a landmark and respawn.
