We received the high end of the "local pockets" forecast over this last weekend (average forecast was 2-4 inches with pockets of up to 7 inches from Saturday thru Monday) and the river almost flooded for the second time this spring. And now this weekend could be even better? Average forecast from Friday thru Monday is for 3-5 inches with pockets of up to 8".
If we get the high end again, or, frankly, even 5 inches might be enough to flood the river. And I'll be right there to see it all thanks to the holiday weekend!!

Here in WV we are SAY below average temperatures right now. Cloudy, too, and wet and windy. Looks like that cool weather is not going anywhere! My seeds aren't sprouting in my garden! 😣Never seen it this cool this late.

As a Florida native still living in Florida, I smell hurricane season upon us. Ryan, I watched your coverage 10 minutes from Siesta Key when we had a direct hit until service and power was out.

NY Harbour area has been chilly and rainy most all week. Overcast and damp, it was 51° the other day. May is most usually rainy for us and cold air still coming off the ocean. Glad to have lower temps but folks are putting their gardens in - although nothing really unusual for May. We were just informed of bad thunderstorms coming in with 60 mph winds, 1 PM. The wind is starting to blow, in South Jersey and will be working its' way up.
    Be careful, everyone.
Thank you, Ryan! Your reports are always on time!

Love watching your weather forecast even though I’m not in The US. Wish we had someone like you and your team reporting on the Canadian weather. If there is I haven’t found them. I don’t have TV and even when I did the weather network is no longer local and is on a recorded loop that is annoying. This is corporate cost savings at play.
I can usually figure out from your reports if the border areas will be hit with bad weather. Just wanted to let you know you’re appreciated.
