Fun fact, you dont need to drag and drop every single bone into the "roots" the roots are for the start of the chain of bones. You just add the spring bone to the "new hat" then head and it should trace all the bones in that hat without the tedious process of dragging and dropping.

thank you sm!! and yes it works for hair! you just need to make sure that you've put the ears in seperate bone groups on vroid and then find that bone group in unity to change it :3 it'll be something like j_sec_hair_02 (or whatever number you'll just have to click on it to find out!)
I tried doing this for my models hair and it is still as stiff as a plank. I've watched many tutorials and my hair has all the bones that it needs and I just have no idea what to do. help T^T
You need to assign it to a bone group! Its outside of the editor, you just add the hairs with the tail to a bone group and adjust the amount of bones and physics. The physics can be adjusted in unity if it needs to be changed after!
I literally don't have VRM Spring Bone. I have VRM Spring Bone Joint and VRM Spring Bone Collider but that's it. Has it updated in the last few days in a way that makes my life absurdly harder? To be clearer, Sping Bone Joint is not the same as your Spring Bone. It's similar but lacking a few things and it doesn't seem to do anything nvm I figured it out
you should still get spring bones when you import the univrm package and your model! to download older versions of unity search ‘unity download archive’! hope this helps

@@Aspengray2001 when downloading unity VRM package, you need to dowbload the VRM 0.x Import/Export, not the VRM 1.0 Import/Export

i dont have the 2019 version you are using it makes me 2021 version of unity how do i add spring bones to that version?
