Back in the day, when I purchased my first home to live-in; that was Miami in the early 1990s, first mortgages with rates of 8 to 9% and 9% to 10% were typical. People will have to accept the possibility that we won't ever return to 3%. If sellers must sell, home prices will have to decline, and lower evaluations will follow. Pretty sure I'm not alone in my chain of thoughts.
Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me

Lena it’s the same in Australia!! The middle class that has always propped up the economy is slowly deteriorating. It’s just greed from banking, property developers and governments that’s too lazy to correct it because they are complicit!!!
If anything, it's likely to get worse. Affordable housing will soon become unaffordable. Therefore, I advise taking action now because today's prices will seem like bargains tomorrow. Until the Fed takes more decisive action, I expect we will see hysteria due to rampant inflation. You can't just halfway rip the band-aid off.

New American dream is leaving America. If this continues you’ll see most people that came from other countries they will be leaving.

The middle class, in New Zealand, has been non-existent for the past 20 years

do to US Govt. over spending in funding endless wars, thus creating high inflation, that kills U.S. MIDDLE CLASS. also, with high debt, and tariffs on Americans, they will face low standard of living. on job report, there are more part time jobs than FULL time jobs
Lena I listen to your post everyday that you put them out and just wanted to say that not only are obviously intelligent but the type content that you report on is what the American people need to be aware of. We Americans have been blinded by sports, entertainment, news propaganda, self indulgence and rights activists.
This problem is widespread in the west ever since the 1980s when governments deregulated the banking system and the cash flowed. Double income households helped bid up the price of housing and if you didn’t get in early you were stuffed. Governments were told to get out of providing housing to low income groups who now live in tents. Time for some big changes.
