I must tell you as a hairdresser and nurse, I don't think you see the danger or just knowing since your twin baby girl's hair is growing very slowly, you are creating more setbacks for their hair to circulate and breath naturally by tying the little bit of hair they have with rubber bands that's not meant to use on human hair. You're literally breaking the hair off every time you put it in their hair. For babies, nothing should be on their hair until it grows on its own naturally. Even a bow that's across the headline can stop the circulation of the blood, so the growing process of the hair can do what it's supposed to do without obstacles. Babies can't tell you if it's too tight which is worse and will stop the growth of the hair. Rubber bands are made out of rubber and when you sweat, it can absorb into the head, which I found out for my own hair and don't use them and I am not a baby! So for children it should be only soft little bows that have nothing on it, just material. About shampoos for children, you want shampoo with no oil, that's organic, without dyes and perfumes, and without anything that you can't pronounce in the ingredients. Those are all traces of chemicals. Shampoo with oil is for people with very curly hair. So please read the ingredients and choose a five star organic shampoo for your children's hair. Remember, when you braid your little girl's hair, it should be very tight because it will cause headaches and neck cramps as it's not allowing the blood to circulate the way it should.
