Played WoT for ten years. Tier 10 is the most advanced and most competitive. The German line you were playing, the Mauerbrecher, leads to the Maus. THAT is the true beast of the German superheavies. The best way to utilize it is to always angle your tank around 20-30 degrees off center-line, so as to create more difficult armor penetration angles, using the thick armor to deflect or absorb armor-penetrating shells. Your turret cheeks, the edges of the turret face, are flat so you need to keep your turret around 30 degrees off target. Only aim directly at the target when loaded, turning away as soon as you fire. The weakest part of your tank facing is the lower glacius, right under the front in the middle. Hide it as much as possible by using terrain features, dead tanks, buildings…anything that can cover it. Have fun.
Really appreciate this feedback, thanks Travis! Would you say the Maus is worth trying next? Any others that you can recommend in medium / tank destroyer classes? Looking for max fun factor. :)
@@MaskedGamer That is the best of the German heavies. Or the Russian IS-7, the Polish heavy is nice and has a 750hp cannon. You said you like TDs, I would suggest that Russian Obj 268 v4 or the American 103 as brawlers, or the German Grille as a sniper. Medium tanks are more mobile with weaker armor… anything Russian is a hull-down beast. Hide the lower plate and blast away. The Italian t10 is a strong one with a reload mechanic that reloads individual rounds…loads four and starts to reload as soon as you fire. But if you fire again, the reload on the first restarts. So your damage output is best if you fire only one or two, however all four is an option. 👍🏻 Really enjoy your work, especially the DBD stuff. Thank you for bringing a smile to some dark days.
Disregard some of the above comment. Grille is a sniper, but the gun is trolly, and it has AMAZING mobility. You want a real sniper, Leopard 1. As for the Rhinocerante, it's really... Really bad. The dpm on the gun is very low, and the armor, while nice, is trollish too. American tanks: T110e5 is great, T11034 is a good brawling td. German: Maus and Leo1 Russian: 268v4 for a brawly td with good speed, and IS7 Is... Acceptable, but IS 4 is more useful. If you like RNG, the British FV 4005 has premium HESH rounds that will... Damn near one shot most tanks if you can penetrate, and the Super Conqueror is a hill humping nightmare machine, and the Tortoise or Badger are both Armored beasts with some. Of the highest dpm VZ 55 with the single shot gun in the Czech tree Ho-ri 3 in Japanese line. Big gun, big armor, more maneuverable than the Jagdpanzer e100 The 60tp in Poland, and the CS-63 are both fun, 60 has a big gun and good armor, cs is fast as fugg boi, and lastly.. The Italian Minotauro. The best armored front for hulldown brawling in the game
It's nice to see a different variety of game every now and then. Feels like a nice breath of fresh air. :) Hope you, Tiny and everyone reading this has a fantastic Merry Christmas! 💙
I really liked this game, but stopped playing a few years ago. The thing is, the game is entertaining and fair until you reach tier V-VI tanks. Then it becomes a nightmare to level up anything, a unending grindfest where you almost do no damage to the enemies, because you don't have premium ammo, need to buy upgrades for your current tank via the unending grind, you don't have repair kits so you can't make any mistake, and the game puts you almost only against higher tier tanks than you (VII-VIII), so your shots don't ever penetrate their armor, and if they do you just scratch their health. I was focusing on german tank destroyers, because I wanted to play the jagdpanther, but when I reached the previous tier I had to ultimately leave the game. I was not a bad player, but no matter how many games I played, I was only a burden to my team because I wasn't able to confront any enemies. I was having some problems already confronting the same tier tanks as me, but there was one or two tops from the enemy team every game, if any. It finally became boring to play, I wasn't having fun as when I was playing at lower tier fights and what I did actually mattered, and no matter how much I tried to play I wasn't accomplishing any real progress to advance to the next tier... So yeah, this game is great when you are gifted an account like Ohm here with whatever tank you want to play with, premium items, premium experience, pay-to-win full covered... but if you want to play without paying, you'll have a great time until tier V-VI (depending on your tank choices, I guess it may be not as hard if you play heavy tanks) and then you'll feel the same way I described.
Aiming too high bud, go for the lower plate on the front end, that's always the weakest plate.. Look up videos on how to hill peek, side scrape, or scraping with the front as your lead. All depends on your tank. Example being the IS7 vs a Maus.. If you are the Maus, you want to side scrape. Make people bounce off the side. If you are the IS7, you need to face your enemy head on, but protect your lower plate with a hill. E100, side scrape. Waffle, bait the front plate at a sharp angle leading with the front end. Grille, hide like a mfer and run away instantly when spotted. T10E3, head on, but rock back and forth and don't push too far ahead of your team. Bat chat, sneak shots and run or time an ambush with a team-mate. For heavy tanks, the main idea is always to keep the shape in mind. If you have a big box shape, scrape with with the front or side. Sharp angled lower tanks with round turrets, you want to look for hills where your gun depression is at use
