    Giving Martha's Truck Justice: ruclips.net/video/w1EwNBUCgts/видео.html
    Remember Man of Steel and that scene where Jonathan Kent tells Clark that "maybe" he should've let those kids die? Did you know that same truck comes back for Zack Snyder's Justice League? It's actually an incredibly emotional inclusion to the Snyder Cut.

    The one thing I took away from the movie about the Batmobile was the sound when it starts up in the alley. It looked cool in the garage but the car came to life with the low burble of V8 mixed with the high pitched whine of turbine, just so awesome. It immediately turned from a prop to an actual character when it starts up!!!

A bunch of people on the cinema gasped, including me. My friend asked why, I pointed the engine. Great research. I read where all the shots they did with the flames (coming out the rear and the engine bay in the front) were filmed using the electric car to avoid flammable gasoline. I'm guessing from a design perspective they wanted the rear engine to power the "jet Engine turbine" and the front engine was the standard V-8 driving the vehicle. At least that is why it made sense to me to have two engines.

    • @mickray3202
      @mickray3202 2 года назад +5

      That was kind of my take-away from the movie: that the car must have a big V8 in front that is the main driving power to the wheels (exhaust flames under the hood), and the rear engine is supposed to be more of a jet engine for strategic power boosts, like jumping the car thru the flaming semi truck. But what really matters is that THIS Batmobile in THIS chase scene was a huge adrenaline rush and played out almost like a scene from a horror movie.

    Best cinema Batmobile EVER! Makes total sense that this Batmobile is very basic in comparison to previous Batmobiles. It’s very raw, à la Mad Max. Since this is his 2nd year as the Bat. I love that it’s crude and brute. Because everything is still a learning experience and Bruce Wayne is all emotional temperament. Not sophisticated nor knowing the advantage he can have by embracing or using his Wayne legacy. And you can see it in the Batmobile. I know it’s pure fiction. But it’s great that they can make a believable and practical vigilante Batmobile.

    Regarding the steering wheel, there are several enthusiast companies that custom machine steering wheels (and other company) out of aluminum like Evodindustries and Sparktech, so being that a steering wheel would be very prominent in POV shots, I’d guess it was custom made for whatever look the designer wanted, either in-house or outsourced to a fab shop like the ones mentioned .

    TWO BAT EARS ALL THE WAAAAAAY UP! That's how you do a youtube break down video on a fictional car! Confirmed what I believed about the BATMOBILE being a 68/69/70 DODGE CHARGER. After all, WARNER BROS. produced BULLET(with STEVE McQUEEN), BATMAN and THE DUKES OF HAZZARD! So wouldn't be surprised if the new BATMOBILE was originally a left over GENERAL LEE. Great freakin BAT-JOB brother!

    What I love about this batmobile is how it's the perfected manifestation of Batman's rage. Weapons, technology, and various gadgets are both cool and a staple of Batman's wheeled arsenal. But there's something terrifyingly awesome about a batmobile simplified to the point it's a predator that just runs and roars.

    Don't forget, apparently this is 2 years into Batman's "career". Still a pretty dope batmobile for 2 years in.

    Great job on the video. This was my first time watching your channel and I dug it. I'm a huge fan of Batsy and cars. I was happily surprised to see they went with an IRS vs a straight axle and could or airbags in the rear.

    I saw a test video of this prototype Batmobile running through a road course and one can tell the front engine was powering the car and the rear engine was just along for the ride. I really love this car and its design. looks great on film.

  • @heathmorris6100
    @heathmorris6100 2 года назад +2

    Could it be that the car was supposed to have 2 engines? The front provides power to the front wheels and electricity for the car and the rear acts as a sort of over-power mode driving the rear wheels when speed and 4wd is needed?

      You easily see this Batmobile turning more comic book inspired car while retaining the real life flare and sound of a suped up muscle car. Arkham games inspire shit I love it

    I still do not fully understand. Is there two engines on the car? One in the front and one in the back?

  • @SnoopyCoupe
    @SnoopyCoupe 2 года назад +1

    Psssst! there's an alternator on the rear engine. It's right there on the passenger side. The pulley is facing *forward* to interface with the serpentine belt. Some OEMs actually do it this way for packaging. It's literally in the shot where you're saying that "power isn't being generationer by an alternator." :P

    • @SnoopyCoupe
      @SnoopyCoupe 2 года назад +1

      One more note - if you remove the balance bar between the two brake pedals on the running car, I wonder if you get steering brakes consistent with a dune buggy?

    There's an alternator facing backwards on the right hand side of the Hemi. It would line up with the other pullies if we could get up close and see.

    Seeing the movie it looked like the normal engine was in the front and the rear one was not a piston engine but a jet engine in disguise. The car is great as it blends in a little more than other batmobiles.

    Josh, you did a splendid job with this video. Entertaining, informative, and captivating. I am astounded at the amount of research you have done. I, too love the rawness of the vehicles and his suit. They definitely fit the year two feel of a Batman new in his career. I saw the film in a standard, non IMAX version and the sound of the Batmobile nearly blew my eardrums out. I can only imagine it in IMAX. I noticed how his bikes were different in plain, everyday reconnaissance to the last shots of he and Selina playing cat and mouse on his Batcycle. By the way, that was a sweet Stingray at the funeral.
    Lastly, I have been a Bats fan for most of my 55 years and this film I thought captured an early feel of his career better than even Nolan’s Batman Begins. Although, this is a supposed, year two version, it felt a lot like the Year One comic in its presentation. Just a raw, stripped down, adaptation of a totally unpolished, Dark Knight. Even having the non-playboy Bruce persona was a welcomed sight.
    Again, I enjoyed your video and look forward to your next one.

      @@CinemotiveShopcraft None, that I can think of off hand. I have been a car aficionado since I was a kid. My late father drove a 57 Chevy and I just love good ole fashioned American muscle. Most of the guys in my youth and their older brothers had Torinos, Mustangs, Camaros, and a lot of Chevy Novas. I, too had a 77 Camaro. I still get chills looking at the Bullitt and Seven Ups chase scenes with the late Bill Hickman.

    (I’ve always had a fixation on the 2nd Gen Chargers. Hopefully getting my project next year), I’m so into cars that oftentimes I’ve been told I might as well speak Chinese lmao.
    I make these anecdotes because this video satisfied that part of me that’s finnicky when looking at cars and components. I was shocked to see the sub count didn’t have an M at the end. You just got yourself another subscriber man, good stuff.
