Few wilderness/hiking channels as good as this one. Beautiful as ever. Edited to perfection. Thanks for all you do! Always a pleasure to tag along vicariously.
Thank you! I am so glad that you enjoy them and keep coming back for the next adventure. I have a love / hate relationship with making these videos. It takes me longer than it should, but I cannot seem to keep myself from making them.
Nice video. Thanks. I especially liked the ending! I just spent the night in the Eagle Cap Wilderness (5/29/19). When I got up to 6,000', I was on top of 8 feet of snow. Solid snow. I had to go back down to 5500' to find a bare spot flat enough to sleep. It rained during the day and most of the night. But I still loved it.
Wow! That is a lot of snow. We've been talking about the Eagle Caps a lot. We're hoping to get in there, if not this year, next year. Thanks for the info! Looks like it might be a while before we can get in there.
I’ve camped in that exact same spot next to Taylor River. I love how much Moss there is around that little area. If you go up to the top of the Quartz creek road. The Road splits off keep following it straight until it ends. Just a little ways through the woods there is a little lake. I don’t think it has a name. No one ever goes up there. I’ve been up there a couple of times and never seen anyone. Just passed the first big tree a little ways up you’ll find an old logging road that goes to the left. There’s an old mine back there that is gated off. Not sure if there’s any more adults in that area but it looks like there might be from the map that I have. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Nice! For me that is something that I associate with the Cascades, but sounds like I would love the South Appalachians. I hope I get to walk some of the trails at some point.
Hello! Welcome aboard! My dog's name is Timber. He has turned in to a great trail. You'll find him in most of our videos. Thanks for coming along with us!
Another great video. Looks like you all enjoyed yourselves in that beautiful place. I had a Homer Simpson moment (DOH!) when I saw you used corks for starting the campfire. Do they really work that well? If so, I know what I'll bring along when the kids and I head into the Boundary Waters this August.
Those corks were soaked in alcohol, but sadly they did not work very well. I didn't soak them so I'm not sure how they did it, but they didn't take off like we hoped.
Yeah unfortunately that area gets a little over hiked because people don’t want to fight the crowds up the I 90 Corredor trails. The middle Fork is getting crowded though I counted 172 cars along side the road passing mailbox Peak one day. And the next hike that gets the most use is heading up past where you were camped out. 98% of the people are going to otter Falls. It’s only 4 miles up the trail but past there you don’t see very many people you can still go to Hester lake Snoqualmie myrtle lake in a couple of others. Beautiful up there I like that area.
Yeah, I was amazed at how many cars there were at the mailbox trailhead. And there were people who had to park past it and were walking back when we went up.
Fantastic. Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you for taking the time to check it out!

That was a beautiful spot
It really was, I wish I would've got a shot from up on the trail cause it just looked like a huge green carpet with a campsite in the middle of it.
That Quartz Creek trail looks like good butterfly habitat.
I'll take your word on that one.
Beautiful forest. I've rerouted mid trip for the same reasons. Glad it worked out.
It can be a bummer, but just something you have to deal with in that part of the Cascades now. Thanks for checking it out!

yeah, that is a great spot. I couldn't walk past it. I definitely want to go further up the Quartz Creek trail. Thanks for the intel!
timber and his stick!!
He is a constant source of entertainment!
Your video quality is amazing and I really enjoy your videos as I have gone to or plan to go to several of the same locations.
Thank you! That is great! I hope that there is something information in there that helps you plan your next trip!
Wanless Lake
Done it!
All the moss; could've been the higher elevations of the Southern Appalachians. Great video of a fun trip!

Great video brother. Awesome cinematography and narration as always.
Thanks! It was a fun quick trip.

That looked like a totally relaxing trip and just what would be needed to recharge the batteries. Timber looks good. Take care, Al
Thanks, Al! It was all of that. It was great to get to spend some time with those guys too.

What camera setup are you using in this video? Looks great!
In this video there were a couple different iPhone's used and a GoPro as well.
