Whoever came up with the ideia to make this channel deserved a prise, really, THIS is the kind of famous "influencer" we should have on the internet because not only you guys show the reality of how dangerous an ocean can be, but also teaches sooo much about the signs there're in the beach. Since as a child I never knew what those flags and signs ment and no one ever had the patience (or the knowledge too) to explain it to me, but thanks to this channel I now know I did a few wrong things on the beach back then, which I won't do anymore, ofc. And plus, you guy, even with language barrier, tries to explain and direct the swimmers to a safe spot, such respect for that!

I almost drowned twice, once at 13 off the coast of Puerto Rico, where a friend and I were rescued by a stranger's boat. Once again at 25 in another location when I went back to visit. Rips are really dangerous. It is good to see there are actually lifeguards that do this job. Here in Florida, we have recently had several drownings, but the coastal areas don't invest in a lifeguard service. It is sad. Bondi lifeguards are heroes in my book.

Major props to all the surfers and other bystanders that offered to help with the double patients. Instead of just standing and watching they helped by carrying them or helping with the CPR. It's scary and people that aren't trained tend to freeze up when seeing people like that (a normal response) so props to those people that fought through that response and lent a hand.

Just discovered and have been binging Bondi Rescue, love it! Especially since as a "Mountain Boy" i fear the Ocean, so i also learn a lot for when i go visit some day!
I also work in Rescue but here in the Alps in Europe, mostly regarding Mountaineering and of course Ski and Snowboarders. But just like you get People who can't swim at Bondi Beach we get a lot of Tourists who shouldn't be in difficult Mountain Terrain and the past few Years we've gotten more and more Tourists wanting to get great Footage or Photos near Cliffs for their Social Media Audience and then slip, luckily they often get away with a few broken Bones "only" but sometimes it sadly ends up worse.
Either way, fantastic Job and it was fascinating to see how Water Rescue works! I'll definitely come visit Bondi Beach some Day!
Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps

I once saved a kid from drowning by accident when I was about 10 years old. We were swimming at a popular lake during spring, lots of parents & families around. I was standing in the water with just my head above the water when I felt hands grab my arm underwater, I got scared and pulled my arm up, and a whole child appeared! He was clasping onto me like a cat trying to get out of a bathtub ans I started walking to the shore immediately. I held him up and he puked water over my back. I got to shore and nobody was looking for him, but my mom saw what happened and took the kid to the front desk to call an ambulance. All I know is he survived.

Well done on that one, hope your all doing okay headspace wise. if you think about the statistics on cpr/defib recovery, you do an amazing job.
man that double rescue....... that has to weigh on you so hard. the what ifs. the could i have done more. the 'what if the older defib could have done something' came into my head cause you know people have come back from random shocks/electrical pulses.... but as they say, what ifs will end you.
they did the job, they did it well (amazingly considering how bad that spot was) and risked their lives to do it. Watching the 3-4 boards and 5-6 guys trying to bring in the bigger bloke whos unconcious was hard to watch because it wouldve been hell. plus the risk of getting your head smacked by the boards (i think one of them actually did looking at it...) 100kg + of 'passed out' weight is so much harder to move then a person who can help you even a little.

As someone who cannot see their hand in front of their face~~Bless that sweet soul ❤. I have always hated swimming. When I was young I couldn’t even find my family or friends so it wasn’t fun ya know? Then I got contacts which are GREAT for me 99.9999999% of the time BUT if any waves etc hit those eyes pshhh might as well be trying to wear my glasses to start lol 😆 🤷‍♀️

You guys do an awesome job! People ought to take responsibility for themselves, the least they can do is read your signs and obey them. Today you brought someone from certain death. It's more than anyone could expect. God bless you.

Unfortunately more people than not who go there don't read or speak English therefore they don't know what the signs say
