- "B12" is the first track on the album "…No Sun Today". The song was released as a radio single.
Sean Dowdell (on LPAssociation Chat 15 April 2003):
"Chester wrote the lyrics to that when he was 12. it was his first lyrically complete songs. Mace and I were screwing around with the music and Chester just came in and started singing the parts, it just fit. The chorus we couldn’t find words to put there so Chester just started saying hooray hoorah and we loved it…"
Sean Dowdell (on Linkin Park World Chat 25 April 2003):
"Yes, we had 2 hit songs, B12 and Anything, Anything"
Kerry Rose (The Grey Daze Story 6 October 2015):
"The album was a huge success, scoring a local radio hit with "B12". We were now drawing up to 1,500 people to a show at the Electric Ballroom."

That last hoorah he does every time is fucking awesome
Me listening to the background music bobbing along to it
Me dad: you know what this songs about right?
Me: yeah and im dancing to it either way not everyone blind to what happen but people rather not remember it
My dad: alright good
heard this on octane the other day, bummed its not on spotify, but glad I could find it here
If I remember right I think Grey Daze is releasing it there soon with the new stuff
It's released yesterday!!
@@cedriccool7489 I think it's just the new version on spotify now
Have to say I like the original the most! The guitar on this is great!
Korn's Muny and Head input really made this song sound more deep and thoughtful. People will love it once they hear it.
This is the old version
@@guillaumeellby1859 This is why my comment states: people WILL love it ONCE they HEAR IT. ?
yup
but the hooray hoorah part stays right
@Geoff Lupton Guys, are you serious? Read the comment carefully. No one said it is.
I like this version better than the new one.
Yeaahh, the new version is not rock
@@acamiloa what do you mean? The new version is certainly rock. This is more grunge.
This one sounds grunge to me, and the new one is more alternative rock, I don't know about you, but I like both of them lol
I like this version also more!!
Nick Luna i dont dislike the new version it’s just the vocals are very fast tempo and the music doesn’t match it, I just feel it kills the power of his voice a little.
But in this original version the vocals and music are on point.
Just my opinion.
GRACIAAAAS, ESTUVE BUSCANDO TANTO ESTA VERSIÓN. ;_;
take any version I can get any gray daze any DBS,any lp any shinoda, iam not picky when it's good music keep putting it out thank u guys lp4life DBS4life,Gdz4life,thank u CHESTER BENNINGTON FOR WHAT U GAVE US
Sounds great, thank you, I love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The two versions are amazing and diferent from each other but i preffer the new one, is more deep and dark
I love both, but i prefer this version.
Hmm I prefer the older version in every song of them
@@gabrielaino320 I like the older versions more. Except:
1. She Shines, i don't like Wake Me version.
2. Just Like Heroin, the ...No Sun Today version is very good, i could say it is my favorite song on the album, but with Amends version it was made 20 times better.
3. Soul Song, the ...No Sun Today version is also good, but in my opinion the Amends version gives me a much better feeling.
4. Sickness, in my opinion i don't like the ...No Sun Today version, i prefer the Amends version.
5. In Time, Amends version is much better for me, although it is a pity that they have eliminated the "What's in me, it's in you, what's got me, it's got you" part.
Poser
@@sndrpaw6197 can you tell me why?
I prefer this version of B12 more. I just think the instrumentals fit the vocals WAY better in the chorus than in the new one. But I still love what the band is doing and I’m excited!
this version is so much better then the new, i could say that for most of the songs
Chester was on hella drugs while with this band
The lyrics say it all
I mean he said in interviews back then he was trippin on acid all day.. and you can tell for sure oof
Wasn't he 12 when he wrote this song?
I mean, it's not unheard of but I would assume that he got into drugs around 15 or so
@@breakfaith3031 I think he met the guys at 15
@@oceanstaiga5928 yes but he wrote this song long before.
I also did some research and learned that he got into drugs when he was 11
He was 12 when he wrote this. It's about how fucked up society was and the military using unnecessary force and stuff as well. It's surprisingly relevant to today. Also, "big fat chicks" is actually "big fat checks" as in government care packages and war bonds I believe.
the new version is more agressive and this is more fun.
I like the new version better but this is great too.
I almost can't believe this is the same song as the amends version! And the vocals especially I can't believe it's the same vocal tape!
Great song
I love both versions but the new version a little bit more
Se o instrumental da nova versão fosse usada na época, pode ter certeza que essa música teria estourado nas paradas!
Nice
this version is like Hybrid theory "pushing me away" (which is good 6/10)
the new version (munky+head) is like reanimation "P5hng Me A*wy" (way more better 8/10)
kinda like upgrade for me
The original is a awesome grunge track with so much attitude! The remake doesn't fit the vocal performance and just feels bland and like a rejected Korn c-side instrumental
B12 new version is better than the original
But imo Pushing Me Away > P5hng Me A*wy
This b12 reminds me the dinosaurs
I prefer the Korn version!
Basically we didn’t start the fire side story or part 2
Quien en el 2024?
Sinto que o instrumental não se encaixam tão bem quanto na nova versão..
Com certeza,a nova versão tá foda demais com esse som novo!
It sounds like they were trying to do the reanimation thing like LP did. Didn’t care too much for the new one.
LP rocked with reanimation
Actually he says hooray hoorah 9x
Emmm no . _.
@@extendedlyrics2400 yeeeees he does did u count😐
@@thereallestat666 Yes, i counted, they are 8. Recount them if possible!.
@@extendedlyrics2400 ive done that 20 times

If chester and billie from greenday switched places
Where is the korn version?
Amends version?. I can't upload it yet.
The song performed by Grey Daze ft Head will be released tomorrow
Its officially out today.
The re-recording ruined this so bad 😫
I disagree
i really disagree
Get some life bro
Agreed
I totally disagree!
