- Iron Maiden - Remember Tomorrow
Album: Iron Maiden
Year: 1980
Lyrics:
Unchain the colours before my eyes,
Yesterday's sorrows, tomorrow's white lies.
Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,
I shall return from out of fire.
Tears for rememberance, and tears for joy,
Tears for somebody and this lonely boy.
Out in the madness, the all seeing eye,
Flickers above us, to light up the sky.
Unchain the colours before my eyes,
Yesterday's sorrows, tomorrow's white lies.
Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,
I shall return from out of fire. - Видеоклипы
According to Paul Di’anno, ‘Remember Tomorrow’ is about his relationship with his father.
It has also been said by Paul Di’Anno that the song was a tribute to his grandfather and that “Remember Tomorrow” was a phrase he used.
Thank you for sharing this information.
According to Paul Di'Anno, the title and concept of this song came from his grandfather. Di'Anno told us: "I lost him in 1980, when I was on tour. He was a diabetic. They cut off his toe and his heel, then he lost his leg from the knee down, and he just sort of gave up.
Ko😅
One of the most melancholy song of Iron Maiden. When I listen to this song I connect it to my best friend who unfortunately we haven't heard from each other for months. I miss you my friend, I never forgot our memories.
In fact this song is dedicated for a friend.
Have you heard from your friend yet?
@@bradreigel4728Now we are again friends ❤️
Another melancholic song is prodigal son from the 2nd album, Killers.
Classical Maiden.
Eddie looked so young back then
haha nice one
So true hahahaha.
Not rlly xD
Bwaahaahaa
Eddie was in GBH back then.
The bass , the drums , the guitar , the Vocals .... Its just amazing
One of my all time favorite songs!!! Reminds me of my early teenage years...
SueTheBoss boss lady ✌️
Yes, big time.....all time favorit 🥰
Same here. 😃🤘
Indeed
Best music era there was it'd be nice to go back one more day.
Masterpiece!!!
This is the Maiden I prefer the most, Raw, fast and rock'n roll but still melodic and atmospheric in parts.
Yup, Paul really brought a punk edge to Iron Maiden. I can't stand to listen to them with Bruce Dickinson.
Johan S tbh i love them with bruce but if i had to choose i’d have to say that paul is better
Carrie Rose-Burton-Murray-Stanley-Hetfield agreed, man
So many levels to their first two albums
I personaly prefer first two albums but understand direction they went and like that stuff too. This song - is my personal favourite.
RIP Clive Burr, we will never forget you , you are a beast of a drummer! Damn man, why clive!?
After 35 years of loving Maidens music this is still my favourite song.Glad I got to see them with D'anno.First two albums still the best
+Spike B killers was indeed a metalicious album.
A band does change its sound ever so subtlely when any one member leaves & is replaced.Whether or not thats a good thing is & ever shall be subjective.I prefer to look at maiden through different eras based on the bands various incarnations over the years, & every one has something of a different flavor, although still very familiar.Ive come to consider them like blowjobs, there are no bad ones, but some are better than others.
I was 4 years old when they played at Rainbow's
i was about the same LOL - listening since 1990 - and just saw them in VA june 3 - One of the highlights of my life : )
I'm also glad that they recorded it with Paul DiAnno. I can't believe that Iron Maiden's fans who consider Bruce as better singer than Paul, wish two first albums were recorded with Bruce Dickinson. OMG, it would be a profanation
Still one of Maiden's best songs ever.
After all these years still believe is the best metal ballad of all time.
I love maiden but slayer is my favorite
@@jamilrashard6345 yeah man I love that slayer ballad where they talked about brains blowing up, what an emotional masterpiece
@@zogames8659😂😂😂
Paul Di'Anno... Simply awesome \,,/
nonono its not like this \../ but like this \m/
:-)
Adilson Nascimento Silva anything after Dianno is crap!
Adilson Nascimento Silva I totally agree with you ...Paul here is outstanding.....just from another planet...
MISTER DABILINA Bruce is crap?? What are you talking about?? You have no idea about music...
As much as I love Bruce, there's no denying that Paul was a genius.
I am amazing. Agree
AGREED X2
Paul was a good singer...Bruce is the best...
As a maiden fan, I cannot simply dismiss one singer for another, I like all three, they each brought something positive to the band.
love this track i would say the hidden gem on the iron maiden debut album. dark fun, and prog rock mixed with metal you could say with his song. a metal gem.
I love it! And it is one of my bro's faves from #IRONMAIDEN
for me the hidden gem is strange world, but i think the entire first album is just unreal good
I agree, Strange World is the hidden gem in this album.
Greatness. A song Bruce actually cannot sing. His voice doesn't suit it. Pure Di'anno gold right here...
+Marc Hoyland bruce can sing this better than Di ano, he cnat sing punky songs like wrathchild however
ThreeDaysOfDan That's not really true. Check the supposed 'audition' tape that Bruce did with Maiden and he Gillans the shit out of that song (wrathchild)! On songs like this he overdoes it and soils what made it special.
Bruce ruins everything singed by Paul
Marc Hoyland I love Bruce but I've yet to hear him successfully sing any of Paul's songs.
He can't sing as good but he's doing ok with this song and Phantom. Can't imagine Paul singing Bruce era stuff either. In fact it'd probably much worse than Bruce singing this.
Paul φωνάρα μου!!!!! Di Anno forever!!!! LOVE PAUL 4EVER!!!
Κορυφη ο Ντι Αννο εδω! Di Anno rocks!
I love this song, up the Irons!
up the maidens!!
E io amo te
It's understandable how Maiden kicked on when they recruited Bruce and then produced a classic in The Number of the Beast but the first 2 albums still stand up and had some absolute gems on them. This song remains one of my all time favourites; so much power and emotion.
Iron Maidens debut album was the very first thing I ever bought by the band and so will always hold a special place for me.
Best Maiden Song ever.....and that is saying ALOT!
+Niemand Nowhere well said
+Niemand Nowhere Do you mean that Hallowed be thy Name, Fear of the Dark and Wasted Years aren't good songs?
+King Mida i doubt he is saying that but for me also all though i love so many this song is my fav, don't know why exactly just speaks to me, more than the rest and more than other songs too, always find myself revisiting this song
Lol that profile pic tho
When you sing iron maiden and your baby sister continues the lyrics 👌🏿❤️
raise her well..... I feel like metal is being pushed out by edm and pop music and babbling hip hop. please for the love of god... keep that girl a metal fiend.
That's awesome
+Justin Sears hehe I love ur comment.
Christina .H8sYou your comment is hope for metal.Amen to that 👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I hate babies!
talks about take drugs for escape from a death or life sorrows in general..and find your self fight with "tomorrow white lies" and bring yourself the "hell fire" that you created. very deep for who wanna understand. remember tomorrow, there's always a hope, don't waste yourself.
your obviously too young to understand that yesterdays sorrows will cause tomorrows white lies.
we learn from our mistakes and try to protect our young.
as we get older - our blame turns to shame.
sometimes we forsake hope. and hope the young will learn in time.
sacrifice is what this song is about.
remember tomorrow
i'm 28. my father's dead at 11,i took some drugs. had love sorrows as all ,so i can speak.
by hearings all songs theres no sadness about or blame about afterall, dont evermistaken all songs meaning is and would let u to somes harms, its just entertainments and or just a moments of fantasies, real facts is lives should always takecare of ourself :) 👍
@@wazirtan6801man, music for me is one of the major few things that matters among the silly bullshit chaos here and there! Lol
Oh the cold winter memories so many moons ago still lighting my path today
one word........ Brilliant
Two words. Fucking Brilliant!
aye .
The Softer verse sections sound amazing. They kind of remind me of the Judas priest song Beyond the realm of death.
We will remember you tomorrow and all days Clive. R.I.P
Fucking great song and great Dynamics. Soft to loud . Love it

Unchain the colours before my eyes,
Yesterday's sorrows, tomorrow's white lies.

Underrated Maiden song
Yes Bruce has a great voice but I will always dig the Diano era of Maiden the most!!!!
This song is somehow one of Iron Maiden's softer and heavier songs at the same time
Maiden is mostly like that! Even emotionally high or low
I love the atmosphere of the late 70s in the first two albums
Me too. The debut album was actually recorded in 1979 and released in '80.
my favorite iron maiden song !!!
You are SHAKIRA!! JAJAJAJAJ
Christian Marin ?
HistoryArchiver why?
HistoryArchiver wtf?
@@christianmarinjamen huh?
Bruce is an amazing singer but sometimes he's just too much for me. Paul's voice was so incredible. Imagine if he wasn't booted.
Thank you Metallica, I'm a damn fool walking around with an Iron Maiden shirt having not listened to some of these gems. I think I might buy this album.
TheSamuraiApocalypse Did you buy it? The first two albums are the best from Maiden lMO.
Opeth did a cover of this too a while back, I recommend it, it’s hella groovy
It's the best iron maiden's album!
TheSamuraiApocalypse what a coincidence! Me too! 😁
Poser
The more you listen to this album the better it gets.
Canção singular. Dos primórdios. Vale muito, vale demais.
grew up on this best maiden album of them all
Agreed.
Bought this album when it was first released in 1980, after listening to the Metal for Muthas compilation.
First 2 albums are like a complete other band. I love both Maidens. But find myself listening to those Paul DiAnno albums alot. I was raised on this stuff!!
I agree. Early maiden was the biz. Di,anno had a grt voice. R.i.p. clive burr.
No not complete other band lol
i love old school
yes first two albums the best
Paul's vocals are my favorite albums.Bruce elevated the entire effort to forge an entirely different Maiden.
Back when Iron Maiden had anger and Beauty...I am biased....I prefer the Di'anno time it had more relevance
Bruce sang many great songs too but i feel like the first two albums are the best
beautiful voice di anno
For decades i've been a very mild Iron Maiden fan. Always impressed with song composition, but something didn't seem right or whole. Now i know why, they were all dickenson songs. Now i'm a huge Maiden fan and i know to listen to Paul's songs!
my favorite song of the first album
Up the irons
This is super grunchy yet totally gothic. Amazing vibrations.
RIP Clive . We'll never forget you.
What a great song, takes me back quite a few years. I grew up listening to this album.
2019?
GREAT SONG! MASTERPIECE!

Great song.
"Clive Burr!"
Beautiful song...
I love this song.
Best song by Maiden EVER
R.I.P. Clive Burr :(♥
People whining over Di'anno this Bruce that... one of my favourite songs is the clansman and that was with Blaze... Basically my point is Maiden is Maiden and i love it all you all should to. All the singers have been part of iconic songs..
Clansman was one of the best in my opinion. I agree with you 100%, but people love to fight.
+Jon Sheen Great point bro! And.....The Clansman is def killer!
Well said
Very very very true! And besides the singer, I concentrate on the music. The melodies, rhythms, leads, bass-line etc... the whole arrangement, not just the singer is what makes the songs.
And like you said, all maiden is relevant. Period!
Maiden is Steve Harris, not a guy upfront with the mic.
Di'anno rocked! I still love the first two Maiden albums. There's some great music on these two that Dickinson just can't quite recreate. I love Dickinson's voice, but some of these songs just seem crafted around Di'anno's voice!
Great Paul Di Anno !
This is the best iron maiden album by far IMO!!!!!
RIP Clive Burr !!
Classic, delicious Maiden.
I love this song
One of their best songs I think
UFO - Doctor Doctor intro XD
The first 2 albums with Paul were the best.
Don't fuck Bruce
I don't think so mate, when Bruce join the band up the irons Paul was a drug addict mate, and bruce awesome voice
Pavel Ordonez I. Some dimensions lord shaggy travelled in that isn’t the case
Yes when blaze came in went down hill in bruse came back
@@pavelordonez6773 mate the songs from the first two albums are the best so stfu
sexy
Seriously great song, different from other Maiden offerings. I think this really showed diversity in the band. One of the most underrated songs I’ve heard from them!
One of my favorite Iron Maiden songs
Great song great album 😊
Iron Maiden Rules!
who gives a flying fuck who covered this song!!!!! Iron Maiden is the fucking foundation of this awesome masterpiece of a song !!!
I saw them in pub in London in 1979! £1
I member tomorrow.
Un classico non solo del metal ma di tutta la musica Rock.
almost sounds like Judas Priest, then the classic Maiden kicks in. Love it!
I love iron maiden since I first seen them 1983
Just brilliant! 🤘😎
one classic epic
Opeth do a fantastic cover of this. Well worth a listen.
The Opeth version is good but a little bit too fast for my liking, the vocals are very good though.
have a listen to the Metallica cover brother.
sorry guys I thought both the metallica & the opeth version were lacking
Somehow it's more than amazing, I don't think the word for their cover has been invented yet.
anthrax actually covered it greatly and i could say, even better

Up the Iron🤘
Oh que oui ...c'est une chanson magnifique ❤

Un morceau que Paul avait écrit pour son grand-père...Ça se ressent énormément dans les parties calmes du morceau.

Ótima fase do Paul e Clive, gosto demais desse álbum. 😃
Remember Clive...
F^cking hell, this is a masterpiece!
R.I.P Clive!!! UP THE IRONSSSS!!!
the best drummer in our times
The version I have of this song, the audio just cuts off at 1:43 and picks back up at 2:26, thought my receiver or speakers just broke all of a sudden so came here to check the song. I guess I have a bad version. Also mines only 4:05 minutes long lol, guess it's a crap version we downloaded from the Napster days. LOL.
The most powerful ballad in the metal history .this is the song creating the iron maiden legacy.and became legend for forever.
Paul Di Anno Rules! 😃😉😎👍
Puta que pariu vou comprar um cartão de 300 GB só pra baixar essas músicas mano aaaaaaaaahhhh***
🤘🤙
I prefer the Di'Anno era. But its not because I think he is a better singer. I love Bruce and Paul, they both have different styles and suit Maiden very well. But the reason I like Di'Anno era more is because of the actual music.. The intro to Murders in the Rue Morgue, the intro to Killers, the solo on Strange World, everything about Transylvania. I just think the instruments are better. (Not forgetting the awesome vocals of Paul of course)
