Rimfire rifle is a low cost entry point, and a gateway to centrefire rifle and pistol. Bjj, boxing and muay thai is more widely available and cheaper again. In any case, a competitive but supportive environment is super healthy for you and needs to be part of your life. Get amongst it.

Last spring, my dad asked me if I wanted to go shoot at this "all-day event is a combination of IDPA-style scenario shoots and basic tactical training". We went, had a great time.. and then started shooting at the local friendly Friday night steel matches throughout the summer. Excited to start this season in May, I tell all my friends it's like a bowling league with your dad but with guns lol.
