The only thing you can get is the research capsules every time you encounter a Twisted on random elevator floors. If you get enough, you can cheese the research, and from there, wait for 10 mins before equipping a new Toon. It's simple, but hard to master, but as a fellow starter player of the game, it'll get easier.
Every five floors, the weight for main characters increases by 4. So, basically, farther floors have higher chance to spawn twisted Astro than earlier ones.

How can you color your toons?
You can get skins by completing their mastery
Each toon has their own set of mastery quests, i already completed mine
