Why are so many people complaining about the food you ate? Holidays are supposed to be full of good food and good memories ☺️ I really enjoyed this video, I always find it interesting to see what people think of the food in our country ☺️ p.s. I love fish and chips too!
What a delightful video! We are heading to Scotland at the end of the month for a month. . .can't wait to try all the delightful foods! Thanks for sharing!
That was not ham on your breakfast it was bacon. In the UK ham comes either as a whole leg or sliced. Ham is cooked and put in sandwiches cold bacon rashers you buy uncooked and grill or try and serve within a cooked breakfast. In Italy you get pruscuto crudo which is raw and then has to be cooked and then the one that is cured and is eaten raw.
Hi Tami, I am leaving a comment because I am planning a trip later in the year to London, UK. I love going back to your old videos and I've watched all your vacation vlogs. I'm getting ideas for local English food and also what sweets to pick up.. this is so fun.
I just read that Hostess is coming out with frozen deep fried Twinkies. The article said for the first 3 months they will only be available at Wal-Mart. I hope to see you guys review these!
I wish American’s when coming to the UK would venture out of London. Each county has a lot of regional dishes that are amazing. We do more than fish and chips, English breakfasts and roast dinners.
my dad was Scottish and I was raised on the knee of everything Scottish including history. so when I was 35 I bought a one-way ticket and left for the UK. I spent much of my 10-plus years there living in the Scottish borders. it became came home and needless to say I want to go back. I have lived in many countries on several continents and I think I missed that the most although it could be neck-and-neck with Morocco but I think the UK is where I belong. usually a full English is all on one plate they don't use little cups and bowls at most hotels and not at home ever. I don't know where you were eating but it looks horrible. your full English is also missing tomatoes and whatever that pie is it supposed to be served with mushy peas not peas and carrots. they have a lot of great food to offer that's their own and it looks like you were getting English food for the most part. I am sure you had a good time though :-)
I love ❤️ England. It is so beautiful. I hope to go back someday and see all those pretty places I haven't visited I love Scotland and Ireland too but haven't been to either. You need to eat meat pies, pasties and beef pies with goodies in them. Nobody on this planet makes better savory pies than Britons!! I even got one at a chemists one time wrapped in a little package 📦 near the candy bars . It was just alittle thing that you would pick up like a bag of chips. The quality and flavor was AMAZING!!! It was 5 times better than any comparable snack that you would pick up in any American store. Fantastic stuff! I got hooked on the meat pies. The ones in restaurants were really wonderful. If any Brits, Scots or Irish are out there and can email me recipes for anything like this, I will remain your devoted friend. Lol
nice video, just so you know those thick triangle shaped fried potato things are called hash browns, and french fires are chips and chips are crisps, lol. also i was wondering you called the bacon, ham all the time I was just wondering is american bacon a different meat, or something? Hope you enjoyed our food,
I used to stay in Fl, am Welsh, now living in Scotland. American bacon ain't great, frequently it's cut too thin, not much variety of cuts either and my guess is the curing process is a rush job there. In case anyone wants a pop at my opinion, first off its an opinion and secondly I was in the food trade for years, so it ain't just a beer loaded patriotic grunt. Irish bacon is generally best, excellent stuff. If any of you USAers are ever visiting on the Stonehenge trail, on the topic of good bacon but especially bangers (sausages to you), try a detour through Ludgershall for Gardners the Butcher, BIG sausage selection there and 5 star quality ... their sausages are ... well worth that detour. [Sometimes you just gotta cook stuff yourself for it to have that extra special edge over buying the plate through waiting staff ... yannow ?]
"thick triangle shaped fried potato things are called hash browns" - It was a breakfast plate, possibly in Scotland, where we call them "tatty scones" (potato scones).
The pie and chips in the pub looked good. Pie and chips is classic pub food. I recommend fish and chips from fish and chip shops, particular when on the coast (or Yorkshire)
Absolutely LOVED the all-you-can-eat Scottish breakfast at McLay's guest house in Glasgow. I was there doing graduate research and very limited in money. If I stuffed myself at breakfast, I could skip lunch. Real money saver.
Hey Tami! I have planned a day trip out towards Hackney. I used google maps to pull up the closest restaurants, and it pulled up Nando's, and I remember you eating there. Would you recommend this place, or eat there again if you had the chance? Also I know it's a Chicken restaurant- I was curious if they had any chicken that was not so spicy? Everything I see online looks kind of hot to eat. Thank you- Jessica :)
I live in England and this video is making my mouth water lol 😂 I should really try all of this, I feel like I'm missing out. Great video, hope you guys get to visit again soon!
I always skipped over this video in my recommended because I thought I watched it already, but apparently I didn’t! If you ever decide to come out with T shirts for the channel, one of the shirts could have the words “cleaner lemon” on it, because that seems to be your catchphrase any time you guys try something lemon-flavored like that muffin! “Is it a cleaner lemon or a good lemon?”
The total for all restaurants and cafes was $300.71 (USD). This does not include food that we ate in the room like Mr. Kiplings cakes or the sandwiches from Tesco. Also, while we were on the coach tour, breakfast was included as well as three dinners.
That looks super indulgent. I imagine dieting would seem way out of the question. But I don't think I could pass up the fish & chips. Thought the gourmet ham hock at the end was really cute. Too bad it didn't have pinto's & cornbread. :)
Tami Dunn You only live once. One day I hope to go on a wonderful vacation outside the US with my family. Thanks for sharing your traveling experiences. :)
Everything looked so good! They do an excellent job with presentation. Every time I've seen the bread in England or Ireland (via SacconeJoly's :) I've always been so impressed, their bread looks fresher and more tasty.
yeah, fresh bread is really a big thing all over Europe, there is little or no preservatives or additives so the bread is bought and consumed within two days usually (also dairy produce).
Wow! You both ate a lot of hamburgers on your trip. All of it looked good except for your first meal on the plane. I am planning on going to Borough Market when I am there. Did you go?
jacqueline defriece depends what bacon you get. americans seem to just eat streaky bacon. but in the uk you get various cuts. if you want american style but streaky
Fabulous! :) If you ever come back, me and my boyfriend can put you guys up in a room if you wanna save money on a hotel (though obviously I understand you don't wanna accept sketchy offers from strangers on the internet haha). Anyway, I've been working my way through your videos the past couple of days. :) Love you and your family, you guys remind me of my own family here in Scotland, I wonder if Kentucky had any Scottish settlers. :D
Well here in Yorkshire as far as I have known we utilize Mint sauce to bring flavour to Mushy Peas. They are soapy and bland without a bit of spice. Mint is a better addition than vinegar which some people add.
Mint sauce is mainly served with roast lamb. I am British I travel all over the UK and I have never seen it served with mushy peas unless you ask for it.
That's the first time I ever seen an Irish Breakfast you look very good the food look real good but they could be a good serving that's what Americans get the biggest Orbeez pretty plentiful Yan and the English breakfast have quite familiar with it and seen it before they both look interesting
You ate a lot of fish and chips! Glad you enjoyed it over here. Next time you come you should stay on the south coast near the sea, that's where I live. Loads of fish and chip shops, and some beautiful scenery down here. Not that there isn't everywhere else in the UK as well, but I may be a bit biased :P
Tami Dunn I think you would love Hastings on the south coast of England. The site of the famous battle and a beautiful seaside resort. Its also close to Eastbourne, home of the pier that was burned down by a chip shop fire. It's also close to London and brighton. Stonehenge is a short drive (Car hire is very cheap.) And towns like Bournemouth are a nice day trip away. Hope you enjoy it. I spent a month visiting exactly these places and it was one of the best of my life. you won't regret it one bit.
That's brilliant Tami may be you should also try the Isle of Mann it is situated in the Irish sea between Liverpool and Belfast it is a British Island but has its own parliament and own currency its own court house and used to punish criminals by flogging with a strap until the European courts stepped in and stopped the flogging now crime is rife like the rest of Britain roll on Brexit
nicksynet France is full of great restaurants it's just that I notice Americans seem petrified of going outside tourist traps and eating where the French eat. When you say France did you mean Paris?
Tami Dunn Well no I just meant what would USDA meat be doing in England, kinda strange. It's like meat from Iceland being in out grocery store. It just struck me as odd but all the food looked good tho. Lol.
The airline food didn't look too bad, but I've never complained about bad airline food - it would just be too weird (I mean, you're traveling thousands of feet in the air at hundreds of miles an hour, doing something that lots of people will never get to do in their lives, and your going to complain about food?)
It took me couple days to get used to that food there. Even a coke tasted different to me. McDonalds was not the same as here in Tennessee but I didnt complain really.
Uk baked beans are not the same thing as US baked beans. 2 totally different products. If you were to try Uk beans for bbq it wouldnt taste the same, just as when trying american beans for breakfast doesng work. 2 different recipes are used to make them.

Thank you so much, Becca. We had a wonderful time and plan to return. Are you in London?
Hitogokochi
They’re on holiday. Get over it.
What a delightful video! We are heading to Scotland at the end of the month for a month. . .can't wait to try all the delightful foods! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Janet!
I stumbled across your videos this afternoon and have been thoroughly entertained!
What airline did you fly with to get real glasses on an airplane?
The crispy potato thing at breakfast is called a Hash Brown and the flat one is a potato scone or here in Scotland a tattie scone.
It is very good!
Tami Dunn yes very tasty
Going by the portions of your meals your eating in expensive places, and eating the same things you would eat back home or close to it.
Hi Tami, I am leaving a comment because I am planning a trip later in the year to London, UK. I love going back to your old videos and I've watched all your vacation vlogs. I'm getting ideas for local English food and also what sweets to pick up.. this is so fun.
How wonderful! I’m so happy for you!
I'm from the US and I have tons of family over there. Both outside of London and all over Scotland
Did you have some Black Pudding
I just read that Hostess is coming out with frozen deep fried Twinkies. The article said for the first 3 months they will only be available at Wal-Mart. I hope to see you guys review these!
We have been looking for them, but they don't have them here yet.
The food all looks so good!
I just ate dinner 15 min ago and I swear this video has made me hungry again hahahaha
Ahh, thank you!
I wish American’s when coming to the UK would venture out of London. Each county has a lot of regional dishes that are amazing. We do more than fish and chips, English breakfasts and roast dinners.
We traveled all over the country, not only London. I have two playlists on my channel :)
This all looks really good! My daughters and I will be touring the UK in late Dec/early Jan, can't wait!
You will have a wonderful time, I'm sure!
Tami Dunn Many thanks, can't wait!😀

We had a wonderful time!
looks like service station grub double the price and half the taste gross
I love ❤️ England. It is so beautiful. I hope to go back someday and see all those pretty places I haven't visited I love Scotland and Ireland too but haven't been to either. Kevin has a Steak & Ale pie, but that's probably not the kind that you are talking about. We will have to look for a meat pie for sure.
Cornish pasties in Hayle, to die for, big as your foot and fresh made.
nice video, just so you know those thick triangle shaped fried potato things are called hash browns, and french fires are chips and chips are crisps, lol. also i was wondering you called the bacon, ham all the time I was just wondering is american bacon a different meat, or something? Hope you enjoyed our food,
I am used to seeing our ham look like your bacon. We only have the streaky bacon so yours is much better quality.

Glad you love the Costa lemon muffins.Thay are my favourite too.i had one last week.
I didn't know if you had a Costa in your area, but I should have known since they are everywhere ;)
we have at least 4 costas on the island oh and 1 starbucks lol
Would have liked to know were you were with each meal
We filmed a video at each individual location. They are all in this list: ruclips.net/p/PLbGg4C7w6uBWMvqlfkKaGp2ghzPeakqfW
Thank you. Loved video. Have planned a trip for 3 years, something always comes up, like corona.
Wow everything looks so good! Did u still count calories on vacation?
Not once! I also gained about 6 pounds ;)
It's always nice when you have family in the UK like me. England and Scotland. Saves a lot of money on hotels :-)
I wish we did!
7:13 that's fried bread by the looks of it - a classic item in a full English :)
The pie and chips in the pub looked good. Pie and chips is classic pub food. I recommend fish and chips from fish and chip shops, particular when on the coast (or Yorkshire)
Thank you!
Oh My God! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!
Thank you so much!
Absolutely LOVED the all-you-can-eat Scottish breakfast at McLay's guest house in Glasgow. I was there doing graduate research and very limited in money. If I stuffed myself at breakfast, I could skip lunch. Real money saver.
That was a smart idea! I don't blame you.
They do have a plain flavor. This place was like a fast food place here. It would be like going to McDonald's, I think. The meal was good though!
+Tami Dunn OK thank you very much for your reply! I will take a peak around the area and see what else is available :)
I live in England and this video is making my mouth water lol 😂 I should really try all of this, I feel like I'm missing out. Great video, hope you guys get to visit again soon!
We will be back before you know it ;)
Everything looked so delicious.
We have no complaints!
:) :)
The food looks great, hope you enjoyed.
We loved it!
I would catch a plane to France or Italy immediately .
We loved the United Kingdom.
great compilation video!
Thank you!
what did you think of the mushy peas and scotch egg?
The mushy peas were okay. We would have bother enjoyed the Scotch egg more had it been heated, but we do know that it is supposed to be cold.
great vid yall enjoyed it
Thank you!
What were you in England for?
Vacation 😊
I always skipped over this video in my recommended because I thought I watched it already, but apparently I didn’t! Ha! Ha! You are right!!
How much did you pay for food in total while you were on vacation?
The total for all restaurants and cafes was $300.71 (USD). This does not include food that we ate in the room like Mr. Kiplings cakes or the sandwiches from Tesco. Also, while we were on the coach tour, breakfast was included as well as three dinners.
Tami Dunn
So specific!! 🙏🏻
nice vid, just one thing...they're chips not french fries : ))
Thank you!
Dandeknee, to Americans they are fries and always will be fries. We don't bitch when you call them chips or call cookies biscuits, LOL.
We call them all french fries. Some places have thick ones, some thin but they are all fries to us.
barbara its our language so fuck off
mac So "fuck off" is your language? Intelligent.
That looks super indulgent. I imagine dieting would seem way out of the question. But I don't think I could pass up the fish & chips. Thought the gourmet ham hock at the end was really cute. Too bad it didn't have pinto's & cornbread. :)
We had a wonderful vacation away from watching what we eat ;)
Tami Dunn You only live once. One day I hope to go on a wonderful vacation outside the US with my family. Thanks for sharing your traveling experiences. :)
Did you guys fly first class?
We flew Delta Comfort.
Thanks.
I'm bloody starving after watching that!
Off to the fridge for me.
It all looked so yummy i want to visit now
I want to go back now ;)
So many burgers and sandwiches! They all look so good.
They were all wonderful!
One of the best burgers I've ever had was at a Harvester restaurant--a chain, no less. An 8oz. patty, with an option of two. Fantastic!
Everything looked so good! They do an excellent job with presentation. Every time I've seen the bread in England or Ireland (via SacconeJoly's :) I've always been so impressed, their bread looks fresher and more tasty.
It was fresher and had a wonderful flavor.
yeah, fresh bread is really a big thing all over Europe, there is little or no preservatives or additives so the bread is bought and consumed within two days usually (also dairy produce).
Geez, pass the Tagamet. Did you guys have fried food at every meal? I guess they don't do healthy green vegetables much in Scotland.
They may do healthy green vegetables in Scotland, but we didn't want healthy green vegetables ;)
Fair enough! ;)
I love this video!!!
Wow! You both ate a lot of hamburgers on your trip. All of it looked good except for your first meal on the plane. I am planning on going to Borough Market when I am there. Did you go?
We walked past it, but did not walk through it. There were some wonderful smells coming from inside though and they have fresh produce as well.
Unfortunately many Americans head straight for corporate franchises and never get to Try real British dishes.
did you fly business or basic economy
It was Delta Plus.
You've just made me feel hungry , now I've got to cook dinner.
on teh breakfast plate it is bacon! our bacon in teh uk looks like american ham
We LOVED that bacon!
jacqueline defriece depends what bacon you get. americans seem to just eat streaky bacon. but in the uk you get various cuts. if you want american style but streaky
What is the HP sauce?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Sauce
Also known simply as Brown Sauce. IMHO the best sauce for steak and burgers, but great with fried white fish and the awesome Scotch Pie.
That didn't look like chicken pasta it looked a bit alien
You guys look like you had fun. :) I'd love to meet you guys if you ever come to Glasgow. :D
Oh my goodness - we were there! ruclips.net/video/-b8Ajj95Ygw/видео.html
Not steak and Yorkshire pudding, that's one slice of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.
Thanks for watching!
Apart from the airline food it looked delicious. But then, as a Brit, I'm biased!
Paul2377 I agree with you! It was terrific food!
French fries are chips...and chips are crisps in uk
Tami, was it a relief not having to count calories for a whole vacation? :)
Yes, but I did gain about 6 pounds :)
That is one days ration for an Irish farmer!
Ha! Ha! Thanks for watching!
Is his name Keel O' Ver
That pizza looked amazing
It was delicious.
We're you and your hubby away for 6 months? I've put on two stone watching the video
Thanks for watching!
How is it none of these British Food videos where people purchase Mushy Peas don't have Mint Sauce?
I haven't heard of it.
It's a regional thing, some small areas do put mint in the peas but it's a rarity.
You started calling chips french fries but finally swapped to the *correct* version :)
Thanks for watching!
Did they only eat fast food?
We couldn't cook in our hotel room.
I know it’s old video I love costa cakes and they drinks I love food u had it looks so yummy 😋
You Guys, made me hungry, and it s 3:00 A.M., when Im watching this, not good,...!
Thank you so much for watching!
That's the first time I ever seen an Irish Breakfast you look very good the food look real good but they could be a good serving that's what Americans get the biggest Orbeez pretty plentiful Yan and the English breakfast have quite familiar with it and seen it before they both look interesting
Thank you for watching!
Look up the 'Ulster Fry". Now THAT, is a breakfast.
God, I m so hungry, after watching this video,.. OMG,..!
I never could find baked potatoes there!
If you order the right entree, you will have the option of what they call a baked potato, namely, a 'Jacket Potato'.
Looks great!
I would like to visit the Isle of White. One of our friends lives there. I would also like to visit Hastings and Brighton.
My grandparents live on the Isle of Wight, it's very beautiful there. It's a really lovely place to go to on holiday :)
Tami Dunn I think you would love Hastings on the south coast of England. The site of the famous battle and a beautiful seaside resort. Its also close to Eastbourne, home of the pier that was burned down by a chip shop fire. It's also close to London and brighton. Stonehenge is a short drive (Car hire is very cheap.) 6:40 ooooh I could make that garlic bread! Ha it looks super good and simple.
Kevin said the same thing! We both loved that garlic bread.
I'm going to sound biased but it all looked delicious! The only place I have never enjoyed the food is in France believe it or not.
same so many tourist type restaurants in France never found anywhere I really enjoyed in France.
It was all delicious! I cannot wait to return and try lots more :)
nicksynet France is full of great restaurants it's just that I notice Americans seem petrified of going outside tourist traps and eating where the French eat. When you say France did you mean Paris?
are you kidding man? all they eat was shit from motorway service stations fucking disgusting
fish and chips should be from a chippy not a pub, pie and chips or roast dinners from pubs lol
What part of North America are you from! Quite an accent going there!
Kentucky :)
Awesome!
You guys really should have tried a chippy (real fish and chips) and a decent Indian
We asked many people before we went where we could buy traditional fish & chips, but no one ever gave us a name.
Yes and Yes, both of which you can track down with an online search for the best of.
omg my mouth is watering like crazy hahah
Thanks for watching!
thank YOU for making these videos! :*
USDA brisket in England?? Hmm
Oh yes, this place sells it: www.tomhixson.co.uk/usda-brisket.html
Tami Dunn Well no I just meant what would USDA meat be doing in England, kinda strange. It's like meat from Iceland being in out grocery store. It just struck me as odd but all the food looked good tho. Lol.

I agree. We didn't expect the airline food to be wonderful anyway.
Do you want fries with that?
Yes, please!
Its CHIPS
Tami where In Scotland were you also we have the same last name
We went from one side to the other. This is the playlist of our trip: ruclips.net/p/PLbGg4C7w6uBWMvqlfkKaGp2ghzPeakqfW

Every meal you have something with bread duh
It's wonderful! Thanks for watching!
Did u guys sit first class
No, it's called Delta Comfort. It's very roomy though. I would buy these seats again.
Adventures in eating.
Wonderful adventures ;)
Damn, wasn't hungry till I watched this! :-(
Woo glad you got a Nando's in

Too bad, you had to leave,... you should do, Ireland, next time, I am dying to go to both,.. saving it, for a Honeymoon.
We would love to visit Ireland!
Are you inside the airplane
Which airlines did u fly,, yummy food
We flew Virgin Atlantic.
Wow, you guys can EAT!
Yes! We love good food :)
Tami Dunn You're just right! 😊
now I'm starving!!!
Ha! Ha! Watching this video will do that to you :)
We had the best breakfasts and lunch sandwiches in London. None of this fried stuff.
Thanks for watching!
I'm starving now!!!!! Skinny fries haha
We love eating out on vacation because we really don't eat out that much otherwise.
Tami Dunn i hear ya girl. Me too
Lovely food
We really enjoyed it.
I don't want to be intrusive but I know you guys did a lot of walking did you gain any weight
Yes! I gained about 6 pounds even though we walked no less than 7 miles each day in London.
No Haggis? Next time, eh?
We would rather try it fresh and not from a breakfast buffet.
oh my gosh, i'd forgotten about haggis, no thanks LOL!
You like fish and chips.
Yes! :)
Who doesn't ?
It took me couple days to get used to that food there. Even a coke tasted different to me.
McDonalds was not the same as here in Tennessee but I didnt complain really.
I drink Coke Zero and it did not taste any different to me. We LOVED their bacon.
Eating baked beans for breakfast...I just couldnt do it! I only eat it with BBQ!
baked beans in Europe taste very different from what you get in the U.S. Please try it if you can, you'll be pleasantly surprised
baked beans on toast
Each country has it's own fav's...could be worse they could be eating black pudding...I find that horrific.
I know Thats weird
Uk baked beans are not the same thing as US baked beans. 2 totally different products. If you were to try Uk beans for bbq it wouldnt taste the same, just as when trying american beans for breakfast doesng work. 2 different recipes are used to make them.
