The fantastic director, Stanley Kubrick, had said that Dominique Swain (Lolita) would spontaneously add her own little touches here and there in many scenes. I believe the slapping here was was meticulously improvised.
@@dontevenbruh She was a child, and Humbert is an unreliable narrator. She saw him as a father, and she's naturally bratty and flamboyant. Like a little kid.
Idk if you’re saying that it’s a horrible movie bc it’s disgusting but if that’s the case, know that it is the whole point of it! When you understand the whole story, it makes both the book and the movie a genius portrayal of the mind of a p*dophile and how he manipulates and abuses his victim (the book shows it way better tho since the movie is a little harder to interpret) So I suggest you to read the book to better understand Lolita. Humbert was for no doubt an abuser and an unreliable narrator and everything we see is from his point of view. He makes himself the victim and tries to convince us (the readers) that he is a good man who was also manipulated. I know many people say that Lolita is a "love story" and it literally pisses me off because it's certainly not. More like a horror story.
That’s disturbing, she was molested. The film is seen very beautiful, I can’t deny that, because it’s from a paedophile’s (Humbert) perspective … she didn’t initiate anything
"My magic fingers aren't enough?" I love that lineeee❤️ HAHAH

That’s disgusting considering she was a minor. I can’t believe how people do not realize he was a pederast.
