I have Faux and Rebel from this batch 😊. And you are right, Rebel is super versatile and one can change the shade of it by using different liners. I love wearing it in the autumn with Mac's Vino 😍
I wore Faux as a bridesmaid. Did my makeup at 10am, touched up once before pictures at like 3, and got home at 2am. It was still on.
You have to check out the shade Mocha!! Omg!! It looks so beautiful on its like a brown but pink kinda shade.
Rebecca Best I have Mocha but it pulls more yellow on me. Now Spirit is more pinky brown on me. Do u own Spirit? I think it would look pretty with your skintone.
Rebecca Best yeah totally a fall shade, love it. But it is best for warm skin :)

It is such a buildable color and perfect shade for fall/winter !!
This is my favorite MAC finish. I am allergic to lanolin so it's also one of the only MAC finishes I can wear. I have had both Amorous and Captive. My skin is about as light/dark as yours but I am very yellow based. And Amorous looks better on me. Just in case anyone was debating the two....maybe this will help? xoxo
satin and matte/retro matte finishes are my favourite! i have captive and brave ( i bought it because of you ) and i love them! these two and mehr (matte) are my top favourites for everyday!
I like Spirit, Mocha, Paramount, Verve,... but they're all quite brown and I'm not sure how they would look on your skin. Some you might like could be: Fleshpot is like a pink version of Myth, Cherish is a peach version of Velvet Teddy, Pink Nouveau is like WnW Dollhouse Pink and Media is bit more berry than Diva.
Also, I wore Twig on my Wedding day. Probably should have reapplied at least once during the night, but I didn't and it still looked great in photos even at the end. 10/10 would recommend for a lip color that photographs well and holds up/doesn't fade funky
Try the shade Retro. It's a Satin Finish. I don't mean Retro matte but the colour called "Retro".
It's a stunning shade of terracotta reddish brown.
I like it a lot, especially for warmer or more tan skin tones.
If you don't want to buy it, maybe swatch it and take a photo because I think it's an underrated shade and many women with tan or olive complexions would benefit from knowing about that shade.

My favorite MAC satin finish lipstick is Media. It's a beautiful fall shade and a much more wearable version of MAC's matte lipstick Sin (I find MAC matte lipsticks sooo dry but I love their satin lipsticks because they're so comfortable).

Twig was my first MAC lipstick and is still one of my favorites (Brave as well)! Looking at your swatch I think I have to add Amorous to my collection :)
I loved this!! I was swatching some peachy pinks the other day and thought "yes, they're similar! BUT DIFFERENT!" 😂 It's so true!! Keep rocking these swatch videos!

I really wanted you to test out Captive. I've been thinking about adding it to my collection. I can wear NW35 to NC40 in Mac depending on whether I'm tanning.

Rebel was my first Mac lipstick and it was the one I was almost praying to, because I dreamed about it and I couldn't afford it. I have it now and I adore it! but it does not last that long on me, can you recommend some liquid lipstick as a dupe? It can be the same price or even higher, I would love to have the same color but in liquid and matt
Definitely try Mac Satin Lipstick in the shade "Retro." It is a deeper red shade with a hint of brown. Really pretty!
I recently swatched captive, twig, mehr, amorous and faux because I really want to get one of these for fall but I cannot decide which one 😣 I love such colors..
EndlessLifeOfSummer I prefer amorous. Mehr is a good nude better then the popular faux, twin, teddy,... . But amorous is a cute colour, one of my favorites

You have to check out the shade spirit! It's very similar to velvet teddy in my opinion
I remember going into my mom's makeup bag when I was 6! 😂 I remember getting Rebel out and putting it on my lips. The next day I went to school and all the girls from my class asked if my lips were bleeding 😂
I love Mac Satin finish for the reason that they don`t look or feel as drying as matte lipsticks. I love Brave, but I recommend you getting Spirit, its like Velvet Teddy but not as brown.

With Myth, what I like to do if you want to try a cool greige colour is to put Stone lip liner all over my lips, then put Myth on top 😃 Also, the colour Viva Glam II is a beautiful nude in the satin finish range, so I would suggest getting that one for the lip swatch video! Coucou Emilie, j'ai le "Rebel" et je le porte souvent en automne/hiver. De toute façon, j'adore les teintes prunes. Mais j'ai beaucoup aimé aussi les swatchs que tu as fais de "Brave", "Captive", et "Amourous". Ce sont des couleurs moins prononcé que le "Rebel", mais tellement jolies et portables au quotidien. 😊

Nice and informative vid. I personally don't like the finish. Id's rather want something more dry or much less dry. I am planning on trying their less matte finishes.
I got retro, it's a warm nude brown, great for deeper skin tones

Brave looks brown on me too. I have cool tone fair skin but my lips aren't very pigmented. Maybe it's because of it. Mehr looks pinkier on me, but it's a matte finish (comfortable one in my opinion).

Of the ones you have, I have Rebel, Twig and Amorous. Then I also have Media, Viva Glam II, Hollywood Cerise(le), Retro, Si Si Me(le), Verve and Paramount (most recent buy). Of these Amorous and Retro are my favorite! So I think you should definitely try Retro!
And thanks for comparing Captive with Amorous. Now I know I don't need that one haha!
