Great Idea Man ... is the jack hoist removeable for when not in use ? it works great no need for ramps plus alot easier to load anything
Yes it is quick to unbolt entire crane or pull the top and leave the pole in place.
I’ve been wanting to install a few things myself, but I was wondering about welding on a vehicle. Can you weld on a truck with gas still in the tank? Do you need to disconnect the battery? Thanks.
Welding wise always try to take the time to disconnect the battery. Gas tank wise. Unless you are over the top of it or right next to it you should be fine. If ever worried pack the area with soaked pair of old jeans before welding.

Im curious about how your welds held up. They looked too cood.
Bed has been on 4 trucks and never rewelded. Flux core welds look different then gas with solid core.
