I had a carter 800 quadra jet carby on a 351 there awesome u won’t go back to 750 just more fuel cause u will want to feed it everywhere. Sick Ute what a beast well done
Hi what brand trans crossmember did u use . Was it used because exhaust clearance or u did not have one ?? Does the aftermarket give better exh clearance than factory unit ?
I show in a previous video me removing the old crossmember (wich was a modified 6cyl one) because of a few reasons. 1 being i couldnt remove the crossmember without removing the transmisson. 2 the transmission would sit too close to the tunnel. I didnt have a problem with exhaust clearance with ethier because i built the exhaust around it. So i ended up buying a rod shop specific th400 crossmember. As the factory th400 crossmembers are usually equivalent or more expensive and hard to find.
@@Joedennett69 Yes I have a factory th400 with reinforcing plates vs Trimatic with out . From memory 2 different widths also . Even the collector /exh connection seems to have to duck under the X member in your ute . Do u think the x member could be higher or no more room above ??? Could your exhaust go higher to the existing aftermarket x member ??
@@paulthompson1654 I am running block hugger headers opposed to most guys that run 4into 1 long tubes that collect behind the motor, because if this the spacing between the two pipes is very narrow so the exhaust clearancing in the cross member is irrelevant to me. I did have to put a few dents in my pipes for me to get the desired exhaust height and clear the crossmember
Unless my eyes are playing up today hahahaha the steering wheel has been Americanised.. These Aussie legends are just built to out last everything, Hey is this a 1872 model? I drive a 76 HJ Wagon, Cheers..
The microphone wasn't having it today.
Classic dude. Cool build. I appreciated your honesty with the leaking transmission pan. 😂
Looks freaky with the selfie camera driving on the other side 😁😁
It’s enjoyable to watch this build coming along.
