- @CoventryCityFC welcomes @watfordfcofficial to the @CoventryBuildingSocietyArena in a week where they have already picked up 6 points and looking to make that 9 for the first time in nearly 12 months...
Jonas was excited to visit the new Family Zone before the kick off as a new location had opened up for todays match.
An interesting story appeared before the weekends game where the manager of @watfordfcofficial would be replaced either before the game or after the match, the club confirmed that #Cleverly would be in charge for the @CoventryCityFC match in a crazy 24 hrs.
the #skyblues were to line up with 1 change with Thomas coming in for Binks.
The game started well with the #skyblues looking the more likely to score, but the #hornets were also dangerous on the break, with the influential #Georgian #Chakvetadze causing problems when ever he got the ball.
However, the #skyblues were looking the more likely to score and they broke the deadlock in the middle of the first half when the brilliant #Rudoni put in a fantastic ball that was met by #Torp to make it 1-0.
the game carried on at pace, but no more goals were scored before half time.
in the second half, the #skyblues were again looking the most likely to score and added to their advantage with a second goal from Victor Torp. This time it was a Torpedo free kick scored from just outside the 18 yard Box. It was a great free kick and he is shown again that he is excellent when it comes to opportunities from outside the box.
the #skyblues looked in control of the game, but @watfordfcofficial made changes to try and get back into the game, Which they did when a deflected effort clipped Liam Kitching and rolled into the bottom corner to make it 2-1.
The #skyblues though handled the pressure and came out with the 2-1 victory they deserved.
it ends a great week for #franklampard who has now got @CoventryCityFC on a role and they move on to an away game against @SwanseaCity a club where #franklampard spent some time on loan at the start of his career.
The #skyblues move up to 12, 6 points off the play offs as we enter February..
