This guy ignored Russia completely, what happened to Swift? Russia's economy is growing outside of Swift, All China is doing is not buying any more US debt, and the Dollar they held they use to buy things they need like energy, and the rest they use to buy gold instead of US bonds
This guy is talking about the currency and ignored the bond market, the US can't print if it can't sell its bonds because that will lead to inflation, Biden was sending his cronies to beg China to start buying US debt because of the inflation does not allow the FED to create more dollars, they want the existing ones to be used to buy US debt and China is not having it,

One sentence. Like it or not, the US Dollar usage is definitely going down significantly and will be used and relied on less by more if not almost all countries but it won't go away totally. It will come to a point where the USD won't be the reserved currency anymore.

    • @gelinrefira
      @gelinrefira 4 месяца назад

It will come to the point when the USD is not as important anymore so that countries and investors no longer need to buy so many US bonds and treasuries, and when that point comes, the US government will find it impossible to sell enough bonds/treasuries to cover its spending. Then, America will finally have a reckoning with its past sins and crimes.

It’s a double edged sword for China. Trying everything in their power to reduce their reliance of the dollar, things like trading for oil in the Yuan (transactions that used to occur in dollars), and selling off US debt at a rapid pace. But at the same time, like your video outlined, they still need the dollar

Michael Hudson forsees an alternative trade payment system alongside USD payment system. BRICS currency, unlike USD, is to be held by their central banks and not the public. Otherwise, their annual deficits will be settled in gold. The whole idea is not to replace USD but about self-preservation. But the move will undermine the USD.

There's a few things that Aaron didn't bring up. 1) China has already reduced more than 1/3 of the Treasury from 1.2 trillion in 2016 to less than 800 billion today. 2) BRICS are bring up their currency backed by gold rather than the US which is backed by thin air. A few dozen countries are already interested in using this new BRICS currency. 3) China has done a bunch of currency swaps with numerous countries and trading in their respective currencies instead of the dollar.
China is still dependent on the dollar but much less than a few years back.

The British empire was called the empire on which the sun never sets. The British pound was king until breten woods in 1945 when the dollar became the world's reserve currency. As an American business man who have traveled around the world and understand global economic trends, This kid thinks he is smarter than Ray Dalio a man worth 12 billion and one of America's preeminent investors who has spent 40 years investing in china. This kid has never been to china .The problem with this argument is,he sees the world through American exceptionalism and eternalism. what he does not understand is the u.s is not only dealing with china but 85% of the global population. The global south. The dollar is a fiat current back by noting but trust in the American government. Since china is the worlds largest trading partner, it makes no economic sense for the global south to use a third party in global trade. Having the global reserve currency is not a right but a preveledge. We have weaponized our reserves currency statuse, abused other nations with sanctions, wage endless economic wars sanctions on nations, cause untold suffering, death and destruction. The chinese yuan has exceeded the dollar in global trade and global south nations do not need to dump the dollar to do serious damage to the American economy. Bilateral trade agreements, bypassing swift and the dollar in global trade alone is enough to overthrow the dollar. Our debt 34 trillion is unsustainable and our reckless spending is decreasing the wealth of our bond holders by exporting our inflation. Weaponization of the dollar has caused decrease in u.s bonds purchase by foreign entities because we can not be trusted. As Bilateral trade agreements continue to rise, the use of the dollar will Gradually decrease causing massive inflation here at home. The dollar will die a death by a thousand cuts. it may take 5 to 10 years. The rise of BRICS is the beginning of the end of u.s dollar hegemony.

Unfortunately, you being an “American business man” doesn’t give you any credentials because based on your analyse you don’t seem to be a very successful business man.
Saying the USD will collapse in 5 to 10 years is the first problem I spotted. A completely nonsensical and delusional argument that the man you referred to in your comment “Ray Dalio” does not agree with.
Further more, as I myself have spent a large portion of my life in business mainly in the US, Middle East and south east Asia, I can tell you that “bilateral trade agreements” aren’t as simple to implement as you have stated. Your arguments presupposes that the US will sit back and won’t strengthen its already strong alliances? Look at the recent news about the deal between the US, Saudi Arabia and potentially Israel (Israel isn’t too likely). It hasn’t been finalised but there is an implicit strengthening of the petro-dollar, meaning that the USD isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Furthermore, yes the yuan did overtake the USD in chinas cross border payments but the yuan only accounts for 3.7% of global payments which is a shadow compared to the dollar 46.6%. Let’s not forget that china trades with 60% of countries that are aligned with the US so overtaking the USD isn’t as easy as you may think.
If the USD does collapse it doesn’t happen in our lifetime my friend. Would love to know if you have been affiliated with any companies since you are an “international business man” so that I can stay as far away from those companies as possible. You don’t know a thing about reality. Sit down

    view from America
every country does and want to control the fluctuation of value of their currency.
Americans printing money to solve their domestic problems and fight foreign wars is the major driver to reduce usd. plus us exports its inflation.
swift is an us controlled entity and us has used this control to exclude countries from the global payment system.
americans can freeze or steal foreign usd holdings kept in us and western banks.

Unlikely. Brics is expanding and more inter trade settlement in yuan deals already signed between China, Saudi and Brazil. Asean has also started moving in that direction.China being their largest trading partner, you can expect more trade payments be either in yuan or Asean own local currencies.

You ignored reality completely China is getting richer and going up, they don't concentrate on toilet paper they want real things, and that's why they stopped buying US debt instead they use the dollar to buy things including gold, So those countries that sell minerals and gold to China have not the luxury to buy US bonds they use that dollar to buy food and things they need that will stop the fed from creating more dollars because of the inflation too much money chasing fewer goods
The US wants those countries to use their dollar to buy US debt bonds and then pay them interest with their dollar so that means they work hard to create stuff sell it get the dollar and use that dollar to buy toilet paper called US bonds and the cycle goes again, it called a Ponzi scheme

I think you've missed the point altogether. The fiat USD is going down, but no-one claimed it's going to collapse ... yet.
All excess fiat USD's that countries all over the world had, are being directed elsewhere, such as gold, silver, oil, or local currency, because USA has totally and utterly abused their fiat USD. But these countries leave a little of their residual fiat USD's to keep trading with the fewer countries that are still only trading in the fiat USD's .... but they are becoming fewer and fewer as the years go by.
So, yes, the fiat USD is being slowly diminishing, because USA have politicised it, and has stolen countries fiat USD's from the SWIFT accounts because USA decided they don't like the targeted countries government, religion, opinions, etc.
