Panasonic V981 and V785 Camcorder External Mic Issue

If I didn't let myself get so aggravated by FedEx I would have figured out sooner. The TLDW is set the Mic to anything but "Auto". And plug in when the screen is facing backwards.
MarkusPix has done many excellent videos on these camcorders.

I'm thinking, either take the Panasonic HC-785GWK or the Canon PowerShot SX740 HS superzum.
I also want to buy a Panasonic HC-785GWK. Can this camera take photos?

I don't know. I'd just do a frame grab. Or use my cell phone.

I don't like you can't rec 1080p in 30p, it brings it down to 720p to rec in 30p.

Interesting. I thought it came out in 2016, but looking at it now it says 2022. It has its quirks, but I still love it.
